Styles make fights. Usyk doesn’t match up against Tyson well. If Tyson shows up in shape - and with him that’s always an “if” - I think he beats usyk by a comfortable decision, maybe knocking him down in the process.
If aj and Tyson were to fight after the usyk fight, I’d lean AJ, but that’s besides the point. AJ beating a battle-worn, yoyo weight Tyson isn’t nearly as impactful as if the two met back in 2016. I wanted THAT version of Tyson to fight THAT version of AJ. We are living in a weak HW era but that fight would have been a classic.

People don't like to stay cold and quietly analyze that fight, Fury has a big strategy to win, and it is to rest his body over his opponent and then tire him out and then take advantage after round 6 or 8, depending how the fight plays out. Guys like Ngannou or AJ are too big and muscular and strong to be caught by him in this strategy and usually push him back, it worked with wilder because wilder asides being tall he is way too slim/lighter, plus he didn't only have to rely on this technique he landed 2.5x more punches than him through the fight, so he outboxed him because Wilder has no defense, he depends solely on ending the match quickly by knockout or ends up suffering in the later rounds, regardless of the opponent.. Fury is not the fighter that has the power to knock out someone within the first 3 rounds.. unless it would be someone of very low level, not the top 20-30 guys. Fury could lost with both Usyk and AJ, Usyk level seems steady, AJ on the rise and Fury on steady decline, only covered up by fighting bums like Whyte, Chisora and someone who didnt even have boxing experience.

This is a pretty big myth. I’ll elaborate bc I HATE when ppl say that stuff and don’t put their money where their mouth is. Atleast you can disagree with logic this way I lay out. The reason all this matters is bc when you consider the rate at which they actually finished their fights vs relative performance in common opponents, this makes the reverse point you’re making.
Oscar they fought at entirely different weight classes. Oscar hadn’t been there in nearly a decade.
Re: shane, they both won the same amount of rounds unanimously. Shane found more success later vs manny whereas Shane was better early vs Floyd but Floyd swept 3-12.
Ricky was made to order vs manny. An inside brawler was doomed against him. But it just be said that was teetering on his physical prime atleast vs Floyd with a combined perfect record at the time 81-0. 2 years on manny impressive laid Ricky out Cold - can’t take away from this feat but the fact that Floyd isn’t known for flatlining ppl and still dominated, cut him, then sparked him bring this closer to parity.
Marquez same story as Ricky except reverse. JMM was made to order vs Floyd. He won every second of the fight easily. They could fight 10x wouldn’t have mattered just IMO. So his win over JMM is more impressive than the performance gap seen of the pair vs a common Ricky.
Cotto is probably the one there’s no explanation as far as I can see. That’s the only fight manny was out of mind great - nothing new but idk of many on the planet that could compete that night. Great performance. Floyd pieced up Miguel comfortably but nothing like manny that’s for sure.
Point is, all things considered Floyd’s performance vs common fighters was a wash. Floyd still dominated those fights that manny finished ppl in. Aside from some stylistic glaring advantages by both. But again they wash (Ricky and JMM) with cotto being the wild card. Tyson has not dominated in common opponents in this analogy. Not even close and that’s objectively true. But who is Tyson’s cotto? Literally they don’t have that hence why this proves the reverse point: AJs string of performances, if we use boxing maths which despite what ppl claim always works when you correctly caveat, would validate his form is too much for Tyson as it stands pre - Usyk. That can change with Usyk. Interestingly, that could very well be Tyson’s cotto honestly. I don’t even think this is the best benchmark without appropriate caveating as mentioned but if fury loses to Usyk , I bet you’re not so confident. Which would prove my point. Usyk is the stylistic clash that helps round all this out whereas currently we don’t have enough data but those 5 common fights between manny and Floyd had the full range making it a better case study.

Tyson Fury being this GREAT boxer is an absolute manufactured long hype built on the win versus Wladimir Klitschko, and later the win(s) over Wilder.
Klitschko W' was a snooze fest where Fury just did land 1-2 punches more then Wladimir each round and then was afraid of Wladimir's strenght and power to engage in any action. Fury completely ran from his obligated rematch with a repetitive list of excuses - instead partying, drinking and eating like no tomorrow. And sure Fury defeated Deontay Wilder, the one trick pony who only has his demolishion right hand and nothing else, who cherry picked all his title defences with NO mandatories. Joseph Parker boxed how any decent HW boxer contender can do to take away Wilder's ability to punch. Wilder KO's slow and stand-still boxers not real boxers who can move, throw different punches and are not 41+ years old men over the hill.
Not only are Tyson Fury's boxing skills nothing special in boxing, he would never have been a champion if he was a avarage sized heavyweight that could
not lean on all his opponents and use his size to lock- and punch. He has no hand-speed to talk about, no real punch-power that is not backed on his massive weight and have no guard to bragg about. Tyson Fury has heart to get up from knock-downs, that can't be taken away but thats about it.

However, against Ngannou he arrived at a cardiac testing 277lbs with a spare tyre. What training camp sees a fighter arrive looking like he's a champion kebab killer? The expedient point is that Fury has not fought a mandatory contender or 'top 10' fighter since April 2022, when he took on Whyte. Two years ticking by, while he chose to fight 19th ranked Chisora ahead of the 17 high risk opponents waiting in the queue. Further degradation to the WBC belt occurred when he chose to fight the inexperienced Ngannou as a 10 round money spinner. This was instead of defending his belt against the likes of Usyk, Joshua, Parker, Hunter, Zhang, Hrgovic, Joyce, Ajagba, Sanchez, Kabayel, or the other ten guys he's never fought, while he claims he's 'the greatest heavyweight who's ever lived'. By comparison, Lennox Lewis fought 22 dangerous, world rated power punchers in a row from tough British champion Gary Mason onwards. Lewis took on noted KO artists like Ruddock, Tyrell Biggs, Tucker, Bruno, McCall, Morrison, Mercer, Golota, Shannon Briggs, Holyfield, Grant, Tua, Rahman, Tyson and Vitali Klitshko as an undisputed, three time world heavyweight champion. The understated Lewis never claimed anything, but fought all comers, win, draw or lose.
Love this channel. Is this fight really going to happen? I always thought Joshua was a good boxer and I never expected Tyson to beat Wilder. I just don’t know that Tyson beats Joshua. I was seeing polls with 80% Ngannou wins over Joshua just because of what he did with Fury.
We all know Fury wasn't serious in that fight. Then AJ knocks him out in 2 and people are going crazy that he is gonna beat Fury.
I've always been rooting for Joshua, but people are getting too caught up in recency bias.

Style makes fights. It’s a huge advantage that AJ has Ben in his corner when he fights Tyson. Ben knows his vulnerabilities better than anyone. On the other hand, I think Tyson’s jab will be a huge problem for AJ. Watch the Helenius fight, AJ gets hesitant when he gets hit by the Jab. He won’t be landing this clean right hands on Fury as well. It’s very interesting.

I know a lot of people favour AJ to beat Fury after his recent win over Ngannou. However, they are forgetting AJ's two loses against Usyk, the boxer. I'd suggest if Fury is on his toes and boxes how he can he could win on points, however if he's careless the big man AJ will put his on his ass and he's not getting up again. If the fight goes to the latter rounds, AJ could gas out. So, i thinks its a 50 / 50 fight.

I think Motovedia accidentally released this video 12 months too early because it's been _confirmed_ Usyk Vs. Fury has a _Rematch_ _Clause_ so "AJ Vs Fury" fight _might_ _not_ happen til *2025* or maybe _not_ even happen at all... Especially with Fury's track record of postponing, lack of preparation and delaying of fights
Usyk will keep fighting so long as Ukraine is at war, but otherwise if he beats Fury he doesn't have to do crap, he can just head off into the sunset with nothing left to prove.
