Do my eyes deceive me? Or did that Blues and Royals guard tell the tourist not to touch his horse? I had to run the video back to make sure I hadn't imagined it! Well done Guard!💖 Bet the other guards didn't bother though! At one time the Blues and Royals used to be very strong shouting at the tourists who bothered their horses and touched them, now they have gone not just mute but blind too, as blind as the tourists who apparently read the sign and still think it doesn't apply to them. The Lifeguards have got it down, some telling tourists not to touch the horse and telling them to read the sign and one in particular making them stand away from the horse so they can't reach them to touch them by directing them to stand behind the plain concrete area in the cobbles, which really works. I must admit I prefer them to tell the tourists than keep dragging the poor horse about by the bit which can be quite painful by the look on the horses face. Am I mistaken in the understanding that people serving in the armed forces are usually given orders to follow from a commanding officer or NCO. If not why aren't the Blues and Royals being commanded to protect their horses from abuse? I must admit to being delighted with the new COH and some of the troopers from the stable talking to the public about the fact that these guards and horses are working, and Horse Guards is not Disneyland or a petting zoo. Problem is that it seems many of the visitors to Horse Guards don't seem to comprehend things like get back behind the second white line of the bollards and look most affronted and annoyed when they eventually get pushed bodily out of the way. This unfortunately seems to be the same with don't touch the horse and read the signs, it isn't rocket science especially as there is a very clear pictorial sign prohibiting the touching of the horses under the written sign. Come on Blues and Royals find your voices again you don't need to blast them just ask in a firm voice don't touch the horse, then if they don't comply blast their ear drums out!!! Regain our respect too.
I think it was about a year ago it was stated that some high ranking officials were going through Horse Guards when the Guard shouted. They complained & the Guards were told not to shout. I don't know how true it is.
The so-called police guards are a joke. The spend most of their time standing around and chatting. There used to be a female officer that was excellent. The tourists are horrible and need close monitoring.
The horses will be gone for the rest of September - maybe the troopers can be trained on the “no touch” rule. They all know how to say “don’t touch the reins” so I don’t understand why “don’t touch the horse” is so difficult.
That's alot of poop in that box. Maybe that will keep those tourists away that like to sneak and walk through the box. Since I have yet to see a guard keep people from walking through the box while the horse and guard are in there.

These horses are mistreated by dumb tourists. The police and horseguards must be more strict with the rules. Thanks for the woman police guard who is more vigilant

@@patriciarowland2124 I wouldnt be surprised at all.
Put the no touch sign both sides
The lifeguards are pretty good at enforcing the rules the blues all appear totally oblivious to the rules
Stupid thing is...the guard does not stop them from touching...feeding the horse ...says nothing...to many of them do that.
He did stop her from touching! He literally says, “Don’t touch the horse,” to the woman. Are you commenting before watching?

The guard is at fault too for not stopping the tourists.😡
1 person touching is a lot better than lots of people mauling the horse at the same time and the guards know their horses and if it bothers them
He did stop her!

exactly it is partly the guards fault for not saying anything until things get really bad
How come? They have already had their 2-3 weeks holiday in July.
@@patriciarowland2124 renovations are being done at that site so they don’t want the horses around all that
@@LakotaBear47 Thank you for your reply 😊
Why do they think they should to touch the horses?
Possibly because of all the videos where it was allowed
And even recent videos where guards don't enforce signs/rules
it was the guards fault for tolerating it for so many years so it became a must have photo op of any visit to london
La mujer policía de a pie arece q es la única q entiende de alejar a la gente del guardia y su caballo
I may have blinked and missed it. 🤨🙄

Tentokrát se blues moc nevyznamenali, plavčíci vyžadovali nedotýkat se koní.😊
