I loved him madly I am so sad that all of our wonderful talented people die between the ages of 57 and 63 it seems like. Living that fun rock and roll life has a price tag. And that's sucks a lot. I lived that life as well and I'm surprised I'm here at almost 60 judging by all of our great rock and rollers that have died in their early fifties late 50s early 60s, I probably got about five good years left in me and I'm going to enjoy it blasting this music in my 1979 Trans Am! Keep pushing on! And if I was diagnosed with the terminal disease I would rob a bank and then drive my Trans Am off the edge of the Cliff of the Grand Canyon with a good friend holding hands! LOL
The bassist for REO always had the ability to throw in lots of impressive licks and noodling while still keeping a killer bottom end groove going. That takes a lot of talent. A lot of "lead bass players" can throw out some really great licks but don't keep the groove going and the bottom drops out. This guy could do both. Nice work.
Bruce Hall has always been an amazing bass player, and he could write and sing songs too. One of my absolute favs from REO. Back on the road again. th-cam.com/video/Q9IW3QRxH24/w-d-xo.html
This and “Roll With The Changes”. I’m 62yrs old….have seen REO ….ok..I can’t remember all the times…but I’m sure it was more than five….less than 15 times…as the song says…”got me through my darkest hours.”
My first date with my wife was front row, center stage, REO concert at Peoria Civic Theater. I've seen them several times and they have never given a bad show or even played a bad note.
Great song based on relationships, but also every day life! Thanks Allan, Gregg, Bruce, Neal, Gary, Kevin and Mike for the music! R.I.P. Gary! You were a one of a kinda number one guitar player, and deserved so much more!
My 1st concert and saw them 8 times then kevin solo at our state fair . In 2010. 1st time prob 1977 im 59 . . In jackson mississippi amen its 4:2o feb 6th 2024 amen !
Keep Pushin' Song by REO Speedwagon I used to be lonely 'til I learned about livin' alone I found other things to keep my mind on And I'm gettin' to know myself a little bit better Whoa-oh, I keep pushin' on I keep pushin' on, yeah Goin' through all the changes I made so many mistakes, oh yes, I did Tryin' to leave behind the heartaches And sometimes I think I was a little bit crazy, oh yeah Whoa-oh, I keep pushin' on Keep pushin', keep pushin' (Keep pushin') keep pushin' on Keep pushin', keep pushin' You know you have got to be so strong (keep pushin') Keep pushin', keep pushin' Well, even if you think, your strength is gone (keep pushin') (Keep pushin', keep pushin') keep pushin' on, yeah Well, it's comin' together, I finally feel like a man, oh yes, I do I never thought that I'd be where I am, oh
I think it was a recorded track with live lead vocals and I think the solo was live, too. But u can hear the overdubbed harmony guitar part on the intro, so I bet it was Don Kirshner or Midnight Special maybe, where that hybrid performance was a thing.
#Gary !! yeah yes Guitar Rock Star...REO....STILL .....keep pushing on....STILL......to this day......8 KIM run today....1010 KM this year....STILL PUSHING ON since 1977........Thanks #REO !!!!
One of the best singers of all time. Unique and recognizable… ❤

When I was a kid it was Jimmy Page and Gary.As I age it’s become Rory Gallagher and Gary.
We all have talents, share yours..❤
And nobody could steal a girl with his guitar like Gary 👍
Abso fkn lutly ..Gary was the riff king of the 70's..no doubt
REO made some of the most uplifting rock songs - ever.
Agreed. This song is currently saving my life.😂

I was a 15 yo teen that year and saw them in concert in Jackson MS. I thought they the greatest thing I’d ever seen or heard. Love me some Gary❤
Such amazing musicianship from all!! They are perfect together
Epic song! This tune is pure magic, from lyrics to melody, for a rock song, it's as good as it gets!
"Its coming together,Keep pushing on"
Killer Bass player here!
kind of an anthem with me. brought me thru some hard times just having it in my head. Probably saved my life. (many decades ago) true.

GARY!!!!!!! you were one of the best!!!!! REO was never the same without you, did love KC's voice back in the day
Neal’s steady, calm look while he is rocking on the keys is awesome. Just pumping out the bars like it is nothing.
My first exposure to REO. I spread the word as fast as I could!
I figured them out in late 73 or 74 and did the very same thing.
Good old days when music is created geniusly
What a great song by REO, recently discovered on my TH-cam music app. I only knew their other commonly played hits, this one blew me away though🤘🏼
Ridin' the Storm Out, and 157 Riverside Avenue...in that order.
Rock and roll!
Keep Pushin'
Song by
REO Speedwagon
I used to be lonely 'til I learned about livin' alone
I found other things to keep my mind on
And I'm gettin' to know myself a little bit better
Whoa-oh, I keep pushin' on
I keep pushin' on, yeah
Goin' through all the changes I made so many mistakes, oh yes, I did
Tryin' to leave behind the heartaches
And sometimes I think I was a little bit crazy, oh yeah
Whoa-oh, I keep pushin' on
Keep pushin', keep pushin'
(Keep pushin') keep pushin' on
Keep pushin', keep pushin'
You know you have got to be so strong (keep pushin')
Keep pushin', keep pushin'
Well, even if you think, your strength is gone (keep pushin')
(Keep pushin', keep pushin') keep pushin' on, yeah
Well, it's comin' together, I finally feel like a man, oh yes, I do
I never thought that I'd be where I am, oh
Fucken right keep pushing…. Bad ass jam
Gran banda
I love this song.
Awesome
These guys were good...esp the guitar playing .1980s best
Wow!!!!!!!!
Never seen this one before. Amazing thanks for sharing.
Heck yes
KC looks like he's channeling Paul Stanley a little bit.
Yeah! That one piece yoga outfit with the bare chest that he used to wear ALL the time. (See the Alive and Alive II album pics)
thats what she told me
Loved Gary!! Kevin why did you stab you half brother in the back!! I refuse to see REO because of this! Rather remember the Great Days with Gary!!
Who dressed Kevin
His gay hairdresser.
@@kevinstaggs5048he was always weird
I'm a little confused. Seems 100% live, except I swear I hear Kevin singing backup vocals in the chorus. Did they add them in post production?
Bruce Hall maybe?
@@alarmfannh Agree! Because when the song actually came out in 76 Gregg was the bass player.

Might be Alan Gratzer, he sang backup vocals on a quite few songs
