The recording and mixing here really shows that bass part off, really makes it pop...I kind of almost prefer this version to the album, but only almost.
But one has to admit that New York Dolls had the looks in the first half of 70s already, although they definitely have more 70s aesthetics and less effective hairspray. They had the fluffy hair, hats, makeup and one could say drag clothing.
11th street kids in front of 11 year old kids perfect : ) This song has always been great at creating a memory of a hot summer back when, which never quite existed
@Bpatch83 Yeah, It was Hanoi's first american tour and they were pretty much first time in states, so they were not so popular.., still. Los angeles shows were sold out in 30 mins, Also Duff and Slash from GnR bought tickets to that show.. They were very popular in UK,Scandinavia.. And almost superstars in Japan :) Thanks for your comment :)
Thay r the greatest Band eva since back those years howeva my fav Hanoi line always ll be tha line with Razzle with ' em... Rest in peace Razzle, never forgotten, always in my heart ♥ ♥ ♥
Oh my!! One of the best evergreen HR songs and look at the crowd! This was the 1st gigs of the band ever and people dance like maniacs! The same happened during years and also in the farewell party 09 in Tavastia with a couple of generations. AMAZING!! Awesome!
Thanks for posting this. I was trying to remember the name of this song, used to love Hanoi Rocks back in the 80s. They had a real unique sound and they were hugely influential in LA where I from. You weren't cool unless you liked Hanoi Rocks.
This is amazing footage and even with Gyp Casino on drums before Razzle. Thanks a million for this and is there more of this footage somewhere???? Crucial to see all of it!!!
But he is also a really nice and humble guy in person. I had a couple of occasions meeting him randomly in Finland. He is always smiling for rock'n'roll and punk people as like they are his best friends. He also joined up for my friend's punk band rehearsal when my friend told he has been the biggest fan for years for Hanoi music when they met suddenly in the street. Just for the jam and enjoying of raw authentic music in a band camp.
Taitaa olla :) Tuubi Tavastia 28.2.1981 .. En ole varma onko ohjelman nimi rock-ilta vai tuo tuubi.. itselläni se on Tuubi nimellä, ilmeisesti joku musiikkiohjelma :)
Yeah! :) 1985 Sound magazine published a ''MALE SEX OBJECT OF THE YEAR'' voting and Michael Monroe won that title.. All Hanoi Rocks band members won many different titles that year.. But it's too long list to write ;)
Well accidents, happen about everyday And that day was special followed by a heat wave Rush hour just began, and I ran for my life I can't afford to miss the bus Or I'll go and miss all the fuss Cos this time it's a must I'm gonna meet the boys, and Suzy I just can't miss her tonight And I'm so hot - Gee! I'm so hot Well is she tight Is she in need of a lover like me? And there she is now! I gotta go - and give her a great big kiss And now that I'm in her, I don't wanna lose her These moments are takin' me to heaven But they don't seem to take her, anywhere at all I wonder what went wrong Please, tell me what went wrong! Remember all them nights we wroted on the walls that "Punks never die!" Hot love in the nights, the days we spent underground Well accidents happen about everyday And that day was special, 'cos Peter was taken a way, and Suzy, She moved to another town So here I'm all alone in the summer heat Looking at this empty street All there's left is writing on the walls I wonder where all 11th street kids are today Where have they all gone? Remember all them nights we wroted on the walls that "Punks never die!" Hot love in the nights, the days we spent underground Remember all them nights we wroted on the walls that "Punks never die!" Hot love in the nights, the days we spent underground

He's in there, you can see him at one point, just keep looking lol
When everybody proclaimed that Rock'n'Roll was dead... THEY came along!
Man, this song nearly make me cry thinking about those good days.
I wrote on the walls that Hanoi would never die!
Nice
Andy McCoy is a genius songwriter
...remember all the nights we wrote it on the walls that Punks Never Die.
Hanoi had the look and sound before the Sunset Strip blew up trying to be the same.
but better.. weirder Sound,.. Unreplicated.
But one has to admit that New York Dolls had the looks in the first half of 70s already, although they definitely have more 70s aesthetics and less effective hairspray. They had the fluffy hair, hats, makeup and one could say drag clothing.

My mom who died 2015 wrote this. She worked for Europe and Abba in Sweden.
@@vuokkijaba2906 Amazing how we can bridge decades of culture with just a few seemingly meaningless TH-cam comments. RIP to your mom, mate.

What an awesome song. but hardly anyone knows it exists. The Chapter "To Heaven" in Heathlands by Patrick Norrie is a ref to this.
Nice one
Moroe had all the fucking attitude, energy, voice and beauty. So especial guy, love him ♥
