Now I know you also use Sony APSC cameras so I'm really looking forward to a similar video for those. Of course, you could put any of these lenses on a Sony APSC and they should work fine - just the 1.5x factor on the focal length. That would mean with your lens no. 5 you would have a field of view equivalent to a 300mm lens when used on APSC.

Bomb video, forgot the last time I had fun while watching a gear video! Other than that I believe whatever lens you are having fun with is the right one. Sometimes it may be a cheap second hand lens, other times it can be the best of the best. I have had lenses that cover a large focal area but I never really have that much fun using them, I need a bit of a challenge sometimes. For example I took just a wide angle 17-28mm to a client job and came back with some great compositions I had never tried and got great compliments for that. Whatever makes things interesting is the right lens for you. Some of my favorites over the years: Samyang 35mm f1.4, Sony 28mm F, Sony 24mm F1.4 GM, Tamron 28-75mm f2.8, Tamron 15-30 although that one was super duper heavy with a converter.

The 20 mm 1.8 and 85 mm 1.4 are my favorite primes! They are both great for my photo and video work. I remember shooting a wedding and everyone on my team wanted to borrow the 85mm 1.4 because of how sharp it was and the low light capability of it was really good indoors!

I've actually owned it, but I've sold it since I wasn't using it, and honestly I sometimes miss it. It's a great lens, and the focal length is nice. When you have the 24-70 then when it come to vlogging the 24 is a bit to tight. Where 20 is just perfect. I also liked it much more for video , rather than photo. But in the end of the day I wasn't using it enough to justify having it.

9:56 My country use metric system but to be honest, it's easy to use metric for weight but not for distance or length. For example, I can easily tell if something is 'almost a kilogram' but it's actually hard to tell if something is '45cm from me'. Will be easier to say, 'something is 2 feet from me'.

great video, with true reviews instead of hyping up a product without giving it a run for it's caveats. But you pointed out these are "affordable", well none of them seems very affordable if anything unless you're talking to someone whose three month income is enough to bank them a 600mm f4 lens without going broke.
My future plans are just keeping the Minolta 50mm 1.7 and Minolta 1.4 85mmG because they have crazy micro contrast and 3d pop (common with DSLR lenses, since they're further away the light of far away out of focus is dimmer by default, inverse square root related) and get a Sigma 24-70 f2.8 II, a 70-200 from sigma too (the one that looks like a GM II) and a Sony 200-600.
Of all these three I plan about, the Sigma 70-200 seems to be the most affordable one, it is better built than the GM ii and costs 1000 bucks less while delivering the same performance, other than limiting to 15fps if you're using an A9/A1 family which, all things considered, nobody who uses an A9 or an A1 will use third party lenses.

@@thaticelandicguy I video/ photo interiors building products people you name it. I used to travel with lots of primes, but wanted to be able to work faster, instead of continually changing lenses, so this range is the only one that would do all that work.
Nearly all my work is now social media and almost all is wanted vertical so this lens works for this very well

You know it's funny, as an American I've always been so used to lenses and cameras measured in grams that lbs has no meaning to me in the context of camera gear. I'll have to sit there and think for a second if I hear a lens weighs 0.66 lbs, but if I hear it weighs 300 grams then I immediately know just how light it will be on my camera.

Great video but sorry to disagree, I have had 2 sony lenses including the 85mm sigma lens and they dont compare to the Sony 85mm GMii etc...... I personally wont buy anything other than GM lenses worth the extra money in my opinion.
