I am a citizen of Nara, Japan. Nara, to the south of Kyoto, was an older capital than Kyoto 1,300 years ago. In Nara City, there are Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Kofukuji Temple, in addition to Todaiji Temple, which is famous for the Great Buddha. In addition, the area is dotted with the ruins of old royal palaces and temples that have been registered as World Heritage Sites. There is also Nara Park, where wild deer can play and interact with humans. These have a different flavor from Kyoto. Also, when you come to Japan someday, I would appreciate it if you could visit Nara as well. Thank you.Arigatou.🤗🍀

It was roughly Oct 20-27. Early October may have some fall foliage starting to appear

Good warm weather. Usually 60-70F.

Did you have to reserve a spot at Kichi kichi Omurice?
I did not reserve ahead of time and asked if they had an opening when I got there. Luckily they had a spot, although I still had to wait an hour. I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time.
