The White Sheik (1952) by Federico Fellini, Clip: Enter Giulietta Masina as Cabiria, the prostitute

The Image: First - all very beautiful and gorgeous to look at. (And very, very funny!)
Fellini is so good at night scenes - especially depicting the backstreets of Rome...
But of course this scene is mainly significant for the birth (so to speak) of the character of Cabiria - the prostitute character (played so deftly by Giulietta Masina*) that Fellini would lavish a whole film on five years later in Nights of Cabiria (1957)
*and his wife from 1943 of course. They remained married until death did them part - first Fellini in 1993 - then 5 months later, Giulietta - and they were buried together...
