Truly amazing times.....I was 12 growing up and from Bray Co Wicklow during the summer of 1990 and I remember the atmosphere so well. Jezz at 45 now I bet the adults at the time loved the buzz in the bars and pubs.
Jack Charlton will always be remembered as Ireland’s greatest manager!?! I’ll never actually forget the 1990 World Cup!?! The first time we ever qualified for a World Cup and we managed to get to the quarterfinals!?! Legend!?!
Reanimated_Dead_Flesh well ya see I suffered a massive brain hemorrhage around 6 years ago and this is one of the lasting effects!?! And I’ve acquired the skill of bagging 4 screws into a bag and then getting two buses back to my dads gaff!?! Yup that’s why I repeated the leaving cert and went to university for all those years ya know!?!!
Reanimated_Dead_Flesh well ya see I suffered a ruptured aneurysm around 6 years ago and this one of the lasting effects from it!?! But the only positive out of my massive brain hemorrhage is that I don’t smoke tobacco anymore!?!
Lovely tribute from one legend to another. Cheers Mick. Keep the Ireland job in mind for stint number 3! You dont get a fraction of the credit you deserve. RIP Big Jack ☘
Apparently they used to play cards and dominos together in a pub called the Red Lion in Worsborough in Barnsley, both lived in the area back when Jack managed Sheff Wed and Mick was starting his career at Barnsley.
What a legend even now he should be given a Knighthood! I hope bobby shed some tears for his brother only told it how it was! R I P Jackie I'll certainly never forget you
@@James-b7p2k he certainly was James personally bloody disgusting not going to his brother funeral shocking Jack I loved dearly a man’s man with personality I sadly saw the decline in Jack at the end and shed a few tears for a big hero which he was 🙏🙏

There is nobody in Ireland's long history (2000 plus years) who has been more loved than Jack Charlton.
Such a wonderful insight of a great man! A lovely tribute from a man who doesn’t exaggerate and like Big Jack down to earth!
!

Two rugged big Yorkshire men who became Irish icons ☘️
@@charlesdoherty9879 Jack was from the North East, not Yorkshire.
Neutral Observer. Oh yeah , your correct, my mistake, a mans man tho , both of them
Well said Mick. 😥😥😥😥
Always liked Mick McCarty and Big Jack
Big Jack is the greatest manager we've had. This isn't the time or place to discuss that other bloke. RIP Jack. Erin Go Bragh.
Saying that Jack is the greatest manager we've ever had is like saying Amazon is a recognized company.

Might have been different if Dave O’Leary have cancelled his holiday and travelled with the team to Iceland in 1986.
Rip Big jack
Unfortunately Liam Brady didn't get a look in.
Seeing he got sent off before euro 88
and injury for West Ham set him back.
Great talent then unfortunately with so many foreigners now we will never have a side like that again
I didn’t t! 😏
