i enjoyed this book, and it actually surprised me to see this video, not because i believe this book is absolutely perfect and genius, but because nobody ever talks about it(i’m not on tiktok btw). so i’m genuinely surprised to see a video on it

(Also, I feel like the reason booktok books mesh together is because they’re the same thing over and over. Love triangles, smut, or fae. I’m partially tired of the smut and fae, like… read what you wave read but does anyone on booktok not read smut? idk it just feels like every book recommended on there has smut, and as someone who tries not to read smut, it’s not easy to get book recs from there 😭)

Was the "two separate plot lines that meet in the middle" book Only Revolutions by Mark Z Danielewski? I've had a copy for a few years (since I liked House of Leaves,) but I just couldn't get into it. Interesting idea, but a little "high concept" to me.
