you can also use the paint spilling out to your advantage and use a brush with then and basically turn them into regular acrylic paints, very fun to experiment with
I find these arrtx markers work best on gessoed surfaces, even if it's a light coat... That or watercolor ground. But, clear gesso is much more adorable, and it makes a world difference in the capabilities of the markers (blending in particular)...! I use fredrix and Paramount, sometimes Yes! for gifts I make, but can work in my regular sketchbooks with much less by way of limitations, when I the prime surface.... This is awesome for rock paint, as well! Really glad you went from paper to canvas!! Happy painting, can't wait to see more like this and what you come up with next!! 🩵 I enjoyed this video a lot! I also love how all the paintings came out, especially the ike one 🥰 I've only used posca, but I think the graphic illustration look that opaque paints can create are so cool! I'd love to see you use these more in the future if you enjoy them 🥺 I'm kind of compelled to snag some of the simptap markers now bc i've been really enjoying paint markers more... 🤭

i love how these pieces turned out! i'm still learning color and it kinda scares and confuses me, but i'm loving these bold colors especially in your second illustration. it's too bad you weren't feeling the huo huo painting, it turned out quite well! could i ask what canvas board you used in the video? it seemed to work really well with the markers ^^
