Thanks for showing us your beautiful new baby. You *never* have to apologize for taking whatever time you need to deal with whatever life throws at you! Here's hoping you feel better every day.
I had been wondering how you were getting along. So glad to know, that despite all, you have a beautiful son and you are experiencing more healthful days.
Yay, you had a baby. For a few reasons I couldn't paint anymore and stopped coming by you channel. Been a few years but I was so sad for you when you couldn't have kids. Today I thought about you and decided to come take a look and what do I see. It actually brought tears to my eyes. So happy for you. Congratulations. He is so beautiful.
Literally screamed when I saw the preview! I am so sorry that this process was so traumatic but I am also so very happy you and baby made it to the other side safe! Congratulations!!!!!
I'm so glad you're both ok. I dealt with pre-e as well, and hEDS and was hospitalized for over 3 weeks before early induction. Thank you for sharing your experience, I hope it helps others to share and speak about these things. Much love-Jenn
I'm so glad you and baby were okay. I had preeclampsia with my oldest, but mine was worst before birth, and thankfully went away after she was born. Take care of yourself above all, and we will be waiting for you when you get back.
Congrats on your baby! It’s hard to know all you have been going through, but very glad you’re enjoying mom time! I’ve been following you since 2020, but just recently started my channel so it’s my first time commenting. You certainly made those years much better for me with your videos! Thank you ❣️
He is gorgeous!!! So sorry you had such a rough and scary road to get baby boy here!!!! I know how long you and Stephan have waited to be parents!! ❤❤❤
I am so sorry you went through this! It sounds like you had quite the journey. Thank you for sharing, and for using your platform to heighten awareness! This is a subject that so many women are not aware of. IVF is not the only risk factor -- there are a lot of contributing factors, particularly the father, and whether anyone carrying his children have had preeclampsia in the past. I had postpartum preeclampsia with both of my boys (although I suspect I had preeclampsia before my first was born -- my symptoms weren't treated then, though). The only reason I am alive is pure luck. I just so happened to be watching Downton Abby for the first time during my postpartum period, and (avoiding spoilers!) one of the characters suffered from preeclampsia. I recognized that I was experiencing the same symptoms. I am very, very lucky to have survived that first round, because it was quite severe -- I was hospitalized for a week and maxed out on meds with lots of organ damage. I caught the second time early enough to not have as severe of an experience, luckily! Sending you lots of well wishes for a peaceful and restful time with your newborn. What a cutie!
Wow! That's sounds crazy! I'm glad that I had a doctor who laid it all out for me before so I knew what to look for. I wish I had caught it sooner - but glad I caught it when I did. And yes I wish more people would talk about this. Glad I can bring some eyes to it now!
Congratulations! He is beautiful, what a blessing! Thank God you knew the signs and got help! Is this the first Grandbaby for both you and your Hubbys parents?
Congratulations and so glad to hear that you are doing alright as well as the little one. I too have been diagnosed with pre-eclampsia but naturally concieved. Hope that I won't have it after birth it definitely is a scary thought.. wishing you all the best!
I went through similar issues with preeclampsia. I showed up for my final growth scan and checkup a week before my due date and my BP was 250/178. I was induced immediately and I ended up having my son in the next 24hrs. I had to stay in the hospital for an additional two days for constant monitoring. I also had nurses calling me for a couple days after we went home to check with me on my symptoms while on BP meds. I was also checked by my son's pediatrician lol! It was terrifying. My blood pressure put my son under so much stress that the umbilical cord was almost completely occluded, reducing blood/nutrient flow to him and the placenta. If I hadn't been induced one or both of us would have died... It was probably the scariest experience I've ever had. I wish someone had told me about the epidural shakes, though. That was just the cherry on top of an absolutely horrifying birth experience. I won't be having any more kids, I can't go through any of that again.
Congrats on the baby! I conceived naturally but she was stubborn so I did have some issues with my c section, including bowel paralysis and a tube up my nose. I will say that I have not been the same physically since then. Curious if you had the flip yet? (If ya know you know, happens after a c section when things inside go back to the right position). A lot of the stuff is scary and un known even when reading everything as a first time mom. That and I think the c section triggered my fibromyalgia, which with back issues has had me not able to work since. He is handsome, and don't forget sleep while they are sleeping if you can.
Yep had the flip a couple of weeks ago. Didnt know that's what it was called but yeah nothing was moving right after the c-section and I could even feel my digestion was completely off. Glad that part is at least over! Sorry your fibromyalgia got triggered. Yeah - my EDS has been acting up recently too - but no where near as bad as before. That was wild - I felt like I couldn't walk or do anything! Glad that is over.
Dear Carrie, your baby so cute, so calm and a survivor. If this is can help you, do you know Dr. Steven Gundry (he have a TH-cam channel, Instagram, Website, Books) and eating no lectin? I don't know if this ca help you and your health for you futur. I hope you have a wonderful week, please take care. Love U and stay strong as much as you can, a day at a time.
You must have really good insurance. I'm not a medical professional, but I don't know why they didn't put you on BP meds and treat you as an outpatient. I understand pre-eclampsia and BP. No need to come for me.
My blood pressure was actually low before giving birth. Doctors were monitoring it closely. It happened suddenly and unexpectedly. That's why I wanted to share my experience - because it snuck up on me.
Thanks for showing us your beautiful new baby. You *never* have to apologize for taking whatever time you need to deal with whatever life throws at you! Here's hoping you feel better every day.

Oh my word yes! The epidural shakes were unreal! I hated them and had absolutely no control over them. UGh they were awful!
Yes! Enjoy the "velcro" years. Commit it to memory.
Will do! 😃

Hormones during pregnancy loosen up ligaments in your body too, preparing for delivery. That probably didn't help. 🤦♀️
