Although there are always (medical) bills to pay, I feel it was indeed in great part the measure of the man. It's one thing to continue a private battle living with cancer, quite another to demonstrate what living with cancer looks like for performers on a public stage, to use that forum to encourage and support others, raise awareness. Not to mention the love he would have received in return.
Mike and Micky said in an interview that Peter was the best accomplished musician out of the bunch when they first formed. Micky is like the Energizer Bunny. I love Micky’s voice.
It's all good. All play. All sing - even a little footwork and humor. All thoroughly entertain. I just caught the clip shared on TH-cam wherein Peter reflected had the men initially been assigned musical instruments according to the ability of each, it would have been David on Drums, Mike, on Bass (Guitar), Peter on (Acoustic) Guitar, and Micky, lead vocals.
Maybe he just missed this show. ? He did do this 2016 tour promoting the 50 th anniversary and their album, Good Times. He did resign from the Monkees after this tour. He’s been touring with his band and a short tour with Micky called Mike and Micky.
I love this with Peter and Micky. Peter could really sing. And don't forget he was already battling cancer.

Love them but so sad without Davy🥺
Eternity awaits us all. I'm inclined to think David has been smiling from above.
Is Mike no longer touring with them?
He's too busy; he's a CEO of something or other.

Greg Hohnholt he retired from the CEO position.
He announced his retirement a couple of months ago. The current tour he’s on with Micky in Australia is the last one.
Mike passed away December 10, 2021 after a long illness. He did tour w/ Micky last year.
I've never seen peter play the marraccas
Tambourine, yes, but me too, like you, not the Maracas, er here Maraca. Nice to see them played separately, their different styles, rhythms.
