Incredible coverage! I’m glad i came across this video because you mention things most media people didn’t consider. The developer perspective dives deeper into each detail of the interface and how the experience is optimized for this hardware/software. I also appreciate that you mention the immersive space limitations as of now, but still focus on the advantages of the features you saw. Lastly, thank you for not hating on the spatial video feature. I thought I was the only one who could see how cool that is going to be since no other device can do it. I love the dog example because they don’t care how we look with it on. But even as a human, I think it’s cool to have it on while recording.
I’m watching this video for the first time in January 2024 (6 months after you posted) and you nailed the new way how we are available to record spatial video en the new iPhone 15 Pro. At 19:09. Congratulations 🎉for your vision.
Great conversation. Looking forward to an update now that the (surprisingly mature!) SDK is available.
Really enjoyed hearing each of your perspectives in depth, especially about how they organized the special experience at Apple Park.
I hope they somehow make Harry Potter in 3D.
Wonderful vibe guys 👍🏼
I’m really glad I came across this video! It’s such a great in depth review and experience of the AVP. So many other reviews seemed rushed and they felt like they had to talk about other stuff or they would go on rants about the price or who would buy this, etc. anyway, I see so many things I can use this for! I’m not big on VR gaming, I’m more into experiences. For one, artending live events. I’m also looking forward to being able to visit a anyplace around the world and see it in 3D! Right now it seems like Apple has nailed the visuals and sound of a scenery. In the future, I wish someone will create automated fans that simulate atmospheric winds in the room that you are sitting g in that match the scenery you are experiencing! Maybe I need to get to work on creating that lol!
Cheers. I look forward to the next video…
Thanks for recording this for us mere mortals 🎉❤
Great video; I really appreciated this informative perspective from 2 programmers. I’ve never been so excited for a piece of technology since Super Nintendo came out, lol! I’d love to hear more about your experiences using/developing for the vision pro. Hoping to have one in 2024
Very interesting talk :) thanks. You talk about future iphone probably getting 3d cameras - which is i believe certain - but there is also an opportunity here for apple speakers to have a photo/video contribution from different points of view to make a 3d image/video with that much more “eye positions” to create a new type of visual 3d media.
Not sure if you know the answer, but is the headset able to be plugged in and charged/powered through the MacBook Pro?
May I ask you if the environment projected into your eyes was real 3d or if you could tell the difference between reality and VR?
as much as possible yes.....but nothing is perfect
Are the 180 videos you watched in vision pro volumetric? (could move slightly in the videos?) example: th-cam.com/video/DFobWjSYst4/w-d-xo.html
I need a girlfriend who can code.
Promo`SM 😬
remember when we thought Apple Watch and TVOS was gonna the next big revenue stream for developers... :) AND remember when that launched they had users! :P Ill come back in 5 years it might be a platform by then :) and no VR controller support will keep games devs away.
Plenty of people making nice money on the watch though
The most profitable devs in the app store were early adopters. Now it's saturated and much harder to get a foot in the door. In 5 years the world will have passed you by.
@@tonyhawk123 for the iPhone maybe but apple tv and watch os app store died off very quickly AND THEY HAD USERS :) this wont have much users for years. Its never goona go below 1500. its a full mac on your face.
