You can actually get the pterandon in the first world. I distinctly remember doing that as a kid. But, I could be mistaking this for the second Game Boy Adventure Island game (were they identical?) I believe it was hidden behind a secret bonus key. Having the pterandon made several stages in the first world trivial.
so I guess this is it for my adventure island games I needed to see in this series! I never got around to the other ones beyond the first, but it feels like I may have missed out.
It's insane that we're this late into the famicom's retail release lifespan, and there's still yet another Takahashi Meijin coming up. It's even more hard to believe that in the 72-Pin world, there's still another 9 more titles after that! - Mario's Time Machine - Incredible Crash Test Dummies - Flintstones: Dinosaur Peak - Jungle Book - Wario's Woods - Aladdin (PAL Exclusive) - Beauty & The Beast (PAL Exclusive) - Lion King (PAL Exclusive) - Smurfs (PAL Exclusive) In the USA, Tecmo and Hi-Tech Expressions would reprint old games like Super Jeopardy, Ninja Gaiden III, Tecmo Bowl, and Tecmo Super Bowl up until 1995. Yet even more weirder, is The Smurfs, and Asterix in PAL regions was reprinted by Infogrammes all the way up into late 1996.
Here is an essay question: The Super Famicom / Super Nintendo Entertainment System was released at November 1, 1990 and yet the Famicom / Nintendo Entertainment System was still going on until 1994. What does this show you about them ❓❓❓ Answer: This shows that both consoles were very really super duper powerful gaming consoles that shaped gaming the way that video games could be played anywhere ❗️
I always thought what held back the level designs in this and Meijin II was the fact that the timer pressed you forward so much that you couldn't stop to appreciate them, yet it's not quite as frantic as the first game which is practically an endless runner half the time.
Haha! I was just about to ask if you liked 3 better than 4...then I saw you answered that on the end title card 😂😂 & Super Adventure Island II is awesome!!
Really, who cares if this is the same game each time? This is a series where I didn't mind getting "more of the same." This is one of the best "get to the end of the stage" game series. See you later, Takashi Meijin... at... THE END!
Takahashi Meijin's game looks good, especially 2 and 3 on the Famicom as they are big improvement from the first one (a really tough one, back in the day no one in Vietnam were known to have beaten this), 4 is slightly worse but still a good end to the platform, but to be honest those were not the best platformer Hudson ever made. Yes, it turns out I liked Doremi Fantasy on Super Famicom more than the Takahashi Meijin's games.
Is it better than the 2nd game? Hard to tell, really; maybe just a bit. But yeah, sometimes there's no point changing something that works. This is one of those cases. It's still as fun to play as the previous one, and it's always good to have more of the same if it's a quality game!
The redesigned sprites are much cleaner so yea, it’s better. Ofc is subjective and will depend on the observer. Así this one include more hidden stages and alternate routes, plus more variation on stages. You already said “there’s no point on fixing what’s not broke” that’s why they kept Takahashi and the dinosaur sprites and the overall gameplay.
Long time no see, master Higgins 😊 For me Takahashi Meijin no Bouken Jima could be a best Famicom quadrology (Dragon Quest wasn't very good with the first two games)
If only more Famicom games took this approach to background tile limitations. Who needs realism, when realism just calls your attention to what the graphics are missing? Also, it must be weird as Hell to be represented in a game where you die unless you're always eating. And is that an imaginary girlfriend, or a real person getting to live the dream of "kidnap victim"? I love this game, but it only makes sense as a Wonderboy spin-off on autopilot.
This is a jam packed platformer. I'm quite impressed with everything they have in here. Gameplay looks fun!

The "fairies" that grant invincibility are called honey girls. They're bees. Good ol' Hudson Soft.

And of those 9, Japan only got Wario's Woods!

Hey RND ❗️What you should do to celebrate the end of Famidaily is
To go on a vacation to Japan ❗️It is very beautiful there all year round ❗️😊
Except on summer. Summer is hell!
@@dieinfire920 Yeah but many tourists still visit
It means Master Takahashi's Adventure Island
