    Beautiful, welcoming place. Thank you to the hummingbirds and the moths and the shade of the trees and the cool mountain air.

    Do you rock the 6qt Instapot because that'swhat you had prior to vanlife, or as a single guy you just do some nuge batch cooking for the week? I figure the smaller pot would work better given space considerations, but I'm just keyboard warrior and you're living the life. Enjoy!

    • @soilliam
      @soilliam  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re right on, I just already had the 6qt pot and didn’t want to buy another. That 3 or 4 quart size looks perfect tho. Thanks for watching✌️

      @@soilliam makes sense. I did five months in the southwest out of my 2016 Toyota RAV 4 hybrid, but I cooked with gas. A little more finicky. Haha. Looking to full-time with my girlfriend in a traditional minivan soon. See you down the road!

    Wondering what your favorite coffee maker is for the road. Tried the portable French press lately and that's not the best.

      tbh I like to just boil water in my camp stove and put coffee grounds straight in these days. They sink to the bottom and that way I dont need an extra appliance

    I think one thing that is severely missing from your videos is a message to your audience

    Another thing that prevents me from doing this lifestyle is that I make money online room at laptop. But while you would think it's an easy way to make money from a car, the issue is finding good connectivity and silence as well as dealing with the typical daily grind above needing to cook poop and find food Which is difficult when you don't have a refrigerator and lots of running water to clean dishes hold stop I guess I could constantly constantly go to supermarkets but that's super Time intensive. I wonder what your typical week looks like with your time, how much of it is going to the grocery store or running errands to prepare for the actual shooting of videos that You do? Also isn't it quite lonely doing what you do? How many people have you met?

    • @soilliam
      @soilliam  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cooking, pooping, and finding food definitely take up more time than they would in house life but I find some joy in those simple problems each day. The typical week is different depending on where I'm at. Some are all work, some are all chores, some are outdoor exploring or meeting up with friends. And to your point it can be lonely at times. While I have met a few people on the road, I try to plan my road trips around seeing friends I haven't seen in a while. I think it's key to prioritize some socializing, but that's true in any lifestyle.

    Good hippie you clean up BF you leave. That coffee needs some work G. The editing was choice, your craft is splendid. Almost made me want to get in my car and go. I'll just block the people that bring the bad spirit around and poof I'm not dealing with evil.

    • @soilliam
      @soilliam  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Much appreciated. Yeah my coffee technique needs some work. & agreed no need to deal with bad spirits

    It takes some serious skill smart and audacity to pull off what you are doing. What kind of camera do you have? Seems like you take long stretches of video? Go pro or camera phone?

    • @soilliam
      @soilliam  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I appreciate that. I mainly use a sony camcorder. They shoot HD, have crazy good zoom, are small/lightweight, and are about $200 new so I don't worry tooo much about breaking it.

    One thing that prevents this lifestyle for me is not having access to the opposite sex. I think once in a while you get lucky and if anything you're Out and about more, so Perhaps that increases your odds of finding somebody. But I think traveling to other countries is way better for finding the opposite sex also I'm trying to support your videos by Commenting a lot

    I'm curious to know how much you actually get to ride because of the high price of gas. Remember you worked for a number of months I guess that's how you're paying for the gas question malso be cool if you have a list of all your stuff for People want to do what you're doing

      I try to travel slow. I've been working on finding a balance of making $ and adventuring--instead of going all in on one or the other
