    I was trying to get a large bearing off a front fork of a zero turn. Tried everything. Hear, air hammer, sledge hammer, crow bar, foul language. Nothing would make it move at all. Bought this bearing puller from HF and it pulled it right off. I have a really strong 1/2” air impact. Walked that bearing right off no problem.

    We are bearing puller manufacturer in China and focus on export wholesale. I think this video is very good! It teach many people how to use bearing puller. 👍👍

    Amazing that you did that with an adjustable wrench. You're skillful.

    Next time just readjust your splitter once you create enough clearance to fully seat it under the bearing race.

    Impact Wrench makes turning quicker. Especially if you have a lot of travel on a shaft. Agree, great tool.

    How do you get the bearing back on? I have got a similar issue... I need to pull a bearing off my steering column, but I am unsure how to get it back on again... Just hammer it?? :)

    Will this remove races off a hollow shaft? ie. The inner race of a wheel bearing off a FWD hub?

    • @JohnVHLife
      @JohnVHLife  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you use something on the end of the tube for the puller to push on

    • @JToona
      @JToona 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s what I figured. I should have a piece of scrap metal laying around to bear on while I pull off the race. Just picked up this and the FWD bearing adapters. Gotta replace bearings on my Focus tomorrow.

      Serge Shariy the bolts? How so? You mean the hub shaft was too long for you to reach the splitter? What type of vehicle was this?

    Thanks for sharing. I just wish they put the bearing diameter capacity on their website. I have a large bearing on a 2.75" shaft and the outer diameter of the cone is 4" I doubt that the larger one will open up that far. Yes I know it will split in half but will the bolts be long enough to catch the nut threads. I think I will buy the OTC one as that shows the capacity specs. I want to save the cone ($70) which is in great shape to replace a seal behind it, not wreck it. If I need to remove a bearing to replace it because it's shot I will either torch it off or cut a slit in it and chisel it to get it to move. I think I will get this set anyway to have around.

      @@JohnVHLife I actually think it could but probably won't fit inside a small space.
      There is a different type of 5 price puller at h.f. for just that application.
      But it will work for a center link, or pitman arms, or a idler arm.

    There's a new invention out called a ratchet wrench that uses the appropriate sized "socket" that fits the nut or in this case, the bearing puller. No need for that adjustable wrench......…….sweet Jesus Dude.
