I usually hate this stuff, but the only reasonable, real age verification online probably requires a nationalized system. Basically, you verify your info with the government system. That system then gives a token to the site prompting age verification. That way, websites and vendors don't need to be tumbling around with images of your licence. The problem I still have is privacy related. The govt then has another way to tie your names to purchasing history that they otherwise couldn't get. It would have to be done in a truly discreet way, where the government system that produces the token doesn't directly interact with where the token ultimately goes. Basically, centralized 2 step age clearance. A process that's the same everywhere and only exists for the government to say, "This a person we know, and they're old enough." to services requiring age verification. Just a reliable handshake.

Thing is, they did this here in Louisiana. So I started using a VPN. Now when I use the VPN it's placing me in texas and now I'm getting a Texas block. I managed to refresh the VPN and it put me somewhere else but they've put me in Texas a couple of times now. Sigh imma have to end up getting a paid vpn.
