Shrooms are the shit. I used to be like you Queen D then i tried shrooms. Best experience Ive ever had in my life. I dont like weed, I have a couple of beers a week. but shrooms? I do that at least have a good trip every few months. It has opened me up to become a more loving, compassionate, powerful, thoughtful, creative and discovered truths about our existence I didnt think possible. I wouldn't trade that experience for all the money in the world. If your shitty, negative, low vibrating person your trips are going to be shitty and reveal how shitty of a person you are. if your a good nature loving, but fearful individual your trips will show you there is nothing to be afraid of and truly embrace yourself for you who you are. My ego, the spoiled little child inside myself is dead beyond my own belief.
I don't. Far and away the cheesiest and least interesting/cathartic sections of the song. IMO no-one's really cracked the problem of vocals over heavy music besides spoken-word style passages of poetry / prose.
@@sirentity465 Right lol?? Notice homeboy doesn't have 1 like on that hot dog shit take of his😂😂😂. Brent's vocals are amazing and it goes so well with Mastodons music.
The Evolution of Mastodon has been crazy! So different but so the same. I love Brans voice. Such a beast to play and sing at the same time stuff as technical as he’s playing
I've always read these guys don't put on a good live show, but after seeing them in Cincinnati a few months ago, I honestly have no clue where that rumor came from. Whole show was amazing!
Blitzberg86 if you look at older performances they can't do vocals well live. Like it's really bad. But recently they've sounded really good live. I just saw them in April and even Brent who's usually the weakest voice live was killing it.
[Verse 1: Brann Dailor] Running outside the Nazca Lines You know I see you all in white Hoping you'll grow the fruitful vines And the rain to give us life [Solo: Brent Hinds] [Verse 2: Brann Dailor] Violence born within my mind I know it always takes its time Climbing inside the cosmic eye And forgive the enemy [Chorus: Brann Dailor & Troy Sanders] I wonder who I am Reflections offer nothing I wonder where I stand I'm afraid of myself [Verse 3: Brann Dailor] Watching you crumble to the ground Made me want to run away Helping you find the golden crown Made it easier to stay [Chorus: Brann Dailor & Troy Sanders] I wonder who I am Reflections offer nothing I wonder where I stand I'm afraid of myself [Bridge: Brent Hinds] At the bottom of the mountain Unaware of my surroundings Separation from my spirit Let the trees fall where they may [Chorus: Brann Dailor & Troy Sanders] I wonder who I am Reflections offer nothing I wonder where I stand I'm afraid of myself
Yes!!! My favorite off EoS! Kinda bummed I had to leave before this song, but my parents did end up meeting Bill, and we all had a good time! They will always kick ass!
My definitive favorite track of the album. " Watching you crumble to the ground Made me want to run away Helping you find the golden crown Made it easier to stay" ...I can relate to this verse in so many ways.
@@disasterpiece4584 Actualy there is.... Mastodon covers a lot more ground end emotional spectre for me than Tool. I found Tool not dangerous enough. Production wise, song wise...and simply cant get into the colour of Keenans voice. Gave them a lot chances....listened 10 000 days and Lateralus many times, Aenima not so much, tried this new one few times.....it simply doesnt work for me. I have huge respect for the band and fanbase but its not ment to be.
awesome.. so many bands have shit visuals on tour (especially my girlfriends country bands), glad to see one of my fave bands keep it simple (IE omrts) and awesome (eos). Hope to see you again on the fall leg boys. Keep up the good work.
Yea saw them earlier this summer the show was great but still no new songs or even new arrangements of old material. Kind of disappointing really. So much talent and creativity just on rinse & repeat mode for over a decade now. sad and tragic really but hopefullythe new record will make up for it in spades (if it ever is released)
I went down to see the Nazca Lines on my way through from Ariquippa but the tour was shut down due to Greenpeace carving up the Earth with their favorite anti whaling slogans
I wonder if they took the title and song meanings from Stephen Kings continuation of the Shining where there are "steambreathers" who feed off the souls of people with the "shine"
A trip with no drugs...10/10
King Buzzo - Amen to that
This trip with drugs 20/10

I love when Brann sings.

They were great at Carolina Rebellion too. That's where I got into their music and decided to listen to more
Hey I was there
poopschmoop yeah I saw them in NYC and it was one of the best metal shoes I've ever been to. They all killed it vocally
Cool man. It was my first concert. I was pretty glad I was able to see sound garden.
[Verse 1: Brann Dailor]
Running outside the Nazca Lines
You know I see you all in white
Hoping you'll grow the fruitful vines
And the rain to give us life
[Solo: Brent Hinds]
[Verse 2: Brann Dailor]
Violence born within my mind
I know it always takes its time
Climbing inside the cosmic eye
And forgive the enemy
[Chorus: Brann Dailor & Troy Sanders]
I wonder who I am
Reflections offer nothing
I wonder where I stand
I'm afraid of myself
[Verse 3: Brann Dailor]
Watching you crumble to the ground
Made me want to run away
Helping you find the golden crown
Made it easier to stay
[Chorus: Brann Dailor & Troy Sanders]
I wonder who I am
Reflections offer nothing
I wonder where I stand
I'm afraid of myself
[Bridge: Brent Hinds]
At the bottom of the mountain
Unaware of my surroundings
Separation from my spirit
Let the trees fall where they may
[Chorus: Brann Dailor & Troy Sanders]
I wonder who I am
Reflections offer nothing
I wonder where I stand
I'm afraid of myself
Thank you

When I last saw Mastodon, this was their closing song, and as far as I'm concerned, this should be their closer from here on out.
Probably my favorite song off the album

Many people are experiencing a spiritual awakening. This is apparent in many band's newest albums from Tool, 3teeth, Nevermore and Mastodon.
