Amazing that a beautiful setting like that, with such beautiful artwork and woodcarving, is relatively unknown to tourists. I will never become jaded to all the skill and talent that is on display at all the temples throughout Thailand. I think it would take a full lifetime to see a fraction of all the hidden treasures of Thailand, like this place.
That's right mate, people won't even know about this place. It reminded me of a movie set, cut out of the mountain. Amazing place. Like you mentioned, so many more hidden treasures like this in Thailand. Thanks buddy.
World-class brother. It looks like the monastery accommodation is a bit more rugged than some of the one's I've stayed at in Thailand. I'd love to stay up there and meditate for a week or two. The problem is, I'm usually rocking a scooter in CM and I'm guessing I've got no chance making it on those roads haha.
Nice to see folks now getting out of the city limits. Good for everyone. Beautiful place, must be good for clearing the head. I hope you were able to get a few minutes to just sit a meditate. Much appreciated mate that you did this vid. But, keep in mind sometimes it's good to put down the camera or phone and forget about that stuff (I'm sure you know this). Last year on Thanksgiving I was in CM. I did a walk around the city and took some wonderful pics. I then made a photo blog (first time I ever did anything like that). I called it "A feast for the eyes" (which is what CM is. That was exactly one year ago. I miss CM very much, but hope to get back the Spring. Until then I have yours and Bill's vids to help me hold on until I can get back. Thanks to you guys and Buddha for that ! I hope you had a safe drive back home. Thanks again !
Happy you got a few hour's to explore the countryside. Great neighbours, making merit, such a Thai thing to do on a public holiday. Beautiful tranquil Wat
That place is absolutely stunning. So peaceful and scenic. I love places that are right off the beaten track. I totally get why you wanted to be left there :-) I would be exactly the same. Massively enjoyed this vlog and it's another place added to my list for visiting when back in CM. As always thanks so much for all the time and effort you put in to creating and sharing these lovely vlogs with us. Take care and keep shining.
Thank you for taking the time to support the vlogs Monica. This place really is Magical. It felt like i was in the middle of nowhere. I'm really at home in places like this, peace & quiet. Thanks again. 🙏
Thanks for taking us there Wayne. One can get very jaded after seeing one's 20th temple in CM. But this one was something special. And I made a particular note of the nature sounds. Conducive to a good afternoon nap in a hammock.
Thanks Paul, yep most temples are all the same but this one was a special one, the location just gives it that extra sparkle. Nature sounds, cool air and silence. I wish i could have stayed , a nap in a hammock would be bliss here. Thanks.
Good to see you exploring the surrounds of Chiang Mai. Had a friend who took me on numerous day trips from the city a few years back. I think you're right that Wat Luang Khun Win is probably dead on a normal day Wayne. I saw a small black snake being chased down by a couple of birds while I was on a three island tour near Krabi. There was also a snake hanging outside the top floor of the UN/Irish pub a while back. I'm so blind I couldn't see it. lol Hope you get to see more of the beautiful countryside in the future. Paddy fields look amazing during the wet season. Smart move wearing a mask at a crowded wat. Don't want to offend or freak out the locals.
Thanks Wayne! That was very nice & interesting. I have never been up there & will be sure to check it out next time. Your neighbors speak excellent English too! Thanks again!
Wow, Wayne! Thanks for sharing this gorgeous gem. This is the most stunning temple and grounds I've seen yet in Chiang Mai. I don't know how I missed this place, but I'm 100% going to visit this location when I come back. The woodwork just blew my mind. Kinda gave me chills, but in a good way.
heard of this place but never been...i watch the videos on my tv but it's nice to drop a comment to say thanks for the videos mate...mitchell - queensland australia
Wish I was there. Here in Carson City... boom boxes, loud mariachi music, hammering and machines, then the cars and planes. Anyway, on the old Twilight Zone show a 1880s cowboy was transferred to1960. It was the noise that made him crazy. 1960 is like Eden compared to today. Not to mention all the media noise. I may be over sensitive to it, but think it is scrambling our brains. Mine is already. I regret complaining about the 6a.m. loudspeaker announcements in CNX.
WHAT...another "shiny" video from Wayne? Whats next...a motorbike tour to Pai, Hon Son Loop and Change Rai experience...good work though. I enjoyed the change of content 🙂👍
If my vlogs are shiny, other people's must be dazzling 🤣. I'm doing one that nobody's done next mate, how to live in Chiang Mai on $50 a month 🤣 . Thanks man
@@WalkAboutWayne if you count eating roots, leaves and dry grass then drinking from the CM Klong for a tight 50...then you'll kill the stats on TH-cam 😆😅😂✌️
The least Thailand can start doing is issuing 90 day tourist visa if they are serious about reviving the economy and helping the tourism industry that has been decimated. If the government cant learn anything after this pandemic then they are hopeless
It would be good if Thailand did do something like that Neil, i just can't see it happening though. It's all about money here and they will probably put the visa prices up.
@@WalkAboutWayne you are absolutely correct that’s why I love watching your channel you are realistic and you don’t sugar coat anything only the facts.

They are great neighbours Simo. It was nice to get away from noise for a while mate. 👌

Ahhh the peace and quiet and nature and temples too! In the temple, you should have burst into “Jiiiiiiiive talkin’ bam bam bam bam bam” 🤣
🤣🤣🤣 that would have been a good setting for "JIVE TALKING" Rebecca. Daaamn i love that song! I'm sure i'll be singing something again soon 🤣
The beauty catches you more I reckon with the level of peace & quiet - nice of your neighbors - great area 😎👌👍🙏
Stunning location Ant, i could have stayed there easy. No noise and clean (ish) air. My neighbours are great people. Thanks Ant.

It was good to get out the city for a few hours Lars. No noise or traffic, perfect!. Mu neighbours are good people mate.
Wayne, thank you so much for posting this video, it looks an absolutely beautiful, peaceful, calming place. Thank you. Alan and Lillian
Thanks guys! It's a awesome place. No noise, just the sound of nature. Perfect!

I've never been in the jungle. The sound of the night during the day is quite scary. Beautiful vlog Wayne :)
Thanks mate. Yes, the sounds of nature was everywhere, i didn't realise how strong it was until i watched back the footage.

Cheers Mike, the temple is a little gem. The roads are a bit tricky but well worth it. I have good neighbours , good people. Thanks.

Hi Dimitri, this place is well worth checking out mate. It's a bit of a drive on bad roads but the end result makes it all worth while. Thanks.
Love it Wayne. 👍 i could go Clamping there so peaceful. Here Happy Thanksgiving. Thankfull for your video.
It would be amazing for camping Robert, i'm sure there would be a place near by that would allow camping. HAPPY THANKSGIVING mate! 🙏
Thank you for this walk around chiang Mai area :-)
Thank you for watching 🙏
What an amazing setting. Must had been one hell of a project building this. Thanks for sharing. Take it easy Wayne, take it easy 👍
It would make a amazing movie set Lewis, awesome place. Thanks man.
The real Thailand beautiful

Lovely to hear the birds singing in this peaceful area. Thank you so much. Good weekend to you in CM. 👍😊
Thanks Kashif, it was so nice not hearing traffic in the background.
@@WalkAboutWayne Thank you Wayne 👍😊
I miss the traveling vibe !! The jungle seems so peaceful thanks for sharing, anyway it is almost winter now 😙😙
It was very peaceful up here Tabtim, was good to get away from the city for a few hours. Hope you can travel soon :)

It was nice getting away from the noise. I didn't want to leave. Such a simple life up in the mountains. National anthem here 8am every morning .
The speaker was near my room. I almost cut the wire. But didn't want a room in "Hotel Bangkok".
one of your best videos
Cheers Michael ! I enjoyed going to this temple in the mountain. Magical place.
I love that place but it's a heck of a drive up there.
Yeah, I'd definitely be suffering a bad case of car sickness after that kinda ride.
It was a rocky ride Don, i would hate to see it after a big rain storm.
@@WalkAboutWayne There's 2 ways to the Wat, looks like you were on the semi paved one. The other way is almost all off road.
Hi Wayne not so often we get to see you out with a car. Nice to see
Black Beauty felt left out mate 🤣. It did feel strange not having the bike. Thanks Paul.
Amazing temple, amazing vid, amazing mountain views.
Tks Wayne. Have a great weekend.🙏
Thanks mate !
looks AMAZING
Amazing place Lee 👌
Great stuff
🙏🙏🙏
Beautiful place Wayne.. well worth the trip. Would be nice to turn off the technology for a few days and relax in the peacefulness..
That would be a great idea mate. Leave everything behind for a few days. It would do wonders for the mind. Thanks mate.
Nice climb ehh😅, i was there a few weeks ago. Beautiful temple😍
It's a bit of a crazy journey ay mate. Would be a nightmare after some heavy rain.
I did it on my bicycle😅, on the way back there was a car stranded that was overheated. Crazy climb
Man you crazy!!! Fair play for doing that mate, you must do some major Miles! I'm defo not long distance bike fit like that.
I wonder if the monks might have a program where visitors can stay for several days. I've heard of them doing it in Japan.
Yes, i think that is possible in Thailand mate. I've heard people say about it before. 👍
well done Wayne
Thanks Dave 👍

You can feel the peace there Wayne. I'd be running out of sugar a lot at home mate😉Take it easy man😎
🤣🤣 All i would need is 1 shop mate, i could stay there. No traffic, no noise, perfect.
You know you're at a nice peaceful place when nobody is selling wooden frogs, t-shirts, and fake Rolexs at the entrance. Cheers.
🤣 That's true mate, and the sound of no traffic.
