I’m autistic and currently 11 weeks thank you for sharing this. I’m also a Christian so this is so encouraging for me and good cause my planing and wanting a specific environment.
Thank you so much for doing this! I am an autistic woman who is trying to concieve with my husband. It's so hard finding videos on autistic experiences while pregnant.
So glad I got the best treatment for my autistic son who is only 4 years old I've been using Dr Oyalo Herbal medicine and it has been really helpful,💯 his speech has improved completely and he can now respond to name when called and can also say what he want
This is lovely. Not with child currently, but have really connected with late in life diagnosis of Autism. Diagnosis are quite hard and expensive to get, so all my info has come from researching other adults experiences. Thank you for taking the time to share about your life. So special, and helpful!
❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you, Purple Ella❤❤❤❤ My birth weight was 1lbs 11oz…yet 39 years later I was a preemie adult and try to enjoy life to the fullest❤❤❤❤ Thank you for this video❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you for this I am autistic newly discovered/diagnosed, I had a twin pregnancy first than I had a single baby again before I was known as me being autistic. I wish I knew to look for this before . If I get pregnant again this makes all the difference for me.
Would you say that tendency to research everything to death is pretty common in autism? I'm the same way. I always say I'm a "researcher by nature." I get special interests all the time that I obsess about. Aside from morning sickness and headaches after that, pregnancy was amazing for me too! I had never felt so balanced mentally as I did when I was pregnant! Thanks for sharing your experience!
Thank you so much for this video. I’m autistic and my husband and I finally decided to start trying after being together a full decade. I am very anxious and excited and consuming MASSIVE amounts of information to cope but there’s a shockingly severe lack of information about being autistic and pregnant. All I see on Google is things about doing things in order to not have an autistic child. Which is upsetting to not feel prepared (and puzzling because it feels like they’re talking in way that’s akin to saying, “how to not have a werewolf child” 😂). So to find actual autistic women telling their experiences and saying, “yeah, you researching and wanting a baby book immediately is normal. Also I kept a small human alive for 11 years,” gives me peace of mind that I can do it too, and that I am autistically normal. ❤
Same to all of this!! Every time I see an info source say "... and cause autism!" As a warning, it makes me lose trust in it, which is rampant in crunchy/ granola circles. My sister is trying to help me through pregnancy info from across the country at my behedst and keeps being concerned that I'm "so worried", but I'm not worried, I'm learning, and she is just not grasping that my burning curiosity is not fear.
Before my pregancy my weight was 60 kilo.and 1 week after giving birth my weight was 53 kilo. To give you an idea. I couldnt eat nor drink water and lived on tiny pieces of old cheese. I had no idea what was happening to me (it was pre my ASD diagnose) Giving birth was very traumatic too. Your video was a real eye-opener, glad it went well. Cheers

Lol I swallowed REALLY hard when you said six years ago was a long time since childbirth 🙃. My youngest daughter is 21! My son is 23 and he has a seven month old daughter 😃😂😅😍!! I’m a pregnant grandmother 😂🥰. But this is the biggest miracle I could ever hope for. I did not have a good caregiver and I was sold into human trafficking it has been such a long long road to health and safety, but I am safe and healthy and I have been for 11 years. My husband and I wanted a baby so bad and she is coming 😍🥰😍. It’s just such a different experience I have these beautiful doctors that respect me and care about me, I have a husband that loves me and protects me, I have children that are my everything 🥲 it’s just so crazy how life can change. My attitude is GRATITUDE 🙏🏼. Thank you for sharing your experience 🥰it’s nice to hear how other autistic moms get through the milestones 🥰
Thanks for that video! I already researched a little bit about DID & pregnancy. At the moment we’re short time before IVF. And I’m praying to universe that it works and I get pregnant. Call me crazy but I talk to “unborn souls” and promise that I will do my best for that baby. I can dress 2 babies with the clothes I bought till now. I have clothes for the baby till it might get 906-9 months. We’ve a biiiiig list of what we need for our baby. We have nappies, oils, shower creams, shampoos and other things. We hav a wardrobe, a baby’s changing unit, a prom that can be used from 1st day till a buggy is needed. We have things to play with, 2 jogging pants-like pregnancy trousers, 2 Pullovers for pregnancy and breastfeed, a 🧣 for breastfeeding and a pillow for it. Today we ordered the baby’s bed that is up to 1,40 meter, so it’ll last through childhood, and a traveling bed with a baby’s changing unit on it. We have a blanket for crawling, anti-colic %0-bottles, several binkies and a Birkholz’ box, two things with wiphich you can attach the inky to baby’s clothes, boxes where we can store milk powder when we’re on our way outside, an damp Sterilisation for bottles and binkies, a desk that can grow with the child when it’s older (we take it from a friend who doesn’t need it anymore), toys to improve motoric abilities. I will prepare some cards if I get nonverbal, etc.I’ve only one book, but it describes everything that happens during pregnancy and the first year, a book where we can put photos of every month in and write something about mummy and baby. We got a frame where we can put pictures of baby’s first year in etc. I’ll better stop now. Please keep fingers crossed that I’ll get pregnant and give birth to a child.

Pregnancy hormones were wonderful for me too! I especially liked not experiencing symptoms of IBS during pregnancy. I was generally more relaxed (until the last month) and present.

Very similar to my so far one birthing experience and pregnancy. Add that when I eventually needed induction, there automatically were a few possible dates of birth that were likely because induction takes like 1 to 3 days, and I only felt okay with one of those, so I talked to the professionals about the research so that we could optimize the timing of the birth date. I remember picking up on a vibe that this was a highly unusual conversation for them to have with a pregnant person but I am so thankful the doctor took my seriously and worked with my fixations and synesthesia. And the baby ended up arriving on my preferred date yayyyy. But that feels soooo autistic of me before I knew about it
I was so pleased to find this! We are expecting our first next May and I’ve just started vlogging my own experience as a pregnant woman on the spectrum. I can relate with everything you have shared, especially the research part! Thanks so much for your view on birth plans. I have been trying to keep a similar outlook. To have preferences, but keep in mind something else may need to happen. I am taking some courses for relaxation during pregnancy and birth that I hope will help me cope with any unexpected situations that come up. I’ve subscribed and am looking forward to watching more of your videos!

I also have three kids. Mine are all teens now. 18, 16, 14 (almost) I haven’t watched all your videos yet. Did you get diagnosed as an adult or did you know before having kids? I haven’t been formally diagnosed yet. This is still pretty new to me.
You mention that you are a Christian, would you ever consider doing a faith/autism video if its not too personal? I have recently come to know Jesus and I'm also on the waiting list for an adult Autism assessment and the timing between these two things feels very curious
To be honest I find talking about my faith really hard, not entirely sure why, guess I don't want to make people with different beliefs uncomfortable, and also because it feels very private. I don't think this is an area that I will cover here but happy to chat about it more with you somewhere else.
Totally understandable, sometimes all I want to do is talk about faith (I guess kinda like a special interest) but have learnt from experience that often people can get annoyed etc even when all I intend to do is describe a big part of my life. Thank you for all your videos, they have really helped me learn feel a lot more comfortable about the possibility of being an adult with autism :)
