Some examples of the use of amateur radio can be seen in episodes: 114 - "Odd Couple Out" - Mike is finishing a QSO with N6QJ at the start of a scene. 217 - "The Fight" - Mandy (KF0XIE) uses her fathers radio to talk to Kyle (KD0XCS) and Ed (KB0ASQ). 309 - "Thanksgiving" - Mike sneaks into the basement to talk about a football game on the radio. 713 - Mike is finishing a QSO with AA6RA at the start of a scene. Episodes of "Last Man Standing" can be sceen in syndication all over the country. LMS returns for season 8 in January of 2020 on Thursday nights at 8PM/7PM Central on the Fox Network. The character he's playing, "Mike Baxter," is obviously higher up than a Tech. Just because the actor is "only a tech," doesn't mean the character couldn't be a General or even Extra. It WAS a TV show, after all.
Sorry you didn't enjoy the good humor in the show. It was not about amateur radio. Only that the main character was an amateur radio op. His shack was seen in many episodes.
