Thanks for the review, man! After watching several videos about this particular computer, I think you offered the most sincere, honest opinion than others. I think I'll be picking this up as my entry level gaming PC.
Great review man! I have been looking for a starter gaming PC and this one came up and I am now on my way to pick it up because of your review! Thanks bro!
Been looking at switching from console to pc, such a bigger library of games to play. Between COVID-19 and using graphic card for mining we have a shortage and you can’t get your hands on any of the parts for reasonable prices. Birthday is next week, been watching reviews on this pc might make the leap. Even if I just pull the parts from it to build one I Appreciate the review 100%
@@GamingwithGoody yea the guy at Micro center said you can get the Hp with everything in it for the price of the GPUs right now. He said only thing you need to transfer over to a nicer build is Case, power supply, and motherboard I would probably start with that then upgrade Ram and SSD
I’d been trying to upgrade my 9 year old pc that’s been sitting in my closet for 3 years. After dropping about $300 into it I gave up sadly. Given that fact, I didn’t want to tell the wife I was dropping another $1,000+ on a gaming pc. I researched a bit and found this. Granted I only play WoW but I run at near max settings and it’s smooth as butter. I could get more out of it but I don’t really have the need. I’ve been running for 2 weeks now and zero issues. It’s hard to fathom getting a better machine for $600 and you’d be hard pressed to find anything better from the $800-$1000 range. Being HP you will want to run debloater software but that’s just how the large manufacturers run.
This is honestly, from personal opinion, a great review. Very great. You earned a sub and a like. I am currently saving up for this PC for TH-cam videos and live streaming. Let me know if you are willing to give me some tips! Awesome video man keep it up. 🎉👍
Thanks man this helped sooooo much I was rlly nervous thinking I would need to find a new one after watching 2 videos made by people who had no clue what they were talking about.
Well I'm glad I could be of help. And yeah I found a few people as well that were down talking it so much. But with what came inside I felt confident enough to go on and buy it, and wanted to let people know my experience. And I won't claim to be any kind of expert, but I just tell it how I see it.
I got this PC 1 month ago and it will run most games on Medium to High settings at 1080P 60 FPS. I plan on upgrading my RAM soon, but even with only 8 Gygs it doesn't have many problems with modern games.
Just purchased mine, and added the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1650 super to it, HP is having a decent deal on their site right now. For the price this is the best prebuilt out there
You're an absolute goat I actually work at Walmart so right now because of Black Friday I'm getting 25% off of one transaction So I'm going to end up picking up this computer for about 515$ You've got my sub
Andrew, I used to build my own computers with high powered graphics cards, the fans were always 'noisy' compared to the off the shelf cheap computer I bought recently. Me and my wife both WFH and share the same small office so having a quiet computer is a plus. Can you hear any of the fans on your new gaming computer?
So far all I've heard is good reviews on this one! So Definitely Going To be saving up for this one as it definitely sounds amazing and perfect for me! Thanks for the review!!
Thank you. But yeah it's a process. And yeah it's definitely not a bad PC. Good price too, especially with how much stuff is being price gouged with the current state of the world.
Thanks for hour review. My ps4 died on me and with ps5 being so difficult to find i thought about buying this to play modern warefare. Think you sold me. Thanks
Got two of these recently (one for myself and one for my wife) so I bought a 16 gb kit (PNY about 85$ from best buy and threw in a 500 gb ssd (also PNY from walmart about 50$ each). I put the stick of memory from mine into her machine (so original memory stick) at it runs at 3200mhz! The memory I bought caps out at 2666 mhz even using Ryzen master and manually adjusting. If I go to 1600 adjustment (to make it run at 3200) it crashes and I have to pull out the bios battery to reset the system. Just letting people know if you are having problems. I am not sure what memory you can buy that will match it and make it run at 3200mhz, unless you buy direct from hp ($$$). Having said all that, I think that this is the best bang for your buck premade. Only annoyance is the fixed bios without XMP support, but again you can tweak with ryzen master but not ideal.
@@beastmangledyou176 whatever the factory stick in there was…it runs at 3200….my so called performance ram is not liked by the system I guess as it will only run at 2666 using ryzen master.
I really appreciate the detail and your experience with this computer. I’m starting to work more from home this computer should fit the bill and not break my bank thanks
Glad to have found you! We bought the same PC at about the same time. Found it via Toasty Bros and my last stimulus went to good use. Been wanting to stream for a long time, but lacked the PC (and until recently a good internet) for satisfying streaming. I THINK I am getting my settings down for youtube. Just the other day trying Twitch again (had to make a new account) and I think that may take more work. I don't know that the quality is where it should be. Dialing-in my stream settings for the platforms is my work. But how hard could that be when using Geforce and Twitch Studio? Don't know that I want to go back to OBS. Doesn't look like we are competitors. I only play the greatest game of all time and the only game worth playing: Skyrim. You appear to play other games. ;) Thanks for the review and good fortune on your streaming career.
Well thank you so much for those kind words. And yeah pretty much same for me, stimulus hit so I invested on something I could potentially use for more. And that's pretty much when I was able to start streaming better and more often. But yeah I've always used OBS for streaming and I've liked it. Actually going to be recording a video with how I've set mine up for some people that have asked me. Also best of luck to you as well with everything.
Thanks, dude, I can't tell ya how happy I am u actually answered this question and jst in time for the president day sale they had going i literally was able to cop this for 450 bucks on hps website with only and hour left to spare !!!! Same pc, upgraded ram to 16 gigs and 2 TB hard drive ....Runs like a dream. Warzone, fortnite, flight sim 2020, modern warfare work perfect. Best value around for 600$ if you can find one get it.
I bought it 4 days ago and couldnt be happier and for them bad reviews idk exactly their issue but this think boots up fast than I can get up and as far as the psu goes I was a little on the edge with it as well because I had an evga psu fail on my too but it was due to thunderstorms but I now unplug it so I have no worries
Well I'm glad to hear it. I really enjoy this PC as well, for a $600 one I'm really happy with it. And yeah I mean sure, there may always be bad products in a large group of things, maybe they just happen to get some of them unfortunately. But hope it keeps up for ya.
I like the environment of this video, it’s not all “HEY GUYS WELCOME BACK TO THE CHANNEL GAMERS” It just feels like I’m on a discord call or something like that
Just ordered this yesterday with the same specs for $688+tax. That was the best price I could find for it in new condition. Unless I missed something, it is currently still the best prebuilt for that price. Its mainly for my son and I to game with. Just seen this review and although im seeing it after i purchased, it definitely gives me a little more ease of mind about it. By the way, I hope your channel keeps getting more and more subscribers and think you're doing a great job.
Well thank you for those kind words. And yeah the price has recently gone up since my review, but 688 still isn't bad. And I hope you all enjoy as I have.
@@GamingwithGoody Yeah I actually found that they had 1 at my local Walmart the same day I posted my comment and it was for $600 so I was kicking myself a little. I went back the next day and it was gone and its not been in stock or available for $600 online at walmart so I guess having paid an extra $88 isnt too bad considering the alternatives and the odds of this being in stock for $600 again.
No thank you, but honestly at the moment I just got a cheaper one that matched the speed of what came in it. www.ebay.com/itm/8GB-DDR4-2666MHz-PC4-21300-288-pin-DESKTOP-Memory-Non-ECC-2666-Low-Density-RAM-/332828410314?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
Yeah i understand that, there are alot of options. I just got that one because from what I've seen the motherboard is limited to that speed. And so far so good, and it registered 16gb ram right away.
Was thinking of getting this, seems like a good entry level pc and was wondering how easy it is to add an interior hard drive or if it’s better to just attach external one via usb
Well external would just be the quick and easy, not really better. And inside it shouldn't be too hard, get either an ssd or hdd that's connects with a sata cable. Then there is a mount inside where they would screw into. I'm not sure which size it would take, haven't paid attention yet.
Gaming with Goody appreciate the response, does it come with screws to screw in for the hard drive or would I have have to find them elsewhere and how would one go about finding the right fit (sorry for the complex question lol)
@@GamingwithGoody I ended up getting the same PC (only difference is intel cpu rather than amd) and it works great and i easily installed an internal Hardrive myself (first time working with pcs)
I have the same pc and had it for about 3 weeks and have had no problem I’ve been running Fortnite at 240 FPS it’s a good starter pc and it’s my first and I love it 😊
That's good to hear, and yeah it's my first as well. Couldn't remember if I mentioned that in the video or not. But yeah I agree, I think it's a really solid intro/budget PC. Hope it keeps up for ya.
Hey bro, thank you for the amazing review! I'm planning on getting one with a i5-10400f and the gtx 1650 super. However, I am worried about the PSU, listed at 310 watts. Nvidia suggested a 400 watt PSU for an 10th gen i5 and 1650 super. Have you experienced any problems with the PSU? Like, could the desktop last for more than 4 hours?
Ok and yeah, for me I used OBS for my streaming. You go into setting and for encoder select nvenc. Not the x264. That means your gpu's dedicated encoder will handle it, not your cpu. Also when you open OBS, open it as administrator, that will put OBS as top priority instead of game. Just note doing that you may get slightly lower fps, but you won't drop anywhere near as many frames on stream.
@@GamingwithGoody okay that helps.. i have a two pc set up so this pc is strictly for recording and streaming. So i was very shocked to know I’m still getting skipped frames. But I’m going to change it to nvenc. Just subbed. Thanks for the help

This hp pavilion gaming desktop pc is fantastic for what you pay. Easily can be be upgraded and you can upgrade to a better hp psu 500 watts L05757-800. Oh wow yeah you got it upgraded to the max. And thank you, I couldn't remember what HP psu it was to look for. And yeah I don't know people want to hate on the PC so much
Hi, i bought mine last week(Sweden), got the tg01-1810no model which comes with Ryzen 5 4600g, 2x4Gb DDR4 2666mhz and the GTX 1650 4gb. I am also thinking about upgrading some time in the future... but the biggest problem so far is finding a stronger power supply, my pc has the 310W 80+ gold version. Did you buy 2666mhz memory or 3200mhz? Also.. where did you install the noctua intake cooler? On the side panel? Doesn't your pc have 80mm fans?! Sorry for asking so many questions but you gave me hope about upgrading :)
@@ar87ace hello as for your question I've installed two 16gb crucial ballastix memory 3200 mhz as for the pc exhaust and intake fan size you are correct I've mistaken the size for width lol as for intake fan I've installed on the inside cage black section below the section where you would install an ssd drive lines up perfectly with the case perforation using only the 4 rubber pins that comes with the noctua a9 fans also use the y connector to connect both the cpu fan and intake fan together. @@mercurysaint77 Thanks for the info and the quick reply. Having the better cpu but the lamest power supply. Doesn't help much :( By now i'm thinking that my only option would be to buy another psu just for the gpu alone

I got almost same pc but was 941$ with tax and shipping but has 16gb of ram. And I was told cost more because of shortage of chips I just ordered today from Newegg
Yeah that chip shortage is killer with a lot of things right now. In my state there are about 20,000 new Ford trucks parked in a lot waiting on chips to come in.
I got a refurb one of these for $425. Same specs except the CPU secretly turned out to be the 3600. I only wish I got the 1660 Ti or Super version or whatever version of this. 1660 Super would be a real nice sweet spot.
@@GamingwithGoody It's really nice having 6C/12T. Never knew I needed it until I got it. I put in 32GB of DDR4 3200 that was only $90. A little excessive but I switch between gaming and docker and VMs so I use at least half. I put in my 512GB wd black 2280. I added ax card. Downsides are not a lot of bays and no x8 slot free for a 10 Gbit NIC so all it will ever have is 1 Gbit or cram a 2.5 Gbit in the x1 slot. It's also kinda too light. I've tripped on my headphones and almost knocked it off the desk. The 400W PSU wouldn't work for the highest end cards of each generation so it will never have one of those. We'd probably have to stick to *60's or *70's.
Yeah that is true it is decently light. And yeah the psu being that proprietary design is one downside. And yeah that why I only plan on going to the 1660 super. I've heard a couple people say you could possibly go to the 2060 if you wanted to try and push it, but I'm not going to try that. And I've only went up to 16gb ram, but still helps out. But yeah glad it's working well for ya.
I'm new to the PC gaming world after 20+ years of gaming consoles. I only want to play GTA V & stream on this PC, I'm hoping I can get at least get 50-60fps while streaming and playing at the same time without having to upgrade right away. Hope you can answer this in a timely manner before I purchase soon.
Well I have not personally played gta on this PC, I'm sure you would be able to lay and stream but I'm not sure what the fps would be. But upgrading the ram to 16gb would be helpful regardless and is an inexpensive upgrade. You can do it for around $40 or so
They aren't bad from my experience. Granted it is only 60hz but the picture isn't bad. And I didn't even think about the speakers but they might be, can't remember off the top of my head cause when I'm gaming I'm using a headset anyways.
Do you know if you could put it into a new case? I don’t know a lot about PCs just trying to get one to start out with and this one has the best reviews for the best price.
Well to do that you would most likely need to get a different motherboard and psu. As they are HP proprietary design and may not fit right in a different case
Id like to get back into a desktop for video and photo editing . This seems like a good PC for that. Any recommendations on software for this kind of stuff?
Well of course premiere pro is one of the most preferred for video editing, but it does cost a bit. I've always just used animotica. It has a one time cost of $15. And I don't think it's too bad for the cheaper editor.
I just picked one of these up last week just for video and audio recording and editing. I've only just started to get it up and running so far from able to tell you pros and cons but it's promising. I just have to move my software and files from my old Lenovo and add an external DVD/CD burner and should be good to go.
I enjoy this review! My mom is thinking about getting a bundle for this pc, and I wanna know if there's anything you reccomend before I turn on or use the pc?!
Well thank you kindly. And there is nothing you would have to do before using it, its ready to go right out of the box. Now depending on what you will be using it for, I would say the first simple upgrade would be another 8gb stick of ram to take it up to 16gb. Which you can find ones that match the speed of the stock one for like $30 online. I just recently did that to mine.
I just went with a simple cheaper one at the moment that matched the speed, which the board limits the speed to 2666 hz. And I got mine on ebay here. www.ebay.com/itm/8GB-DDR4-2666MHz-PC4-21300-288-pin-DESKTOP-Memory-Non-ECC-2666-Low-Density-RAM-/332828410314?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
That all depends on the games and the setting you choose. Minecraft on high settings gets in the 80's usually. Fortnite on epic get around 70, in performance mode it's well over 200. And it should work well with those games. Especially if you add 8gb of ram like I did.

Thanks for the review, man! After watching several videos about this particular computer, I think you offered the most sincere, honest opinion than others. I think I'll be picking this up as my entry level gaming PC.
Well congrats man. And I'm glad that I could help out. And yeah mine is still holding up well. Hope all works out well.
It’s a good starter
Great review man! I have been looking for a starter gaming PC and this one came up and I am now on my way to pick it up because of your review! Thanks bro!
Well you are welcome and also thank you. I hope it works out for you as well as it has for me.
I was planning on getting this to play gta with 5m with friends so this is great
Thank you for a complete and coherent review. I'll be buying one soon
Wait what this dude only has 300 subs? I thought he had a couple thousand. You really do deserve more bro.
Thank you for that. I appreciate it
Thanks for this review! I like your video because it actually shows what the computer can do. Thanks again!
Yeah man I completely understand that. I've thought about doing that down the road. Cause like you said, prices on everything is sky high right now.
@@GamingwithGoody yea the guy at Micro center said you can get the Hp with everything in it for the price of the GPUs right now. He said only thing you need to transfer over to a nicer build is Case, power supply, and motherboard I would probably start with that then upgrade Ram and SSD
That does make sense cause yeah the power supply and motherboard are HP's proprietary design. I just did ram and storage for now.
Well that is good to hear man. I appreciate hearing others experiences with this PC as well
This is honestly, from personal opinion, a great review. Very great. You earned a sub and a like. I am currently saving up for this PC for TH-cam videos and live streaming. Let me know if you are willing to give me some tips! Awesome video man keep it up. 🎉👍
Just bought this pc and I love it thanks for your review bro😁
Not a problem, glad I could help and I'm happy you're enjoying it.
Can you play Skyrim and streaming it
Well I don't currently own that game, but I'll look into it
do u like it?
That's what I've recently done is go to 16gb. The next thing I'd like to do at some point is go to a 1660 super.
was the price still 600? i only find it for 760?
Yeah it was still showing $600. They have several pcs with different components that looks the same. Maybe it was a different model.

I play legit everything on high and get about 165 fps on high
Just purchased mine, and added the NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1650 super to it, HP is having a decent deal on their site right now. For the price this is the best prebuilt out there
Yeah that's what I've thought. That it's a pretty solid pre-built for the price
Bro thanks I was wondering if it was worth buying now I know it is you deserve more subs
Well thank you and I'm glad I could help
You're an absolute goat I actually work at Walmart so right now because of Black Friday I'm getting 25% off of one transaction
So I'm going to end up picking up this computer for about 515$
You've got my sub
That's awesome, and thanks. I used to work at Walmart back about a decade ago lol
Ty your Chanel is wholesome your so kind
Well thank you, that means a lot.
So far all I've heard is good reviews on this one! So Definitely Going To be saving up for this one as it definitely sounds amazing and perfect for me! Thanks for the review!!
You're welcome, glad I could help out!
Only 57 subs wtf Great video man definitely thinking about getting this pc
Thank you. But yeah it's a process. And yeah it's definitely not a bad PC. Good price too, especially with how much stuff is being price gouged with the current state of the world.

Well thank you so much
OMG i had to look twice at your subs you should be in the thousands great video God bless 👊
Well thank you much. It have been going up pretty quickly now, so maybe soon. 🤞
Yeah. I like how he addressed a few of the negatives with screenshot posts. Nice pro vs con with viewpoint rebuttal
Thanks for hour review. My ps4 died on me and with ps5 being so difficult to find i thought about buying this to play modern warefare. Think you sold me. Thanks
Well you're welcome. I'm glad I could help
What do you change to make ram run at 3200mhz
@@beastmangledyou176 whatever the factory stick in there was…it runs at 3200….my so called performance ram is not liked by the system I guess as it will only run at 2666 using ryzen master.
I really appreciate the detail and your experience with this computer. I’m starting to work more from home this computer should fit the bill and not break my bank thanks
Well I'm glad I could help out. And yeah I'm still satisfied with mine as well
Glad to have found you!
You appear to play other games. ;)
Thanks for the review and good fortune on your streaming career.
@@GamingwithGoody I'll keep an eye out for those stream settings. If works for you should work for me. Right?
I would think so. Only variable would be our internet connections.
Thanks for the review. It's helping me with my buying decision.
You're welcome

I actually had to look that up to see. But I could see it lol. I mean dad life can do that.
Thanks, dude, I can't tell ya how happy I am u actually answered this question and jst in time for the president day sale they had going i literally was able to cop this for 450 bucks on hps website with only and hour left to spare !!!! I bought my first beginner gaming pc about 3 months ago I’ve play PlayStation my whole life. It’s on the slower side with an i5 6400 and a 1050 Ti and 24gb of ram but I was looking to get this for my wife but it’s faster than mine lol I can’t have that
Oh the problems lol, thanks for bringing me a chuckle today. But yeah this is a pretty solid intro/budget PC.
There is some upgradable parts. You can up the gpu some, like I said in the other comment, the ram, and storage. Not sure about the cpu.
@@GamingwithGoody can do 3rd Gen ryzen seen dude on yt put ryzen 7 3700x in this pc

Thank you for that. And best of luck to you
How's the PC? I'm thinking of getting to for streaming and playing small games like valorant and brawlhalla
It's still holding up well. And it should handle that really well.
So informative!

I agree. I love it as well.
Is there a spot to add more storage to the motherboard or is it USB storage
@@Hookemsteve yes there’s a connection to add an additional storage drive inside the pc. I believe it’s a 2.5 inch

You should’ve waited. 4th Gen Ryzen SKU drops on 2/10 with DDR4 3200 support.
Imma get this pc soon I’m saving up money for it
Just ordered this yesterday with the same specs for $688+tax.
Right. Yeah the 88 extra for definitely getting it isn't too bad. When like you said I usually see them around 800 now.
I got the same pc and I was wondering what Ram you got to upgrade it to 16gb ram thank you great vid.
No thank you, but honestly at the moment I just got a cheaper one that matched the speed of what came in it.

@@GamingwithGoody How is it holding up for you? I have been looking to get a second stick but idk which one to get
Yeah i understand that, there are alot of options. I just got that one because from what I've seen the motherboard is limited to that speed. And so far so good, and it registered 16gb ram right away.
I'm glad it worked well for you too. And I appreciate the view of it from another perspective.

Great video thanks for the honest review I think this is the one!!
Thank you and you're welcome. And yeah I think it's a solid intro PC for sure.
It does come with screws in the box. And you're fine lol
@@GamingwithGoody I ended up getting the same PC (only difference is intel cpu rather than amd) and it works great and i easily installed an internal Hardrive myself (first time working with pcs)
That's sounds great. And I'm glad it's working out for you. I have yet to add an internal drive, but it's on my eventual to-do list.
Dude so under rated
Thank you so much
Besides upgrading to 16 GB of ram, what else would need to be upgraded on this pc? Thanks.
At least early on possibly storage, depending on what types of games you play. 256 can just be a little low when it comes to a lot of today's titles
Thanks for the info it was very helpful, this one’s definitely an option and love raft fun game 🙏🏻

Nvidia suggested a 400 watt PSU for an 10th gen i5 and 1650 super. Have you experienced any problems with the PSU? Like, could the desktop last for more than 4 hours?
Hmm I hadn't seen the one with the 310 psu. Mine has the 400 watt inside. So I can say with the 400 watt it does. Sorry I can't help more
@@GamingwithGoody thank you bro I subbed!
Well thank you for that!!
Thank you for the review.
You're welcome. I'm glad I could help out.
Hello i have the same pc. And can you tell me exactly how you got the stream to run so smoothly? I get skipped frames

Did you buy 2666mhz memory or 3200mhz? Also.. where did you install the noctua intake cooler? On the side panel? Doesn't your pc have 80mm fans?! I got a refurb one of these for $425. Same specs except the CPU secretly turned out to be the 3600. I only wish I got the 1660 Ti or Super version or whatever version of this. 1660 Super would be a real nice sweet spot.
Oh nice, not a bad deal on that. How's it holding up? And yeah 1660 super is what I plan on putting in mine whenever prices come down.
@@GamingwithGoody I really think it's crazy that the 1650 Super alone can go for up to $400. Seems like the only way to get in is to buy prebuilt.

@@GamingwithGoody alright thanks! Any reccomendations for them or is any type fine?!
I just went with a simple cheaper one at the moment that matched the speed, which the board limits the speed to 2666 hz. And I got mine on ebay here. www.ebay.com/itm/8GB-DDR4-2666MHz-PC4-21300-288-pin-DESKTOP-Memory-Non-ECC-2666-Low-Density-RAM-/332828410314?_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49292
What is the max FPS it can handle and would it be good for games like left 4 dead 2,CS:GO,Gmod,Minecraft,and gta 5. If so ima save up for it
That all depends on the games and the setting you choose. Minecraft on high settings gets in the 80's usually. Fortnite on epic get around 70, in performance mode it's well over 200. And it should work well with those games. Especially if you add 8gb of ram like I did.
i run l4d2 and gmod on a potato with no integrated graphics and no gpu on a single 8gb ram stick, you’re definetely good for gmod and l4d2 lol
