In the past, I have made patterns and clothes for historical recreation. I had covid last year and now struggling with long covid. Brain fog has been a real struggle and I'm trying to teach myself pattern drafting and making clothes again. Thank you for reminding me that I don't have to remember everything! I have Helen Joseph Armstrong's book and Jenny Rushmore's book. Looking into finding a copy of Julie Cole's book. You are both amazing and looking forward to next month's live!
So sorry to hear that you have long covid. That is not fun! I'm so happy you are feeling inspired and have some new resources to check out. Thanks for watching! 💚
Kathleen Spike's book Sew to Success was my bible when I started my custom dressmaking business. The dewey decimal code for costume books is 391. I often raid the library for patterning, design and fashion history as my bookcase is full. The TR Cutting Books are next on my list.
Hey , I am a bespoke tailor and can tell you my actually favourite book and system is red of Guido Hofenbitzer. It brought me to next fitting lever for trousers and everything.
Catching this on the replay as I got my left eye cataract removed today. In regards to fitting I wish they had techniques or tools to help with things such as fitting with a belly, bad knees, bad back, or other physical limitations.
I was looking for links to your favorite books. Don’t see any. It was hard to follow the three way conversation between you & the streaming audience. Please add titles to your description. Thanking you in advance. 😊

I hope you heal quickly with your eye! I think the fitting for real people might have some helpful tips there. 💚
I do love sewing and pattern making books. It’s an addiction
I am same with having a small addiction. I thinks a good kind of addition tho, right!? Lol.💚
