i think the vinigar is bad idea for gaskets. i snipped the same bolt as you and i'm gonna replace it this week i used vinigar before, but only for half an hour the i replaced the coolant

Yes you can drive without thermostat ,and the fan will come on...but I wudnt advise doing this ,only if it's necessary ..and as a temporary measure ,. Thermostat plays a specific role.it regulates and keeps a constant temp for engine to operate at it's optimum ..can cause other negative issues without a thermo...have u seen this video on the thermostat th-cam.com/video/igMePj4V3Ug/w-d-xo.html
Hello sir sorry for asking an irrelevant question from your topic today but, im struggling here with wiring my MK1 burns module after module almost instantly, checked for loose wires and open wires but nothing, someone suggested it might be my coil, someone else suggested it might be the dizzy cap or dizzy as a whole, any idea on what it might be

My good sir, I bought a new water pump 2 weeks later its leaking on the side of the pulley please assist on how I can remedy the situation

It's just 4 bolts that hold the water pump to the Block

You "think" vinegar is a bad idea.So,don't use it then.
Worked for me over many years.

When refilling the radiator, what ratio to you propose when it comes to Water and AntiFreeze,
Generally it's a 50 / 50 mix.. Try and use distilled water ,if u can

If you have an original carb,like the Keihin KS2 you can just clean it..and it's usually ok after that..take carb off and blast it with carb cleaner
