- Hamilton’s average Chinese Grand Prix has become the norm for Mercedes, but it seems like the blows keep coming one after the other with the seven-time world champion reaching yet another low with the team that helped him win six titles in a row. However, not all is his fault as Mercedes have many problems, and Hamilton can’t do much on his own when he has a machine like the W15. How can Mercedes salvage this season and will there be at least one sun ray in this season for the Brackley based squad?

Its almost like the car is more important than the driver, which everyone was telling me wasn't the case during Hamilton's 10 years of dominance.
well, it has always been the car atleast the last 20-25 years in F1.
That encompasses everyone that has won including the present reigning champion.
The car gives you the platform and the drivers give you the edge in milliseconds.
Put Lewis or Alonso in Max's car, they will dominate.
Put Max in Lewis car those years, he would dominate.

Car is good in practice and sprint. Hamilton - car is bad, change. They change the car and it gets a lot worse. Hamilton - Pikachu surprise face. Almost every single race... He does not know how to setup a car, only a car that has such a wide setup windows when it is a lot better then every other single car in the race. Mediocre performance these last few years.
Russell can't get the car working either.
A new drama soap series coming to F1 in 2025… Hamster has to fit into Ferraris structure and not the other way round and the greats before him struggled with exception to Schumacher and Raikonen, so far in all Hamsters racing years, he has had his way but Le Clerc is the golden child of Ferrari regardless of Freddy running the show… no one is bigger than Ferrari other than itself…
With Lewis Hamilton on the way out announcing so soon before the season something is clearly breaking down between Wolf and Hamilton! Clearly there is bad blood and untrust and I would not put it passed Wolf to put everything into George’s car and and Hamilton would get the bare minimum!
The announcement of Lewis leaving was a huge mistake to make it public but I think Lewis wants everyone on the same page!
If I was in charge of the Mercedes Team I would have lugged in the reserve driver and sit Hamilton out!
A: he is going to a direct competitor, B: I would want to lick him out of all information on future Seasons! C: it would kill the drama of all these questions about Hamilton, Ferrari and the going staying, car comparing, because that is going to be the headline for every press event for Mercedes, or Hamilton Wolf or. George!

Looking at results within the team and Hamiltons own comments, the problem is Hamilton. George is performing better overall. Hamilton got second during sprint so the car is able. So that leaves Hamilton as the compromising factor.

The wet conditions equalised all performance from all cars. It was Hamilton's wet weather skills that got him 2nd place.
@@212MPH Explain how Perez could not get around him if the Red Bull is so much better of a car. Last time I checked, the Sprint race was entirely run in the dry.

Hamilton's definitely the one tanking the team. Both Mercs in the top 5 during every practice in Japan, showing they aren't far off. P2 in the Sprint finishing ahead of Perez shows the car operates just fine and there are no major problems. Hamilton tanks qualifying and finishes 9th in the race, again showing the car works well enough when you drive it. The excuses are old and lame. Russell seems permanently attached to 7th place, whether it's qualifying or race results, showing the car is very consistent at least.

AT present they are going to do very for Lewis because they are not going to want to see him go to Ferrari on a high and George has to beat him this season to prove he is the No1 driver so are they going to let Lewis beat him NO WAY!

Why you think Lewis signed for ferrari. He made 10 places on Sunday with some good overtakes. And if Alonso wasn't on the medium tyres it would of been 6 and 7th. With Russel not making any progress
I think Lewis signed because he doesn't see fault with himself. Thinks its all the car while being outperformed by George. Wait till he gets to Ferrari, will be a big dissapointment. I am betting on Charles outperforming Lewis the whole time.
@@Ivovify maybe but still be a head of the merc but Charles only been in front of Carlos once this year. They is alsorts of arguments and Russel going to get everything this year because Lewis is leaving. Still finished 2nd in the sprint though. He has lost faith with Mercedes that's a simple fact

Hamilton is a problem - Russell has been out racing Hamilton a lot which confirms it's NOT 100% the car. Hamilton has gotten arrogant and when he doesn't get his way his temper tantrum is driving like a little old gramma. He's lost his edge.
