Loved travelling vicariously with you on your trip to the UK! You are indeed blessed to have connected with such supportive knitting friends! So glad to hear you are feeling better too. Take care! 🧶🤗
I always enjoy your podcasts. Never feel you have to apologise or edit genuine emotions. I shed a few tears in sympathy as I had been feeling much the same (for different reasons as I am a good bit older) So glad you are feeling better.
Dear Nancy, I am so glad that you enjoyed your trip to your "home" country. All my forefathers come from the UK. Spending time with your yarny friends is so special. The skein you dyed is so beautiful. All the minis that you received would make a nice memory lap blanket. I love that you donate to charities close to your heart. 💜
Thank you for sharing not only your trip but life and all the crappy hormonal joy we ladies deal with. Here’s to much knitting, sipping and calmer days.
Love listening to your wonderful trip to the UK and i know how you feel each time you go back. I was born in Moncton N.B. and on the rare occasions i go back, it is like returning home. I miss it always. I am drooling over the yarn you dyed and those you brought back. Always a joy to spend time with you ❤❤❤
Awesome recap of your visit to the UK and your authenticity! Life is life and it's so great to see it expressed in such a genuine way. Menopause is a reality and talking about it is important. I'm so glad you were able to strengthen your connections with so many knitting/fibre friends!
Such a lovely video. So nice to see a genuine person showing up. I'm glad you are feeling better and are finding pockets of joy in your life. Show yourself the kindness you give to others. I was wondering why 19 minis and it blew me away the reason. What a wonderful thing for the organisers to think of, and a beautiful memory for you as participants. Thankyou xx
I very much enjoyed your travel blog. Please don’t apologise for the way you feel or the tears. I’ve been back in Australia for 8 years but lived in the UK for 11 years and I miss it terribly. I had a bit of a tear in my eyes watching your video, because I lived for about 8 years in Twyford and Bracknell (near Reading). So I can relate to the emotion around being in the UK which I will always feel connected to. I’m glad you had such a good trip x
So glad to hear that your trip has contributed to a better feeling of wellbeing. There is nothing like the smells and tastes of childhood to make you feel better. I am very lucky that I still live in the town where I was born about 25 miles north of London. It has changed over the 78 years of my life but it is still home. The yarn that you dyed is a gorgeous colour and I think the 19 minis are a delight. Love the socks. Looking forward to the new pattern. 🇬🇧
I so enjoy your podcasts and would Love 🎄Vlogmas!!! I cried when I saw the group of ladies you were with at the yarn retreat!! Such precious women and can only imagine the lifelong connections you have made!! Your yarn is BEAUTIFUL!!!
Oh Nancy so sorry to hear you have been feeling so crap - sending you big hugs and thank you so much for sharing. Glad you are starting to feel better - oh and that yarn that you dyed is divine - totally love that colour
I don’t think there was a single thing I didn’t fully enjoy in this podcast episode! Your newest designs are wonderful and I am so with you when it comes to vanilla socks! I have to have some kind of design going. Your UK visit seems magical. Thank you for sharing!
❤❤ahhh,,,!!!Nancy,,,,,you are the sweetest🎉🎉 Never apologize,,,,it's life,,,,,been there ,,,as a lot of us have,,we know,,l😢😢 Loved ur podcast,,,,what a trip,,,love hearing about it ,,and what a lovely time,,,seeing everyone,,so nice for you 💕 What lovely yarn you dyed💕🧡 And the yarns from everyone ,,,,😍 Such memories,,,,, Thanks for taking us along ,,,, Elaine 🏠💕🍁🍄
Another great episode Nancy. As another woman of a certain age I totally understand how you have been feeling. I'm so glad things are a bit better for you now. Sending a hug xx
Nancy, it's always so lovely to share this time with you. It sounds like you had an awesome vacation, recharge. Your travel vlog was so great. I hope to get to England someday. On my bucket list. Thanks !❤
Hi Nancy, I loved your vlog of your trip. You are by far my favourite podcaster. You are terrific and keep it real. Hormones, mice and all! We are all in the same boat. I enjoyed your vlogmas last year….and do hope you can do it again. Take care.
Hello Nancy. I’m so glad that you enjoyed your trip to the UK. My daughter and I went to the Woollay retreat the weekend after you did and had a great time. We also stayed at the pub and had the overhot bathroom radiator experience, although we had the family room. It was a great retreat, I’d love to go again but we travelled across from Kent by train and it was a bit of a mission. Love your podcast.
Thank you Nancy, this is another wonderful podcast of yours. I will add my vote for vlogmas, whether you do it daily or group a few days together it is perfect for me. And I love the idea of December being dedicated to selfish knitting, however I did too much selfish knitting during the year so I am trying to power through my Christmas knits. I even reduced the number of Christmas knits to 4 with one that can be delivered post Christmas, and I have two half finished (Maxine hot water bottle cover + long standing Stocking WIP - Arne and Carlos 2023). The other two will get cast on this weekend, one is a mini stuffed chicken and the other are saltwater trigger mitts in aran weight Briggs and Little. And no worries re: moods, we all have mental health and all women have or have had hormonal shifts....keep sharing as many of us can relate to your experiences. Happy knitting.
Hi Nancy. Lovely catching up with you. Thank you for sharing your menopause experiences. You are not alone. Loved hearing your description of our retreat. Smiled at ‘crusty pants’ 😆. Looking forward to your Wigget sock pattern. Sarah x
Your sewing is amazing. Be proud of that jacket. The bargain yarn from Portugal is such a delicate colour. What a bargain. As for your latest lento - it looks fantastic on you. Great finished knits too. Have fun ❤
That was a great episode. I was able to enjoy throughout the day. Nancy never apologize for being real. Sometimes by showing your weakness it helps others. I myself suffer from depression and anxiety. And without medication I’m not sure I would be here. Anyway great big Hugs to you. You certainly were able to hide what you were going through but never feel like you have to. Hugs again
Menopause is no joke and it sucks. I had a sudden menopause at 30 and then the universe decided to do all the awful stuff again 20 years later. (Hormones are just cruel) I’m glad they got your medication figured out - it’s a life saver. So glad you are feeling better and had a wonderful time in England.
The color of your Felix suits you so well 🩷 Going to copy your idea for the Litmus/which way cowl and thank you for sharing your moments with us, and as one child immigrant to another, I totally relate to your feelings of going home to recharge 🫶🫶🫶🫶
I vote YES for vlogsmas - I didn’t watch last year’s so feel free to repeat everything! 😂 Also, I’m so happy to see how great the trip was for your spirits ❤
The little blips of color on your new socks look like tiny little hearts ❤ I just bought the Njord socks. My husband is a retired Veteran of the US Army, and yes, they can use a little extra support and tlc. Glad that you're feeling much, much better!
They little blips are so sweet aren't they?!?! Thank you for the sock support and absolutely I think it's good to have extra resources to come back to "real" life. Thank you for your service ❣️ We military wives, served right along with them
Aww Nancy so pleased you enjoyed your trip and were able to reset as well ❤ never apologise for being you as we women ago through the hormone thing ❤ god bless you Nancy 🙏🏻🙏🏻
❤❤❤ Hugs. I encourage your authenticity, we should all be so brave and see each other for where they are at with compassion and love. What a wonderful trip thank you for sharing, the views from the bus were great.
Hi Nancy, thank you for another wonderful episode. I'm always so happy to see a new one pop up! Thank you for sharing, not only your gorgeous knitting, designs & spinning, but for also letting us feel like we're old friends sharing news and life's ups and downs. I can totally relate to what you've described re. menopause and all the fun ways it derails us, and I'm so happy you're finding a more comfortable balance these days to help with that - that's huge, I know! :-) This knitting community is such a joy and helps me manage all 'the feels' as my kids call it. Thanks for being such a big part of that! So happy you got to go on that trip - Cheers!
The support and encouragement has been so lovely since I posted this episode. Most of us are women of a certain age 😁 I do love coming for a chat and it feels like I'm spending time with friends as well, which is weird when I'm sitting alone talking to my phone 🤓. Thanks for being here ❣️
I really enjoyed your episode and seeing your lovely yarn. I loved hearing about the yarn retreat. I'm glad your joy is coming back....menopause is hard!
Hi Nancy, I'm so glad you had the opportunity to go on the retreat & "reset" in such a great location with like-minded knitters & crafters. ❤ I always enjoy your podcasts as you are an inspirational knitter & you present in a way that makes it seem like we're at knit night!😊 Regarding vlogmas, please don't feel pressured & only do it if it suits you. As you said December is "your time". ❤❤
I feel so lucky to have had the chance 💕 I absolutely love coming for a chat and I'm so happy that you feel the same 🥰 I am going to do Vlogmas and we will see what I can get up to 🎄🤓
Hi Nancy. thanks for sharing your travels and knit here and on the vlog about your trip and retreat. Your color way is beautiful and what a fun memory with those minis. Can't wait to see what you do with them. I'm happy for you that you're finding relief with the change in med dosages . The struggle is real and we all have either been there with you or will be. Looking forward to seeing you minis ode about advent knitting and I'm adopting your No gift Knitting December philosophy. Take care.
So glad you had a great trip (and also that the adjustment in meds is working for you). I am sure I’m not the only viewer who wants to reach out and give you a big hug! The retreat looked like so much fun- would love to go…..alas our Canadian $ really makes travel tough.
Another great podcast Nancy. I really enjoyed your travel blog too. I was so excited for you going to the retreat and meeting up with a bunch of my favourite podcasters.
Lovely to hear your travel and retreat memories. Totally get your nostalgia for UK as I'm a Brit living in California. Always a treat to go shopping in Tescos of Sainsburys, meals in pubs, fish and chips and a Chinese takeaway. I'd love to visit Ironbridge again, Shropshire is one of my favourite counties. Love Kelly's yarn, I was lucky to get some for Christmas last year, savouring it and waiting for the perfect project of course! Thanks for the episode. Jane
Yes, yes, yes!!! All of that 🤓 I'd never been to Shropshire before and it was lovely...I'd love to go again! There's certain yarns that just feel too precious and they need to be admired for a while 🤓
Enjoyed your podcast as always- and as so many others have said no need to apologize. Celebrate the return of feeling yourself again to the max! Also- spent the entire podcast admiring the wonderful pink sweater. A friend of mine gave me some yarn in that shade that she didn’t want and I’ve been really hesitating to use it. No more. Probably casting it on today😂
So enjoy your podcast. Very happy you had such a lovely visit with friends in England. We can all relate to unplanned tears. You are with your people.❤️🧶❤️
The yardage on your Rambouillet spin is incredible. Wonderful colours. I’m working on Targhee for the first time and thinking it will behave the same way.
I just discovered you this year and then met you in person in the hallway on the Friday of Knit City Toronto. I went back and watched your Vlogmas from last year and loved it. I would love to see you through December in whatever capacity you feel you could manage. You are lovely to hang out with. :)
Nancy, I'm so glad you are feeling better. I've been praying for you this autumn. It sounds like your trip to England came at just the right time. Your yarn is lovely! I can't wait to see what sock design you make with it; maybe iron bridge inspired? I love the idea of using all those mini skeins in a project together to remember the retreat. Your new design is beautiful and I can't wait to try it.❤🧶
Thank you for explaining the 68 stitch sock. And I don’t care if it’s the same as last year! 😂 I will watch again! And you don’t have to do every day do what you can ❤
Don’t ever apologize for showing and sharing your feelings. We all go through things and it’s wonderful to have a supportive group like this that doesn’t judge because a lot of us have been through similar experiences! Big hugs! Please vlog in December! Whatever you can give us, we’ll be happy with! ❤❤🧶
Thank you very much Sonia 💕 I have had so much encouragement and support from the lovely knitters. How lucky to be part of this knitting world 🥰 I will be doing Vlogmas 🎄
Enjoyed hearing of your trip. It is great you got a chance to recharge and reset. Never apologize, I appreciate you being real and genuine. Looking forward to the new pattern release.
I love to watch vlogmas! I was not here for yours last year so it would be new to me. Not to mention it’s different advent, calendars and different yarn. However, if you don’t feel you have enough content, you could do it weekly. You could film bits each day and combine them for a weekly episode.
Oh Nancy so sorry to hear about the hard time you’ve went through😢 so glad that you’re feeling better😘 menopause is the worst😢 I was so happy to see that you’ve posted a new episode 🥰 totally made my day☺️ The colour of your Felix sweater is so pretty on you🩷 Can’t wait to get your upcoming new pattern - just bought the Njord socks. Take care❤️💐 Hanne
Thanks for the pattern love Hanne 💕 I'm feeling a bit more stable these days and I'm so grateful for that! I had no idea menopause was going to be like this, but here we are 😆
Thanks for another great vlog. I loved your previous vlog on your trip to the UK and Lay Family Yarns Retreat. I’m not a sock knitter unfortunately but think your column in your sock reminds me of the iron bridge and looks wonderful 😊
Thank you for being you and for being real. My coworker and I talk about how menopause is a huge life change that isn't talked about enough. I'm happy to hear that you are feeling better and that your trip was a great reset for you!
Just found your video's and I love this one because I see many people I know from youtube. Thank you for showing us around, such beautiful scenery. Now I'm going to watch your vlogmas video's because I LOVE vlogmas. Hi from the Netherland.
I wish I had made notes as I was watching to make comments. 🤪 I love your Felix pullover. ❤️ You already know how much I loved watching your vlog of your trip. Spending time with knitting friends is the best! I’ve been fortunate to meet some of my Instagram friends and podcasters in person. ❤❤❤
Thank you for being open and honest about your hormone struggles. So many of us suffer in silence afraid/ashamed to talk about it. It shouldn’t this way and I’m so glad to see that times are changing. So happy to hear you are feeling better.
Times really do seem to be changing... for me it was the Mel Robbins podcast with Dr Haver! I had no idea what was happening to me!!!! The encouragement and support that I've gotten here has been amazing and has proven once again what an amazing group we are 🥰 Thanks for lifting me up with your kind words❣️
Your yucky weather is just like ours right in the middle of the USA... rain is stopping but it is gray and "wet" cold. I am so glad that your trip turned out so well... it came at JUST the right time, when you needed it the most. Take care!
We had quire a bit of snow later that day as the temperature dropped. I'm so not ready for that 🤓 The trip was just what I needed and my tears don't quite demonstrate the fact that I do feel better 😆
P.S. If YOU feel like doing vlogmas, that would be lovely, no matter what you feel like filming. I just enjoy ‘visiting’ and honestly, I’d enjoy watching you wash your socks! Oh wait, I have watched you washing your socks! 😂 See? It’s all good, year round! Cheers! 😊🧶🍷🧦 🎉
Love your podcasts, love your sock patterns! As soon as I watched the part about where the money you raise from the sales on the Njord sock pattern goes, I bought the pattern immediately! A tip - you know all those lone braids of fibre that you spin up that will go into a "colourwork sweater"? I'm also a spinner, and like to plan my odd single handspun skeins to go eventually into an Andrea Mowry Nightshift shawl. You need 6 different skeins for that! 😊😅
Thank you for another fab episode. We get you on the menopause thing. Sending virtual hugs. I would love to see a Vlogmas. Wintery Canada would look so lovely compared to my summery, hot and humid Australia. Only do whats good for you and enjoy the seasonal festivities 🎅🧶
Thank you for another wonderful podcast, brightening a rather exhausting week! I can’t wait for your new sock pattern, definitely need a lovely candy cane sock 😊 I wonder if this pattern will work great with a self striping yarn … I hope your coming weeks will be lovely and you come up with a decision on vlogmas that makes you happy! (I love the simple company of vlogmas and the day to day personally)
I hope you're week has flown by and you are finding some crafting time for a little joy this weekend 💕 It will be interesting to try the new pattern with self-striping but unless the stripes were the exact width, thee pattern won't line up. I think I want to try self striping with a solid 🤔 I will be doing Vlogmas 🎄 and I'm looking forward to it 🤓
Hi Nancy, the cool winter colours like the cerise of your Felix sweater suits you the best. I enjoyed your England trip volg and last year's Vlogmas. Please do another Vlogmas, don't worry about new content - your advent yarns, etc will be new :D. Imagine you are a South African traveller to England and the exchange rate is 1:23 - now that sucks. However, if you're a Canadian and you travel to South Africa, you can buy gorgoues hand-dyed yarns at 1:13 in your favour.
Great fun as usual, although this time in two sections. Yesterday lunchtime as usual and this evening as I prepped mac and cheese with cauliflower. As I was using my hands not note taking could you remind me of the maker / provider of the blue yak sock yarn and also the colour. I think I need a jumper quantity of that. I also love your dyed yarn that you created. It would make a gorgeous jumper if you had more of it. I must have a go at dying sometime, it looks great fun. Christmas vlogmas -yes please but maybe every two / three days so as not to put too much pressure on you. Sx
I love your podcasts .The longer the better. ❤ Thank you for always sharing all that you do. Please please please do xmas vlogs. I am a new subscriber. Have a wonderful week or two and see you soon. ❤
I would love to watch your vlogmas should you decide to do it!😊 Also, will the Njord pattern be updated on Love Crafts? I try to purchase there-thanks!
Looks like you had a fab time in the UK Nancy :) Thank you for another lovely chatty episode! I need to ask about shrinking a jumper in the dryer though as I have a sweater that needs tightening up. Do you have any tips as to temp and time? I got totally choked up when you talked about your trip. I really wanted to give you a hug :) Kathryn x x x
I'll take that hug sometime in the future 🤗 So when I shrink in the dryer it's 5 - 10 minute increments, on the "cotton" setting on my dryer. I'm trying on a damp jumper after each time to see how things are going.
My pleasure Linda❣️ I have no problem traveling with metal needles. I always mention to the security agent that I have knitting needles and I've always been told that it's not a problem 🧶
Dear knitting friend, i totally been through all you are going through now. NO apologies needed. I so enjoy your earnest & gracious spirit. I did enjoy your vlogmas last year. Opening the boxes was fun. The trips were interesting too. Even the grand puppy was nice. Loved seeing your job spot. Just remember its your vlogmas it doesn't have to be daily. I have a spinning question. Bit of a newby here. When setting the twist, will it shrink in the process. And if so is it better to rehank afterwards to obtain a more accurate yardage? Lovely hand dyed yarn. Do you think you will dye at home? That would be interesting to watch.
That is so kind of you to say 🥰 I will do vlogmas again this year and I'm excited about that 🎄 So for spinning. I find that it usually plumps up a lot when you wash and set the twist, so I only weigh and measure the yardage after washing. It definitely changes the yardage and wraps per inch measurements. I can't see dyeing yarn at home. It was fun at the retreat because we didn't have to do the hard work, just the fun bit🤓 Happy knitting and I'll "see" you soon
Your new design blue and white. Do you think that would work with self stripping yarn and a coordinating colour?? I am always looking for new ways to use self stripping yarn
That could be really fun Sue! The only thing is that the self striping yarn probably won't have the correct number of rounds, so the colour changes won't be lined up to the elongated stitches. If you use a contrasting for the opposite stripes and they will be consistent and let the stripy yarn got wild!!

Hi Nancy. thanks for sharing your travels and knit here and on the vlog about your trip and retreat.
Oh big hugs Nancy. Bloody hormones ❤❤❤
Another great podcast Nancy. I really enjoyed your travel blog too. I was so excited for you going to the retreat and meeting up with a bunch of my favourite podcasters.
I was also very excited and it was everything I hoped for❣️❣️
Lovely to hear your travel and retreat memories.
Never be sorry, we've all been through this, take care of yourself, sending hugs.
So enjoy your podcast. Very happy you had such a lovely visit with friends in England. We can all relate to unplanned tears. You are with your people.❤️🧶❤️
Thank you Kristen 🥰 The encouragement and support has been lovely ❣️
The yardage on your Rambouillet spin is incredible. Wonderful colours. I’m working on Targhee for the first time and thinking it will behave the same way.
Thank you for sharing your lovely trip to England. What an experience. Take Care.
Thank you Donna❣️ I'm already dreaming of the next one 🥰
Your new design is beautiful and I can't wait to try it.❤🧶
Wonderful episode!! Love seeing all the goodies and hearing about your trip! 💗
Thanks for spending some (quite a lot 😆) of time with me❣️
Thank you for explaining the 68 stitch sock.
And I don’t care if it’s the same as last year! 😂 I will watch again! And you don’t have to do every day do what you can ❤
That was a pleasure Julia...let me know if I wasn't clear enough 🙂 I can confirm that I will be doing Vlogmas 🎄
@ yay vlogmas!
Thanks very much Sharron 💕 The support and encouragement have been so heart-warming. I'm excited for the new pattern as well...I love it so much ❣️
I love to watch vlogmas! I was not here for yours last year so it would be new to me. Not to mention it’s different advent, calendars and different yarn. However, if you don’t feel you have enough content, you could do it weekly. You could film bits each day and combine them for a weekly episode.
Oh yummy yummy beautiful skeins of wool.
Oh Nancy so sorry to hear about the hard time you’ve went through😢 so glad that you’re feeling better😘 menopause is the worst😢
I was so happy to see that you’ve posted a new episode 🥰 totally made my day☺️
The colour of your Felix sweater is so pretty on you🩷
Can’t wait to get your upcoming new pattern - just bought the Njord socks.
Take care❤️💐
Hanne
Thanks for the pattern love Hanne 💕 I'm feeling a bit more stable these days and I'm so grateful for that! I had no idea menopause was going to be like this, but here we are 😆
Love you as you are!
Thank you...that's very kind 💕 Apparently my hormones are still out of whack 😆
So glad that you're feeling better ☺️
Thank you...me too❣️
Thank you for another great episode. Happy knitting 🧶 x
It's a pleasure to come and chat and I appreciate you spending time with me 💕
Thanks for another great vlog.
The yarn you dyed is absolutely gorgeous. 🤩🤩
Thanks Luanne 🥰 I am so so happy with it 🩵
Love the new pattern, in my library. Your sweater is amazing! Followed your blog and loved every bit of your travels!
Thanks so much Klaske 🥰 I hope you love knitting your socks 🧦
Wonderful that your holiday was a reset and that you are feeling better. I loved your vlogs last December - I hope you do something this year.
Thanks so much Carolyn 💕 i will be doing Vlogmas 🎄 😊
Hello from Swansea, Illinois. ❤❤❤❤❤
Hello Janet 👋 💕
Just found your video's and I love this one because I see many people I know from youtube. Thank you for showing us around, such beautiful scenery.
Now I'm going to watch your vlogmas video's because I LOVE vlogmas.
Hi from the Netherland.
Hi Carin 👋 I was also excited to see those people 😆 I'm so lucky to have spent some time with them 🥰
I will be back to do Vlogmas this year 🎄
I wish I had made notes as I was watching to make comments. 🤪 I love your Felix pullover. ❤️ You already know how much I loved watching your vlog of your trip. Spending time with knitting friends is the best! I’ve been fortunate to meet some of my Instagram friends and podcasters in person. ❤❤❤
Meeting other knitters is just the best 🥰 I'm a terrible commenter on other podcasts 🤓 I always forget what I wanted to say or I leave four comments 😁
@ I’ll just start commenting as soon as I see something. 🤣
@dmbrown240 it's good to get it out of our brains 😂
Thank you for being open and honest about your hormone struggles. So many of us suffer in silence afraid/ashamed to talk about it. It shouldn’t this way and I’m so glad to see that times are changing. So happy to hear you are feeling better.
Times really do seem to be changing... for me it was the Mel Robbins podcast with Dr Haver! I had no idea what was happening to me!!!! The encouragement and support that I've gotten here has been amazing and has proven once again what an amazing group we are 🥰 Thanks for lifting me up with your kind words❣️
Make a iron bridge sock pattern with the fretwork!
My Freddy Beach Sock could be used as an Ironbridge sock because it was based on a bridge 🤔
Love your podcasts, even with tears. Don't worry we get it.❤
Thank you Lisa❣️ There I was saying that I was feeling better and more in control...perhaps not 😆😆
Cheers! 😊🧶🍷🧦 🎉
I would love to watch your vlogs in December! 💕
Thanks❣️❣️ Vlogmas is a go 🎄
Wonderful Need something to watch while having my lunch. Long episodes are great. I can watch some and watch the rest later. Thanks Nancy
Perfect!! Thanks for hanging out with me Wendy 💕
Vlogmas would be FUN !! Cant wait to see your Pixie fiber spun up !
I can confirm I will be doing Vlogmas 🤓 I also can't wait to get to that fibre, but I must finish my current spun first. I must right?? 😆😆
Love your new design 😍
Thank you!! Me too and I can't wait to release it in December 🎄
Aww don’t worry about the tears been there all of that behind me now. Stay strong my dear.
Thank you again Linda 💓 The encouragement and support have been absolutely lovely❣️
Vlogmas will be happening 🎄🤓 I've had so much encouragement and support from all the lovely knitters 🥰
Thank you for another wonderful podcast, brightening a rather exhausting week! I can’t wait for your new sock pattern, definitely need a lovely candy cane sock 😊 I wonder if this pattern will work great with a self striping yarn …
I hope your coming weeks will be lovely and you come up with a decision on vlogmas that makes you happy! (I love the simple company of vlogmas and the day to day personally)
I hope you're week has flown by and you are finding some crafting time for a little joy this weekend 💕
It will be interesting to try the new pattern with self-striping but unless the stripes were the exact width, thee pattern won't line up. I think I want to try self striping with a solid 🤔
I will be doing Vlogmas 🎄 and I'm looking forward to it 🤓
Hi Nancy, the cool winter colours like the cerise of your Felix sweater suits you the best.
Would love to see you in Vlogmas,🥰
Yes please to the advents if you have time!
Thanks Lucia❣️ I'm going to do it 🎄
I'm going to make your new socks in Christmas colours. It looks like that could work well.
💯% Ellen!!! That would be amazing. Some of my tester’s are doing that 🧦
Great fun as usual, although this time in two sections.
Yes, do vlogmas! 😊🌲❄️🎄🎉🎁🎅
Thank you 😊😊 I will be doing Vlogmas 🎄
❤❤
I recognise the bag your scraps were in! Cricket Cove (now Three Bags Full) 😊
Hahaha...Yes!!!
I'd love Vlogmas from you!
Thank you and I'm doing it 🎄
I would love to watch your vlogmas should you decide to do it!😊
Also, will the Njord pattern be updated on Love Crafts? I try to purchase there-thanks!
I think you should do blogmas. We all do the same things every year. It’s still fun.
Thanks Marie❣️ I'm going to do it 🎄
Looks like you had a fab time in the UK Nancy :) Thank you for another lovely chatty episode! I need to ask about shrinking a jumper in the dryer though as I have a sweater that needs tightening up. Do you have any tips as to temp and time? I got totally choked up when you talked about your trip. I really wanted to give you a hug :) Kathryn x x x
I'll take that hug sometime in the future 🤗
So when I shrink in the dryer it's 5 - 10 minute increments, on the "cotton" setting on my dryer. I'm trying on a damp jumper after each time to see how things are going.
Loved your Vlogmas last year, would enjoy it again if you decide to do that :)
The votes are in and I'll be doing Vlogmas again and I'm really looking forward to it 🎄 And thank you 🥰
Thanks for a lovely podcast. Glad you had a great trip. Question? Did you have your Chicago metal needles with your carry on and you had no problems?
That is so kind of you to say 🥰
I will do vlogmas again this year and I'm excited about that 🎄
So for spinning. I find that it usually plumps up a lot when you wash and set the twist, so I only weigh and measure the yardage after washing. It definitely changes the yardage and wraps per inch measurements.
I can't see dyeing yarn at home. It was fun at the retreat because we didn't have to do the hard work, just the fun bit🤓
Happy knitting and I'll "see" you soon
Your new design blue and white. Do you think that would work with self stripping yarn and a coordinating colour?? I am always looking for new ways to use self stripping yarn
That could be really fun Sue! The only thing is that the self striping yarn probably won't have the correct number of rounds, so the colour changes won't be lined up to the elongated stitches. If you use a contrasting for the opposite stripes and they will be consistent and let the stripy yarn got wild!!
@ good point
