I was a WoW subscriber for almost seven years. Even to this day, I reminisce about the amazing people I've known, how vast and magnificently mysterious everything felt, and how wildly and refreshingly different Warcraft was from the world I temporarily wanted to escape from. It is truly remarkable how impossibly immersive your creation was (and still is). A world I never thought I'd come to intimately know, gracefully flourished into one of the best experiences of my life.

This video is just a giant frustrating reminder that I failed at life just by not working at Blizzard. I'm a copywriter in creative advertisement, I love my job, but I would quit on the spot to write for Blizzard.
Apply... there is a Copywriter position. Then you can't say you never tried.
Absolutely nothing is stopping you except yourself. As long as it may take, anyone could gain the skills to work there. Apply and see what happens. If you don't get it, try again with the knowledge you gained. I want to to the same. It would be a dream job to one day work for the company that has enriched my life so much. Good luck!

I love how they put basically a job flyer on TH-cam, this is why blizzard is amazing
I wish the jobs shown did not have such heavy requirements; which I understand why it's there because quality comes first, but because you have people like myself, the average joe, who are willing to learn how to do the jobs while doing the job. I have always been a fan of jobs offering training to help people who don't have that much experience ( or who cannot afford to go to an expensive school to get a certain degree ) to help people who couldn't get a high quality get a high quality job. Working on a Design team for Hearthstone, for example, would be something I would love to contribute to. Sadly, it's very likely that people like myself who cannot get the money to get the educational requirements cannot get the job he would love to work for. I guess that's just the way the world works.
Regardless, keep up the good work. You guys have a great team, in all of your departments, and I look forward to seeing what's in store for the future.

A lot of game development jobs can really be learnt online, whether its coding, learning how to draw art, sound design, whatever. If you show your passion by seeking out the information yourself and developing your own skills in a particular area you want to work in then you will have built up a portfolio that you can show to any gaming company. You might not quite get to blizzard right off the bat, but theres nothing wrong with starting out in another gaming company to get the experience theyre looking for.
Hard work has gotten me to where I am, and hard work is what it takes to get into any highly competitive industry. How is my advice a fairy tale? Also you seem to have the spare time to write your comment but couldn't use that time to actually explore your passion, just to send an angry post on the internet. lol.

Look at getting scholarships, there are tons of money out there for students and returning students. So much of it goes unclaimed. Work hard and you'll get somewhere. Having a I can't do it attitude you already have failed.

I'll stick to leaving feedback on your forums like I have for the past 12 or so years.
I've tried improving myself to the level that I could work at Blizzard, but that's behind me now. Your games, however, are not.
Just show D3 some attention, would ya? Last two seasons I tried, I quit before reaching paragon levels. I've completed two season journeys fully in the past, but I feel the lack of actual risk or challenge outside Greater Rifts hollowed the game out for me slowly but surely. I used to love it, but now can barely play it for more than 3-5 minutes.
I've left tons of suggestions on the D3 forums in the past, so I'll spare this nice video of further rambling.

Regarding Starcraft Remastered: Will the campaign AI be enhnanced ie choose between normal, difficult, brutal or will it remain the same (us knowing where the scripted campaign ai is going to attack next and with what units)?

You should really try to create a real development recrutement point in europe (outside of paris / london center would gave you even more and you would be able to create another campus so people feels great), you are missing so much talents that would love to work with you but have to leave families and must sell everything to go to the states which is frightening. Also do you have any husband/wife care ? because leaving them isn't an option for many and going to another coutry without knowing if your significant other will find a job is a lot of case where oversea recruitement is a fail.
Now with good team management and equipement (cisco DX for example) it is easy to work as a team without being physically at the same place. Sure time management is somewhat harder when people are working around the clock on the same project but it feels great.
I'm working with poland, canada, singapour everyday, we salute our teams members everyday on the conference and we feel like a team.
You should really try to have another campus (maybe in asia) that is working on the same creative projects outside of california (because your oversea recruitments aren't for creative.
Also, seeing that you deported your shop to a third party, why not do it in europe too ? i'm sure a lot of passionate people want to do it with you on this side of the sea.

You should open a site in / near Oxford. It would gain good traction and employment, as well as being able to hire new graduates from all of the brilliant technology and design colleges & unis nearby. (PS. Also I want to work at blizzard and there aren't any branches in my area 😔)

All positions in California pretty much, I would love to be a part of the Warcraft story writing team though. Legion is amazing, especially compared to what WoW had previously with stroy writing and I would love to be a part of keeping that story amazing. Wish there were some off location jobs.

And, then there is Diablo, that they almost have abandoned. Like a child that they don't know what do with it. Especially with their silence in communication regarding changes on PTR (last 3 small changes not even PTR patch notes, and there have been changes).
Don't get me wrong, I love D3, but compared to the support WoW, Hearthstone and Overwatch get, it really looks like being the foster child. Can it turn to Cinderella????
Agree. The game's got a wonderful combat mechanic but the game is still playing catch up to where it ought to have been a few years ago.
The QoL changes in the next patch will be nice but when we're playing the same end game builds over and over again in the same game environment after 4 or 5 seasons now, it's getting pretty dull.
