There are several types of cuisine under the Sichuan umbrella -Chongqing is the hottest one. Apparently though, some parts of Hunan are even more spicy -rather than mala, they use chilli. You can even have salads of chilli
Come on Luka, you been living in Taiwan for awhile now, you should be a hot chili oil expert. 🤣🤣 Red hot chili oil on ice cream is a bit too much tho lol
In Sichuan, you must experience the uniqueness and wonder of the Sichuan Bamboo Sea. It is the largest natural wonder of bamboo forest in the world. The hinterland of Sichuan is a very primitive and ecological place. It is not as modern as Chengdu and Chongqing. It is mainly composed of small towns and villages, mountainous areas, and canyon groups.
The Biggest City You've Never Heard is no longer the correct way to mention Chongqing as many youtubers have been visiting this city from ages. Time to come up with some other nick name for this city :)
Does anyone know Taiwan's official name that is Republic of China, right? Actually during WWII Chong Qing was ROC's War Time Temporary Capital for many years till the war ending, Japan used to bombing that city every couple days until Flying Tigers could defeat them and keep the Chong Qing's people safe
So .. Chong Ching. It would be so fn cool and appropriate if the rules for romanization of non-western languages/scripts were *not* written by "linguists". It's ridiculous. "Qi" should not be pronounced as "Chee". In fact, you can't put a "Q" alone ... it needs a supporting "U" as in Queen. Therefore - Chong Ching. The veggie in the black noodles is snow pea leaves, it’s very popular in Sichuan/chongqing/Yunnan
This is the collab I've been waiting for
Finally!
There are several types of cuisine under the Sichuan umbrella -Chongqing is the hottest one. Apparently though, some parts of Hunan are even more spicy -rather than mala, they use chilli. You can even have salads of chilli
Yes I've heard hunan is crazy spicy! I want to try it!

They have spicy ice cream in Japan as well, but it's very mild and probably more palatable for first timers.

Hey Luke. I used to live in Changzhou China circa 2003-2009. I traveled all over the country. You should consider a trip to xishuangbanna.
Would love to visit there! So many places to see in China
Cool
Don't inhale when eating Sichuan and Chongqing noodles, as it will cause choking.
This is good advice
13:15Trunky want a bun?!
Ooh the spicy mala noodles would have killed me 😭 I think I would die in china if I ate their spicy food.
Haha yes it can be a little too much but there is non spicy options of course :)
I think you got scammed by your guide. He's taking you to the average spots!
Why don't you name some good places?
Are you a China man?
The guide is fukn annoying
Name some super interesting spots
idk what you mean by scammed, literally took him places, but they weren't to your liking. Doesn't mean scammed lol Please tell us these incredible places.
Once you like chillies ,you can never go back
I've heard of this city, so you need to eat somethwere else instead.
;-)
Kaobaozi my favorite
Canadian bacon is just HAM!
I beg your pardon
The hinterland of Sichuan is a very primitive and ecological place. It is not as modern as Chengdu and Chongqing. It is mainly composed of small towns and villages, mountainous areas, and canyon groups.
spicy is all you need
FYI there is Chipotle in Canada 🤟🏻😁
💗
Those Uyghur breads are actually called SAMSA.
Time to rename Chongqing as "You've Never Heard Of", or You'veNHO lol

Your First time visit to China!
Actually I’ve been to China many many times! Just not for a long while
A lot of "street food" videos for your channel. How many hotel toilets have you torn up across the world? How many travel plans changed?
Your about is really canadian lol
I really wish these food tubers would know the rule about not eating with your mouth full...
just be aware that foods in China are full of “chemical wonders”😅
Absolutely saw nothing special like you said, everything looked very average to me. I always prefer to eat, explore on my own.

You're late on Chongqing
Filmed here 6 years ago for the first time
@@LukeMartinFair enough
Greasy spicy noodles followed by greasy spicy noodles. “This is the viral food on Chinese til-tok” is not that great a recommendation 😂
What’s Til-Tok?
my god so much better that Mark Wiens and his fake foodgasms, keep at it Luke!
Tbh i dont really like your "guide" cuz he puts vinegar on everything and makes people put some as well. He has this addiction to them.
You are so late in Chongqing. It is like there were 100 TH-camrs had been in Chongqing already.
Why does that matter? It’s the content that matters.
I filmed my first videos in chongqing 6 years ago! Long before it was a popular place to visit
@@LukeMartinhaha. Tell em’.

That bert-man is so annoyingly annoying!
Luke.. everybody knows and heard about Chongqing already.. for those still haven't heard of it.. they need to get off that stuff.. and get sober..
Not everybody….just because you are fully aware, others may be learning for the first time.
His first video in Chongqing was 6 years ago. This isn’t his first time.
Ur tour guide talks a lot
Forget the food. Buy up toilet rolls for the coming lockdown
nothing in China looked particularly appealing... nonetheless congrats on branching out Luke
