- 10 minutes of the Huntress humming her song. Its a russian song called "Bayushki Bayu".
The loop is actually longer than I expected (around 6 minutes) and seems to get more and more freaky over time.
You rarely get this far into the loop in normal gameplay, though.

Actually, they teach children on the basis of fear.
Like, this song is about not sleeping on the edge of the bed, or in places that are in danger of falling, saying that if they make a gray wolf it will bite them or take them away, so they do not get hurt.
Personally, I find them really beautiful, scary and incredible, it's a kind of stupid fascination of mine.

Overall, this is what Anna was sung too. After her mom got penetrated by an elk antler. She sung this as she was literally dying. As Anna murders all her victims of the Entity. She sings her mothers last lullaby, while trying not to sob

This old Russian lullaby IS A TEACHING for little children not to sleep on the edge of a bed, or in house's inappropriate places or a hungry grey wolf will bite them painfully. It's a care for child safety, that through fear prevents possible children's injuries.

It's not as creepy as I thought it was gonna be. I think she's laughing at the happy memories with her mother when she was alive. The laughs don't sound sinister, just a mix of happy and sad. Her voice is very beautiful. I think I like her best out of all the killers in the game.

After seeing her tome and reading her perk descriptions the huntress is actually terrifying.
She was such a ruthless, effective killer that the entity had to weaken her in order to give the survivors a chance but even then her bloodlust and desire to catch and kill her prey is so intense that she can momentarily break free from the entity and become completely uncontrollable.

I love how her singing is realistic. Its not a constant loop like you'd think, she pauses and takes breaths every now and again, her humming becomes more menacing when idle for to long, and she switches between singing and humming constantly throughout. Love that level of detail in a game! I'm confused about 7:53 though. Why does she make that noise??

she makes the same sound around much earlier. its a very long loop that uses the incoherence of her lullaby to hide the restart. if the unsure humming that follows it is any indication, something grabber attention, then she lost focus.

I'm gonna guess this was the tune Anna's mother hummed to her while she was dying. Perhaps that's why sometimes it sounds like she's trying not to cry.

AyameVioletNinja I think of it as she's trying to summon her mother, become her mother or try to relieve the past cause she has the mask which her mother made for her and the axe her mother used the day she was killed.
My guess is on that its some misguided attempt to calm the children she wants to take home, like the mask which is also intended to calm children.
Elizabeth Comstock I like that idea. This humming tune is what her mother would sing so humming it to summon her or even become her is extra heartbreaking. Anna's only connection to humans and humanity itself was her mother. On some sense maybe she knows what she's doing is wrong so she's trying to become the good woman or mother was, or summon her for guidance again.

I like that they gave her a solid build (talking about her appearance) rather than a completely waifish physique. She's tall and built which lends credibility to her hunting prowess and makes her more intimidating. More times than not they just make the females look scrawny or curvaceous with no muscle to speak of. Unless the killer is completely supernatural, I never can buy that a tiny framed person is physically overpowering frantic victims trying like hell to survive.
Huntress looks like she could maul people... and what a singing voice she's got! ♥

She is mad. If you read her backstory, she tried to care for young daughters she'd take from the families she slew, wanting to raise her own... but they all died because she had no understanding of caring for someone.
She IS losing her sanity as she hums the song. That much is true.
The song resets every time she finds someone. So the longer sections of the song only play when she hasn’t found someone for a long time and is growing more frustrated and losing what little control she has.
The reason this is so relaxing is because it's a LULLABY. It's supposed to help you calm down.
And then theres the fact that a mass murdering huntress is humming the song as shes brutally murdering 4 other people

This is just beautiful. I play DBD myself but I love the Huntress. Her story is so sad and the tone of her voice in this is so sad. It doesn't scare me at all, her lullaby. I've played killer with her so much I've memorized the humming tune. It's just so calming. I've fallen asleep to this before.

i have had a love hate relationship with DbD for the past few months. I've been on and off with it due to player base. A friend said to try out the huntress since she just came out. and honestly, I love her Character. her map is absolutely gorgeous and reeks of atmosphere, and her design is pretty original. I love the hum so much. it's so relaxing, yet sounds so distressed in some way, as if there's some deeper meaning to her hum.
That's what her mother used to sing to her before she died,it's a russian melody.

It's a mixture between sad, creepy and soothing. Like, I know why since Anna's mother was killed by an elk antler while she was humming the song, that's why it's sad. The singing is also very realistic with pauses to breathe and then continue. You can tell that real effort and emotions came into this since the holding back of the sobs sound very realistic. Overall I love the hum, the game and the Huntress.

Mileena I personally don't think the movie format would work. Especially with having to focus on all of them? I'd prefer the series format for something like this. Although a movie doesn't sound like a bad idea, you'd just have to make sure it can work.
i absolutely love playing huntress, her lullaby is so so so soothing i always hum while playing as her, but i seriously had no idea about her backstory and how sad it was :( finally realized after reading the comments. i really like that her singing is realistic and not just a computer programmed loop.

In response to the description, I've played some games against the Huntress long enough to hear all parts of the lullaby, and it's honestly scary as shit hearing her humming the song as deranged as she does after 3:25, the laughing definitely does not help

When I was playing the game for the first time and I heard that she laughs I was scarred because I thought it was the person I was playing with but no it was apart of the lullaby- her voice is beautiful and personally I really love her as a killer though I don’t play killer but she’s my favorite to go against and just in general because it’s unique how one of her perks have something to do with her humming and her past as well.

Nurse went crazy due to asylum patients and killed them all.
Michael Myers was misunderstood.
The Hag was kept in a swamp and had her skin ripped off one by one, and she lost her sanity.
The Doctor was taught that knowledge was powerful, and he studied others for mind control.
Huntress saw her own mom die due to an elk's hostile antlers.
And so on, all these people ever wanted were good lives, and all they got was a punch in the face. The universe didn't treat them kindly. Whoever this Entity is needs to stop being a coward and show itself to the survivors. If it wants them dead so badly why not kill them itself?

These killers are deranged, whos "punishment" is to slaughter for all eternity.

Honestly Anna's backstory is really sad. Most of the killers are brutal cold killers but Anna is a daughter who has to watch her mom die in a hunt. It says she feels pain and sorrow for every little girl that dies from starving she captures and that all she wants is a little one of her own. Honestly she missed out on her childhood I wish I could run up and hug her and let her know it's okay. I'll even let her sit on my lap and I'll read her a bedtime story give her the life she didn't have and maybe even a child

So theory this is with little proof but some the huntress hums her lullaby for two reasons to deter prey(survivors) and two to find her mother. So Ana has seen that people who are dead or deceased can appear here so she thinks if her mother is in the realms she will hear the Lullaby and know that is Ana and they will be reconnected Benedict baker states that “But her knack for tracking, capturing and killing is something else here. There is something else in her too, she seems to seek something.”

I like how In between some parts you can hear a twinge of frustration and annoyance and then small maniacal laughs, absolutely beautiful work on her voice!
all though still mentally deranged i think her stories the most understandable, all she wants is someone to love ever since her mother passed and she had to live alone. you could imagine pretty much anyone would go insane after being alone for so long

I haven’t been playing dbd since launch like a lot of people have (I mainly watched streams of it back when it launched), started playing in about 2018 when Legion launched. I was playing against Huntress earlier and I’ll never forget this god forsaken humming. Very calming but terrifying at the same time.

I just recently got the game and she happened to be the first monster I faced. Just stuck out a lot and was really into so looked up more bout her. This video actually helps with my insomnia. just get like a relax feel with the humming and the wood sounds. So kinda helps to try to stop thinking and just sleep.

This is actually quiet sad when you think about it. Anna's mother probably had happy lyrics to go with this like house the sun would shine again or how they would find a safe place to live and Anna would fall asleep dreaming happy dreams (as it says in her wiki) but then one day an elk took all those happy dreams away along with her mother. She would probably hum this to herself every night and cry herself to sleep. But once she grew older and started to take little girls under her own damaged wing, she would him this to them because she now knew that the happy lyrics her mother sung were lies and she doesn't want to lie to the little girls because they end up dying anyways. Thus why the call the chapter: Mother's Dwelling. Because she dwells too much on how much her mother lied to her
Actually the song is about not sleeping on the edge of the bed or wolves will drag you out of your bed deep into the forest and eat you.

Allen Tanton She never lied to her. Anna was sad that her mother died. She lost her hope and her loss of hope turned her into a psychopath like the others. Also Mother's Dwelling means it was her mom's property, not her lies.

How do you say about this? She’s creepy yes and at the same time, I find her to be rather attractive in a way. Her lullaby sounds sad as (in her bio) her mother died before her eyes. But somewhere through the middle of her lullaby, she laughed and chucked a little, which sounds eerie and creepy. But also, it provided the players some insight about the joyful moments of her and her mother. My thoughts? Probably the best killer amongst all in the game.
