And the pharmaceutical side effects are worse for my body than (controlled) herbs. Mind you i dont find weed addicting at all. If i buy some, I forget i have it the next day. Its not like opiates or benzos wherein Id probably look thru the trash for it if i lost it. So i think theres a balance in what you are using and how it affects you. I dont understand why they havent made an 'antidepressant' extracted from blue lotus. Otherwise i completely agree, it would be great if i could go my entire life just consuming fruits, vegetables, whole grains and be able to meditate without my mind overthinking. I try, dont get me wrong, and ill keep trying, slowly but surely maybe ill get there. 💜

You have to know call them out by name when u wish to connect with them coz not all our Ancestors are good. So u have to be be intentional and state tht u are calling out to the "good" ancestors. it's very important to be specific. Then u introduce yourself as formally as u can (this is when knowing your lineage). U have to treat it like a conversation with a respected parent. So u have to know who u are and your names and your bloodlines before you. So u mention your parents and their parents as far as u can go. Usually 3 gens is good enough. I always worry about Americans of African descent coz the ancestors on your side are lost and traumatized and this does affect what they do for u in your life... Lastly NEVER THANK YOUR ANCESTORS. You close a conversation with them by extending good wishes and gratitude. Not giving thanks. And most importantly you don't stand when addressing ancestors. You always kneel and humble yourself coz as much as ancestors are your guides and protection, they are also very dangerous, impatient at times, possessive and demanding of respect. So don't always assume that they are always going to show u love. No some will even go as far as making sure u are dead before their are finished with u. Such is the anger of Ancestors. I’ve made an altar x2 yesterday & today ! I called upon them my father recently died , so I thought it would be a breeze I left offerings I was respectful and told them everything how I appreciated them I really do but I mainly wanted to talk to my father but nth has happened ! Absolutely nth happened. I put my intentions into it I even started crying I’m just so frustrated I genuinely think they just don’t wanna talk to me. My family is so toxic and it’s like it won’t end so I really wanna speak to them bc I have no one around me I can speak to about anything ,
It’s not easy in the beginning if you’ve never made a connection to the other side before. I wouldn’t say they wouldn’t want to talk to you it just may be hard. When connecting to the other side you have to be in a certain state of mind for a while it gets easier as time goes on but, think of it as being on the same frequency at them like a radio. If you can’t align with that frequency it’s going to be hard to communicate on either side. I find it easiest to connect when I’m in a meditative state/ extremely calm. You have to align your energy with the ancestors you’re trying to connect with. I will also say that it usually takes months for people who’ve never connected before you get a response/connect because we’re not used to being completely immersed in the present and focusing our energy in a particular way. Most of us don’t even realize how powerful we are. It’s much more that goes into it but, it’s too much to type.

Also most teachings about ancestors says to please wait awhile before trying to connect with a recently transitioned loved one. The soonest I have heard recommended is 1 year and 1 day, others say 1 year and 101 days, others say do worry if it takes up to 2-3 years. Once they passover they have to get use to how things work over there. They do want to connect with you if you are willing. So, first relax. It may be easier for then to find you if you go to there scattering site or gravesite. Or if you visit their childhood home or some place the liked or may have a connection too. Talk to them as though they can hear you. Like if someone is in a coma and they can hear you and sense your presence but can't respond yet. Live your life to the fullest and happiest. Let them know what you've been up to and how you feel about work, friends, your play, or hobbies. Talk, song, dance with them about yhings they liked too. Thank them for your own existence and wanting the best for you and for caring about healing any trauma issues related to the family lineage. Focus on learning to meditate to get your own vibrational energy in balance. Because you are drawn to them, it may be that they need your help more then you need theirs at first. So before you can heal the spritual trauma you may need to truly prepare yourself. Preparing may meaning learning more about your linage, and how to work with spritual energy. It is always a good idea to be a little caustious so be specific and invite dialog with only the ancestors that are interested in your well being. This is especially true if some of them were bad characters while living. If you sense a negative prence at any time you can ask them what they want and guide them for healing with love and joy toward the light ( in your mind or on the altar). Wish them well. Most ancestors do have your best interest in mind. When trying to connect, rememer it is a relationship you are building/rebuilding and there is both giving and receiving of guidence and energy. Don't just ask for stuff from them. Ask your ancestors how you can help them. Ask them if there is anything they need. Mostly they may need energy in the form of our attention, small offerings, and/or a common place to gather. They may also want us to heal some current relationship, or warm and protect us from emotional, spiriutial, or even physical harm. Make yourself available on a regular basis at the altar you create for them. Your role is to the listen and stay in tune. One dream I had of him was him on a waterfall happy with 2 husky’s. And we have 1 husky at home. then the last one I had was my dad in his work uniform me hugging him then he slowly disappeared .like pieces of him At a time. Those dreams happened a month or two after. After that it’s been quiet . I think the best way to help remember ancestors and messages that come through your dreams is by having a dream journal. If you can’t remember everything you can always write down what you can remember and a description of how that ancestor looked in the dream but, for this to work you have to do it as soon as you wake up or you may forget.

Offerings are the most easy things to give. Even if you don't talk to them much, bake a double batch. I can be greedy but I have to remember they loved these meals and I find myself cooking more of what they like to eat.

In my home its believed that when your born you have a spiritual protector specifically assigned to you we call them ithonga. So facing east of your bed you light a white 🕯which represents light and all good energy etc.. followed by yellow candle representing female ancestors, blue representing the male side and you finish off with a red candle poked with a tin needle. Make sure you have no shoes on when you pray. Step 1... You invite. Step 2.. You acknowledge their presence with you in that moment. Step 3... You thank them for the Good you request for whatever you require and you request for all that send evil energy your way for that energy to return to them. Step 4.. you close with a prayer to God.. it's best to phahla(connect) between 3am but before 5am in the morning..... I hope this helps you.. also the red candle you pray with it for 4 consecutive days and then melt it into rubble then throw it out.. after ever prayer sessions don't blow your candles out but instead wet you tumb and index finger and use that to switch of the candles...

Oh 100%!!! Or even if you don't know if they'll enjoy it, they will still appreciate the fact that their loved one/family succesor brought them a gift. I found a beautiful but abandoned snail shell the other week and it just drew my attention so hard that I stopped mid-stride to stare for a second before picking it up. I can't say for certain that any of them even cared about things like this when they were alive but I know that it was a beautiful, thoughtful gift from me, and I believe that that's all that matters.
What if you dont know any of your ancestors. I have a strong urge to talk them its almost like they are calling me to get to know me but i dont know them. Only 1 my grandmother because my family was very detached and cold.
You can still have a strong urge to connect with them even when family isn’t close and much isn’t known about your family tree. It’s possible to still to connect although, it may be a tad bit harder. The best way I’ve learned about and connected to ancestors I didn’t know in this lifetime was via dreams. Whether it be a “random” visit or setting the intention to connect with them during dreams.

I don't think what's been happening to me has to do with ancestors and it has more to do with evil spirits but idk, i really need some help or advice. So i sleep in the dark a lot, it's more comfortable and even tho i get scared sometimes by some scary-ish thoughts in my head it's never that bad, but last night i turned off the lights to go to bed it was 12 in the morning (don't know if that info was necessary lol) and i got this feeling...... It was different, it wasn't my mind telling me that there's a ghost under my bed or in my closet like other times it was an overwhelming feeling, and i felt like the feeling was telling me to sleep with the lights on if that makes sense. And I turned the lights on before going to bed and i remember LEAVING it on because i don't usually sleep with the lights on and it was bothering me for awhile and I had to put pillows on my face because the light was bothering me but i eventually fell asleep, (and I didn't even sleep that well either!! my mind was just racing with random thoughts most of the time, which irritated me a bit.....cause i wanna sleep!!😭😭) but when i woke up the lights were off and no-one came into my room cause if they did i would know because my room door can't close and i have to put something in between the door and the wall for it to stay closed and if someone did come in, the thing that i put there would have fallen off but it was still there, in the same position that i left it in........this is the second time this has happened to me and idk if something is taunting me or not.........i'm 16 and am scared lol🙈🙈 idk what to do

Once they passover they have to get use to how things work over there. They do want to connect with you if you are willing. So, first relax. It may be easier for then to find you if you go to there scattering site or gravesite. Or if you visit their childhood home or some place the liked or may have a connection too.
Talk to them as though they can hear you. Like if someone is in a coma and they can hear you and sense your presence but can't respond yet. Live your life to the fullest and happiest. Let them know what you've been up to and how you feel about work, friends, your play, or hobbies. Talk, song, dance with them about yhings they liked too. Thank them for your own existence and wanting the best for you and for caring about healing any trauma issues related to the family lineage. Focus on learning to meditate to get your own vibrational energy in balance. Because you are drawn to them, it may be that they need your help more then you need theirs at first. They may need someone (like you) to repair some deeper spiritual family trauma and guide them so they can find your frequency. So before you can heal the spritual trauma you may need to truly prepare yourself. Preparing may meaning learning more about your linage, and how to work with spritual energy. It is always a good idea to be a little caustious so be specific and invite dialog with only the ancestors that are interested in your well being. This is especially true if some of them were bad characters while living.
If you sense a negative prence at any time you can ask them what they want and guide them for healing with love and joy toward the light ( in your mind or on the altar). Wish them well.
Most ancestors do have your best interest in mind. When trying to connect, rememer it is a relationship you are building/rebuilding and there is both giving and receiving of guidence and energy. Don't just ask for stuff from them. Ask your ancestors how you can help them. Ask them if there is anything they need. Mostly they may need energy in the form of our attention, small offerings, and/or a common place to gather. They may also want us to heal some current relationship, or warm and protect us from emotional, spiriutial, or even physical harm. Make yourself available on a regular basis at the altar you create for them. Your role is to the listen and stay in tune. Ask them the make there presence known to you in a clear way, besides speaking to you directly let them know it's ok to give you a sign: like a dream, goose bumps, candle flickers, etc. Let them know you are listening with more than your ears.
I stared out by learning about and using pendulum energy to connect to to my ancesters. When asking questions start with yes or no questions. You can also ask for confirmation for a clear yes or clear no.
Go with the flow like that until they can come through and repond with fuller dialog.
Dont give up. They are always there. Hoping this is helpful.
Also be mindful that your ancestors may communicate via a dream( in most cases). But be patient and consistent eventually you will get the answers you need and not the ones you request

One dream I had of him was him on a waterfall happy with 2 husky’s. And we have 1 husky at home. then the last one I had was my dad in his work uniform me hugging him then he slowly disappeared .like pieces of him
At a time. Those dreams happened a month or two after. After that it’s been quiet . Seeeing his dead body there caused my spiritual awakening because I realized were more than out human form, but I don’t know how to move forward from here.

I think the best way to help remember ancestors and messages that come through your dreams is by having a dream journal. If you can’t remember everything you can always write down what you can remember and a description of how that ancestor looked in the dream but, for this to work you have to do it as soon as you wake up or you may forget.

You mentioned preparing a plate of food for ancestors. Do expect the food to disappear? Better question does it disappear? Most of my ancestors were deceased by the time that I was born. Offerings are the most easy things to give. Even if you don't talk to them much, bake a double batch. I can be greedy but I have to remember they loved these meals and I find myself cooking more of what they like to eat.

Hi guys, I'm new here and I have been hearing so much about ancestor lately. The thing is that my family is having so many seatbacks and I grew up in a family that these things are evil and that as Christians we should not do such things. But now that I'm all grown up, I feel that its very necessary to know and built a relationship with them. Please can you help me....? In my home its believed that when your born you have a spiritual protector specifically assigned to you we call them ithonga. So facing east of your bed you light a white 🕯which represents light and all good energy etc.. followed by yellow candle representing female ancestors, blue representing the male side and you finish off with a red candle poked with a tin needle. Make sure you have no shoes on when you pray. Step 1... You invite.
Step 2.. You acknowledge their presence with you in that moment. Step 3... You thank them for the Good you request for whatever you require and you request for all that send evil energy your way for that energy to return to them. Step 4.. you close with a prayer to God.. it's best to phahla(connect) between 3am but before 5am in the morning..... I hope this helps you.. also the red candle you pray with it for 4 consecutive days and then melt it into rubble then throw it out.. after ever prayer sessions don't blow your candles out but instead wet you tumb and index finger and use that to switch of the candles...

If I don’t specifically feel drawn to something for an offering (since i haven’t done ancestral work a ton yet) could i buy or prepare things that I know they loved and made when they were alive? Like my great grandma loved making her pound cake, and my grandpa loved his coors light lol.
Oh 100%!!! Or even if you don't know if they'll enjoy it, they will still appreciate the fact that their loved one/family succesor brought them a gift. I found a beautiful but abandoned snail shell the other week and it just drew my attention so hard that I stopped mid-stride to stare for a second before picking it up. I can't say for certain that any of them even cared about things like this when they were alive but I know that it was a beautiful, thoughtful gift from me, and I believe that that's all that matters.

Only 1 my grandmother because my family was very detached and cold.
You can still have a strong urge to connect with them even when family isn’t close and much isn’t known about your family tree. It’s possible to still to connect although, it may be a tad bit harder. The best way I’ve learned about and connected to ancestors I didn’t know in this lifetime was via dreams. Whether it be a “random” visit or setting the intention to connect with them during dreams.

I don't think what's been happening to me has to do with ancestors and it has more to do with evil spirits but idk, i really need some help or advice.
So i sleep in the dark a lot, it's more comfortable and even tho i get scared sometimes by some scary-ish thoughts in my head it's never that bad, but last night i turned off the lights to go to bed it was 12 in the morning (don't know if that info was necessary lol) and i got this feeling...... It was different, it wasn't my mind telling me that there's a ghost under my bed or in my closet like other times it was an overwhelming feeling, and i felt like the feeling was telling me to sleep with the lights on if that makes sense. And I turned the lights on before going to bed and i remember LEAVING it on because i don't usually sleep with the lights on and it was bothering me for awhile and I had to put pillows on my face because the light was bothering me but i eventually fell asleep, (and I didn't even sleep that well either!! my mind was just racing with random thoughts most of the time, which irritated me a bit.....cause i wanna sleep!!😭😭) but when i woke up the lights were off and no-one came into my room cause if they did i would know because my room door can't close and i have to put something in between the door and the wall for it to stay closed and if someone did come in, the thing that i put there would have fallen off but it was still there, in the same position that i left it in........this is the second time this has happened to me and idk if something is taunting me or not.........i'm 16 and am scared lol🙈🙈 idk what to do
