This was just lovely. We forget that these actors were not the same as their characters in real life, hearing them speak is mind blowing. Accomplished actors effortlessly going into character.
one of the best programs ever on tv Ronny Barker was a legend ..sad that so many have passed away all great actors
Where is the narration coming from...a Chinese takeaway?😅
🤣🤣
It's coming from an immigrant.
There don't serve porridge
Well at least he made a pod on our great actors, so let's thank him, for taking the time to do it for us all. Many thanks for showing us all great memories.
@@philippayne4951He speaks better English than a lot of "native" speakers that I know.
The whole cast were superb, my favourites were Sam Kelly, Brian Wilde and Fulton Mackay, perfect choices for their parts in the show.
How was David Jason not mentioned? He was in more episodes than a few of those mentioned, and went on to be one of the most successful ex Porridge actors .
@@krakatoa1200 brian wilde,mr Barraclough, brilliant
A nice touch getting Lukewarm's nephew to narrate it.
I met fulcan mcay in Manchester he shook my hand a real nice man with time for his fans .
Yeah, be great if you got Fulton's name right
@@myriaddsystems Maybe Fulcan is the nice man he met? 😆
@@indianatone218 it’s great that people from other cultures appreciate British comedy
thank you for sharing this lovely video my darling mum loved Ronnie barker in porridge and all other actors thanks for the memories god bless you all ☯️☯️🙏
The greatest British comedies succeed so well because they have SUCH great actors (who are more concerned with appreciation for their craft from their fellows than with achieving some vacuous 'celebrity').
Far too many nasty comments on here, give the man a chance. I enjoyed it.
I loved porridge one of the best comedy's
Timeless
Brilliant memories on this- Excellent ! Why the narrator is speaking down a 20 foot drainpipe is beyond me 😊
Thanks for the memories 😢
Best comedy on TV ever. As funny now as it was when first released
Totally agree 💯
Great video. Many thanks for remembering these fine actors.
When watching these actors at work you notice how long their lines run before a cut. That really tends to draw a viewer in. True professionalism.
Lovely production, thanks for uploading and your research.
Love this so much brought so much joy.❤❤❤
Loved this comedy
...it's pronounced Mr BarraCLUFF..not clow....
Lovely memories still love watching them now having great laughs with all jokes and scams ❤
More click bait pictures which are not true , why can't you be honest and respectful and stop using pictures that are nothing todo with the programme
Narration from the local Chinese. Fulton McCoy and Mr Barroclo😂😂😂😂😂
Great actors sadly missed.
All so sadly missed.
You forgot about Ronald Lacey, he owned a cottage about 1 1/2 miles away from where I live in South Wales!
Ronnie was the real guv'nor of comedy. He could turn his hand to anything.
The bloke who did Mr McKay also played the second Lighthouse keeper in Fraggle Rock.
You forgot to mention that Brian Glover was a professional wrestler under the name Leon Arras, do your research
he was a lovely guy
Wasn't he the sadistic games master in Kes ?
I had forgotten this.
Didn’t mention “Luke Warm” played by Christopher Biggins who is still acting and presenting on TV.
Heslop. ''Brian Glover'' was my fav, apart from the man himself, Fletcher ''Ronnie Barker'' of course
“Who is your favourite character from the Porridge?” whaaaat ? Geeezus
ah glasshoppa
Richard Beckinsale had 2 daughters Katie n Samantha u only said 1of them
George Bruno Money, AKA Zoot Money (born 1942), famous for his Big Roll Band and acting career is still with us. He played a character called Lotterby in the 1979 film titled Porridge. Zoot made his first public band appearance in Bournemoth in November 1961, thereafter he had R&B, soul, jazz and rock bands, in which he played alongside many musician associates. He is also well known as a bit part and character actor. Check out his Wikipedia page.
I thought the narrator was very well informed and very well spoken
😊
apart from the pronunciation of nearly all the names being way off
...seriously bad commentary.....sounds fake and synthesised....
At least he did it and posted accurate information. Reguardless of a synthectic sound it did not seem fake at all.
Sad to see how many died from cancer.
I'm feeling the 'rona coming on after hearing that voice over.
Richard Beckinsale also had another daughter from his first marriage : Samantha. Also an actress.
I liked Fulton Mackay in Local Hero, every beach should have a Fulton Mackay in the same way as every Rock Outcrop should have a Dougie Lord of the Roaches 😂😂
Sad, we have now lost all our great actors, never to come back. They all gave us great fun, and amusement unlike today which is just violence murder and rape. The remarks were comic, and we had great laughs.
So Alun Armstrong is the only one still living at the time of video publication.
Armstrong played a young local lad in the film. Get Carter. Sadly got beat up !
The commentary is DREADFUL!
it aint that good !
Why show fake “after” photos
Needs to do more research into these British tv comedies.
5:49 - who is this girl? And what became of her?
It was 50 years ago and most of them were in their 30s and 40s. Where do you think they will be?
What about Christopher Biggins (Lukewarm)
fake picture😡😡😡
The guy in the thumbnail is, needless to say, not Fulton MacKay but Paul "world's fattest man" Mason from the Mail online!!
Sorry that narration is awful .... computer generated ??
With narration by an AI generated Benny Hill, doing his 'Chinaman' impersonation. What's the time Benny? "Tooth hurty"...😀...
It might have been an idea for the narrator to have discovered how to pronounce most of the names, before uploading the material.
Ah so! Number 69 and flied rice coming up !!!
I just had to turn the narration off....it's utterly hideous! And the thumbnail is pure click-bait. Total rubbish.
So what on earth has the title photograph got to do with this?
Have you ever watched the show? How come you pronounce Barrowclough and McLaren so wrong?
richard beckinsale had 2 girls kate and samantha you only named 1
The answer to this, is that all are dead now.😂😅
This narrator is terrible.
More fake after pictures give it a rest show some respect
STOP USING IMAGES THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ACTORS YOU WILL SOON FIND PEOPLE WILL NOT WATCH ......
The pronunciation of the names is truly awful. It shows you never watched the shows.
I can't comprehend this commentary why get a Chinese guy to narrate
He died in 1987
Who's Barrowclow? Barraclough - pronounced 'Barracluff'.
wtf is going on with that voice lol
What a horrible commentary ????
What a load of bollox
😅WHO IS DOING THE NARRATION A MARTIAN? FFS
Irritating voice over
Audio crap.... i cant watch.... I wont be back
Utter bollocks!
This is total rubbish, falton mchaie died years ago,why do you bother ,
Why do you? You can't even spell his name correctly. Insulting.
@@louwoods9278 see how you dont answer my last comment ,obviously to self important
