Yup ! Got mine same as this and 2 months it starts leaking and when I got it fixed the red thing broke , now got it modified and works totally perfect now.
Great video. At times I had to repeat in order to see the parts more clearly as you presented each step. My bottom question would only be what do I really need to make overall improvement, and you answered it by giving options.

You should do what works best for your situation. Most things I'm plugging in are male so having a female quick connect on the tank works best for me. And my compressor line is female, so the double male quick fill adaptor works best for filling my portable tank.
@@ScubaMoto no, that's not what I meant. I have a female coupler that already has the male end(the threaded part to screw in)...couldn't I just use that and screw the female quick connect coupler into the tank?
Right, got it. I thought you meant the quick fill adaptor itself. The quick connect kits vary. Some have the male thread built on, others don't. Yes, that would save you a step to not need a coupler if you've already got one attached to the quick connect. The kit I had on hand didn't have one like that but I see they are readily available. About 6 months after I made this video, the valve that came with this tank failed. I produced a follow-up video on also replacing that valve with an improvement that has a metal knob. They're only about ten bucks. So I highly recommend watching that process and including the improved valve replacement in any build of a tank setup. The link to that video is at the top of this video description. As for build kits, I try to find vendors with high ratings and kits that appear to be a good value. Always read and consider negative reviews. People do different things with these tanks so just be sure you're seeing what you'll need in any kit. I hope that helps and thanks for the question.
Thank you. I'm glad you liked the video. The filler that comes on the hose is just crimped on, it won't thread off, so there is no way to thread a quick-release to the other end of the hose. If you like the hose that comes with it, AND you want to connect fittings to fill through it, you would have to come up with a shrader fitting for your compressor that you can hold the hose filler onto. Plus the filler head on the hose cannot lock onto a shrader valve so you would have to hold the hose fitting against your air source (compressor) shrader fitting during the entire fill process because the one on the hose has no lock to hold it onto the shrader. You could just cut off the fitting that comes with the hose and use a hose clamp to put a threaded coupling onto the hose and then thread a quick connect to that. But a portable tank gets moved around alot so a quick connect dangling from the hose might not be practical in many cases. Everyone has different preferences. As shown in the video I tossed the hose that came with it immediately in favor of a filler with a fill trigger, a pressure gauge and a filler lock that holds it on the tire valve while filling. I hope that helps.
My red dial shutoff just spins. Fortunately it's stuck in open position. I think I can add a shutoff onto the quick fill adapter and still be in business. What do you think?
Proud Pennsylvanian: Yeah, the valves that come with these are not the best. The red plastic knob on mine eventually cracked and started doing the same thing as yours so I stuck a zip-tie around where it's on the valve stem. That fixed it for a few months. You could add a different ball valve but I prefer the compactness of these combo valves so I replaced it with a better one as I show in a separate video bit.ly/3QeRbAn . The replacement valve has better valve seals and a more durable metal knob to control the valve. You can get replacement valves for about ten bucks at local auto parts stores but they might also have plastic knobs. I've got the replacement valve I used with a metal knob linked in the video description of this and the other video. Thanks for the question. I hope that helps.

Question for you. Could you use a male style quick connect couple for the tank instead of having to buy a double ended piece to go in the tank?
