FirePro is so good, I’m glad it’s on here, there’s also a dlc which lets you start your own wrestling/mma promotion which is really detailed and kind of like the two management sims in the video. If you can look past the graphics, the game has everything you could really want in a wrestling/fighting game all in one, including one of the most insanely detailed creation suites, where you can customize the logic and make them play exactly how you want or how they would in real life. I saw this one video on someone who made it so their character would only put the opponent in a rest hold and tire them out, and then go for a finishing move, it was so stupidly funny. I definitely recommend fire pro to anyone that’s curious
Honestly they need to add a Dana White simulator mode to the next ufc game. Something I hate about career mode is you have all the same fighters as today with terrible records in their 40’s. With this mode you could basically choose what guys you wanna build up and cut the old fighters
Oh man I pre-ordered EA Sports MMA back in the day! I remember being so hyped as they revealed the roster and it had so many legends like Kevin Randleman and Ken Shamrock! To this day, that is my favorite MMA game. So nostalgic for that time. I remember reading about Supremacy MMA in Game Informer and saw it at GameStop but always read it was a horrible game so never bothered with it.
Enjoyed your video. As for FPWW, I have it and enjoy it. While it does have learning curve, alot of fans acutally use it to simulate fights/matches. I have it for Steam and with workshops you can download fighters, wrestlers, from all over. And with its creation logic you can make them act how they do in real life. The MMA mode is okay, however one feature that I need to tell you about, is the ability to make your own moves with Move Craft. While the feature does take time to learn, you can make any move you can think from wrist controlled ground pounds, flying arm bars, and suplexes that even make Kevin Randleman jealous. If you wanted to, you could even make suplexes that go 20 feet in the air and end in and armbar.
The things you said about Fire Pro apply to pretty much every pro wrestling games. So if we’re gonna include that, it’s also worth mentioning that the last few WWE games include three UFC alumni: Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, and Shayna Baszler.
Fire Pro actually has an MMA rules match in exhibition mode and actually comes with a roster of unlicensed MMA fighters. Fire Pro R for PS2 had Rampage Jackson, Randy Couture, Don Frye and more - you had to edit their names but they were there 👀 The moves list for created wrestlers/fighters is DEEP and the simplicity of the gameplay can lead to some impressive sequences, especially on the ground. One of my favourite things to do is to just set up a tournament and watch the cpu go at it in the highest level
Noo no noo lol. I thought the same thing I bought it for the PS3 back in the day, beat the story mode once which is like an hour and a half long then I was so bored I just traded it back in I picked it back up last year for the vita and sold it four days later. Sadly it’s really not a good game
Bro, World of MMA is so much fun. I have sunk countless hours into managing GAMMA in that game. I would recommend it to any hardcore MMA fan, especially if they enjoy management simulation games.
@@antevansufc I haven’t yet, but I think I’m going to try some soon. I’ve seen a few that even go back in time. They have a Pride vs. UFC mod, a mod that takes you back to 1997, 1993, 2009, and a few more eras in MMA. I definitely think those would add a lot to an already fun game.
Honorable mention for Weekend Warriors. MDickies mma game. I've actually played almost all of this list i feel accomplished lol. I own WMMA, FPW, and EA MMA still.
Hounstly I wish 2k would take a few small things from there WWE games (primarily the creation suite because I think having a Create an Arena in a MMA game would be cool) and try to make an MMA game
Never tried wmma but ive play other greydog games and they are really deep. Hard to learn but allow you to do almost anything. Their wrestling game is the most complex wrestling management sim I've ever seen. You missed a few games from the ps1 era though from japan, im blanking on the name but i know theres one that is held in very high regard and even has a modded version that adds more pride/ufc fighters
Im a huge wrestling fan and i love fpww. I wouldn’t buy it for the mma mode but if your a huge wrestling fan like me go ahead and pick it up. I will say its extremely difficult at first with its grappling system but once u learn how it works its a blast.
Tekken is NOT locked to 2d movement lmao. Tekken has had sidestepping since Tekken 3 and over half of the technicality of the game is movement and sidestepping to create whiffs and launch punish.

World of Mixed Martial arts is fun but its also super boring at the same time. There is like no music so ur just staring at things sim in complete silence.
ESports Boxing game has a LONG way to go. It has a great foundation but I'm afraid they are not going to polish off any of the mechanics. It is ultra boring at the moment, even online. There is no power, one style and one way to win (countering). Countering was always a bit too much in Fight Night, and aggressive fighters usually had low chance of winning, and it was so much stamina management, counters. That equaled to very one dimensional gameplay and players. Afraid this game is going to end up even worse.
I actually played Supremacy, picked it up used from an EB years ago and fucking hated it. Its control system was super jank. It's not like a fighting game, or a sports fighting game. There's no fluidity of movement or striking. It's hard to explain the controls. Anyway, I got maybe 30 minutes kif of if and traded it back in.
