Today I'm sharing a few things I've quit to pursue minimalism, to build confidence, to prioritize what's important to me, and to live a better life.

You are so wise for your age. I’m 72 and I’m so glad I learned some things from this video. Some I wish I had learned when I was young.
I love the section about not giving weight to negative thoughts. One of the best things my therapist has taught me is to see negative thoughts as leaves floating on a stream or river...like I see them, I recognize that they are there, but I don't try to grasp them and keep them, I just let them continue floating by. It's basically what you described just in a specific visual that really helps me out a lot.
Just because you think something, doesn’t mean it’s true. I like it. I use to tell my kids, “ just because you can, doesn’t mean you should”. If only more people reflected on their thoughts and actions and the power behind them.😊
All very good advice.
Ooo, girl, Never Let Me Go when you're talking about your inherent value ❤ maybe not intentional, but love it all the same. Such a POWERFUL read.
So much to be said about giving too much weight to other people's perceptions of us AND our own perceptions of ourselves. And the majority of the perceptions are not true no matter if they come from you or not! Watch those feelings pass. Live with them. Integrate them. Notice that you can live with icky feelings and the world doesn't crumble around you. It's a muscle, just like decluttering 😉
A bit of a ramble, but lots of great things touched on here. Keep on!
You're right, these things can change over the course of time in our lives because life is always in flux.
You look like you're feeling good so I hope that's the case. Best wishes.
Awesome points. Thanks
Not only do I love your channel but you also read Kazuo Ishiguro!!☺❤ Thank you for addressing point nb 1, it is almost never mentioned on decluttering channels indeed , or how to stop bringing stuff in in the first place. I implemented your wish list with the price, I already had a wish list but seeing the prices add up really helps realizing how much I can save when I am intentional. Thanks again
Love Kazuo Ishiguro! And I’m so glad it was helpful!! Thanks for the comment! :)
Always on point! ❤
Alles, alles Gute für diesen mutigen Schritt. Ich freue mich Euch weiter zu folgen

Things stopp doing- simplify and live better. Absolutly right!!! I like so much the way U present difficult topics and U are so wonderful honest.
By the way, pls dont worry about supporting your channel. Everyone of us has to survive and if someone doesnt like it, maybe they start a cowdfunding for U before complaining. Happy sunday & thank U🌷
I love your videos. I’m working on not worrying what other people think of me but it’s so hard sometimes.
its hard, but we will make it 😊🎉
Thank you. This was very helpful.
I especially love this video! Some great wisdom here!
Thank you so much for your videos. I always look forward to your tips & find then very helpful😊
Hey there! I don’t think you’ll see this, but I wanted to let you know that better help isn’t as great as they claim. Plenty of clients and therapists have spoken about this, on youtube and other places. I think that encouraging people to be careful with what we bring into our lives is great, and I think that truly means passing on better help. I hope you’re able to look into this and maybe stop working with them!
I’m sure it has its flaws but it’s helped me get access to care where other therapists refuse to take me because they aren’t accepting new patients. It’s the first time I’m actually able to get help after asking for it for years
@@gabygrand I’m so glad you’ve had a good experience with them! I definitely don’t want to discount that. At the same time, many people have legitimate grievances with it and I personally am disappointed when people advertise them without caution
I have tried BetterHelp about 10 times and honestly the counsellors on there have largely been very unprofessional, racist to other groups, inappropriate, or incompetant. It also doesn't help that they are all American and don't approach therapy the way they do here in Europe - it felt to me a lot less structured and formal, more like a chat with a friend. I would not recommend it.
This resonated with me so hard today!! I love your perspective on career changing. It took me so long to let go of my old career identity. Your perspective is so lovely. Permission to change and grow. Also I love that cute white tank top :) I also have an obsession with finding the perfect white Tshirt just like you 😅
I’m so happy and grateful to have found your channel. Your videos give me so much helpful insight for my life. Thank you Elin!
Love it. Some good mantras there ❤
As an older person I must take this liberty to tell You that intuition tells me that You and Your Husband will continue to be a successful loving couple. ❤❤
About free stuff, I mostly accept consumables like something that I could use such as soaps.
Where is the necklace from? It looks so pretty.
Down the road you will probably find that your old career path wasn't wasted and will contribute and be used some how in your future life. Nothing we do gets wasted.
Ì love listening to your wisdom. What are you reading now to give you comfort?
❤
💕
Where do you buy your clothes? I love your style and outfits
Surely u can have a little of that 🍨 come on now!!!
I'm really disappointed that you continue to promote BetterHelp when they are KNOWN to be a horrible Uberification of an essential human need. Please do more research on the issues with them. I'm ok with sponsors, you have to pay your bills, but please be more aware of the issues with that specific one. Given the qualifications you have to evaluate the quality of their service? I expect more from you. There are licensed clinicians ON THIS PLATFORM denouncing them for how they've run them ragged financially and destroyed patient outcomes. Please do better research going forward.
