I'm in tears with your answer Josh. From your perspective as a son of a single mom is eye opening and enlightens me for my sons future. My son at one point became suicidal during the pandemic due to many factors and one of those was not having his father. I came face to face with answering hard questions that he needed answered which helped a bit. I had focused so much on what he's missing and didn't stop to think what he does have. I needed this today and everyday. My son is teenager now and has overcome so much in his young life, i can't changed the hand he was dealt but I can do my best everyday.

Officially called it a separation en route to a divorce January 14th, 2024 because he couldn’t understand that parenting alone was a tough job. All while juggling a full time job.It’s taken me a long time to just leave it alone and you’re right. Putting the energy onto my little boys, goes so much further than when I use to basically beg him to put family first. Thank you for your wisdom Josh! I hope that when my boys are older, they see that although I’m not the best mom, I tried my absolute best!!

When I was 23 I was dating a guy who at the time told me he was 28 . He was giving me red flags and I just felt like something was off. Long story short I found out he was actually 36 , married and he had a son!!! Smh he didn’t look his age so I couldn’t tell he was older. 🙄😐
I have 3 kids 2 girls and I’m 38weeks with my first boy but I literally am crying my eyes out with the last question. We don’t get mad for ourselves we get upset because we want our kids to feel like they’re enough. And we don’t feel like we provide enough love because we see how incredible it is to raise our kids that when we see all the things the other parent is missing we just can’t believe it .

But having to make excuses and seeing my daughter sad always broke my heart. Got to the point where my daughter was old enough to understand and I told him I'm not making excuses for you anymore. You tell her why you don't show up. And same with her grandma on his side. I tried and tried, but she never asked about her or to see her. But yet she'd go to TJ for other grandkids. The single parent answer had me in tears!! I was a 16 yr old mom and i had the roughest time even talking about the situation. I wish i had someone tell me the words Josh said when i was going through the toughest time. ❤ it'll all get better god has a plan!
Okay, the last question made me tear up. I am a single mom of a little girl. Her dad is there, but very inconsistently. He has a drug issue and some weeks he’s good, some weeks he’s bad. I really struggle with guilt. Guilt that I didn’t choose right and now she has to suffer the consequences. I find myself overworking myself and trying to think of every possible scenario before it even happens. And hearing Josh say to have grace and focus on just being a mom made me emotional because I wish I could just be mom and worry about mom things instead of trying to pick up his slack too.
The man that can take care of his family comfortably and keep them happy, and gladly still wants to help his family in any way he could, God bless that man 🙏🏼

The single parent answer had me in tears!! I was a 16 yr old mom and i had the roughest time even talking about the situation. I wish i had someone tell me the words Josh said when i was going through the toughest time. ❤ it'll all get better god has a plan!

Okay, the last question made me tear up. I am a single mom of a little girl. Her dad is there, but very inconsistently. He has a drug issue and some weeks he’s good, some weeks he’s bad. I really struggle with guilt. Guilt that I didn’t choose right and now she has to suffer the consequences. I find myself overworking myself and trying to think of every possible scenario before it even happens. And hearing Josh say to have grace and focus on just being a mom made me emotional because I wish I could just be mom and worry about mom things instead of trying to pick up his slack too.
The man that can take care of his family comfortably and keep them happy, and gladly still wants to help his family in any way he could, God bless that man 🙏🏼
