Yep, I remember Spaghettio's but been a long time and now I'm gonna have to get a can and try them. I got a can of the beef ravioli and beefaroni in the cabinet. Might even do a CCT tomorrow with one. Thanks for sharing.
I have a SAK sd. My keychain flashlight of choice is the nitecore tiki 300 lumens. I was thinking of up grading my sd to a SAK Mini champ. I love the ceramic scorpio mini strikers. Nice kit Joe.i think i would favor the P51 over the P38
That was great! You always make it fun. Keep Cool (I live here too). Glad the new job is going well. Would like to see a video on beating the summer heat. Dress, carry and dangers.
I'm glad you posted, man. Because I gotta slap a harness or 2 together. And thought of your vids. And I've kinda wondered about the performance if these 2 myself...
If you turn it the other direction your cutting the can after the initial puncture. It will also leave a much cleaner cut. The direction you're turning it means you puncture the can each time you turn it.
@@gijr2003 Turning the can the other direction allows you to continue the cut from the first puncture instead of punching the can on each twist of the wrist.
I have seen a vid of a guy that after punching can he turns the can while P-51 cuts the lid like an electric can opener. But I think he has strong wrists too?
I have been using a FRED (Fucking Ridiculous Eating Device) for a long time. I always have a few in the kitchen drawers, in the cars and even in my backpack. The spoon does work well (used one quite a fair bit) along with the bottle opener. I have even used one as a fishing lure. The Australian army still get them in the ration packs.
Great Video and a great topic. (By the way good to hear your having fun with the new Job.) I carry a P-38 on my work Key Ring. I have a P-51 tucked into the Box for my Gas Stove as well as another taped to the bottom of my Svea 123r. I haven't had the chance to work with a FRED. That being said I still prefer to use the Can opener on my Swiss Army Knife. It's simple to use, easy to hold on to and you get more than enough leverage to cut through any Can.
I'm more of a Chef Boyardee ravioli guy myself. One good thing about O's and CB over a Mnt House meal, ya can eat them cold and you dont have to add water to them to eat them. I'm still gonna suggest that you dig out your SAK take the can Opener force spin. Just to test it out.😉. Stay cool!😎👍🧀
I have never even thought about getting one, maybe I would get the p-51 , but I always have my Swiss champ and it’s a jack of all trades, good review though
I still carry my P-38 from over 45 yrs ago in the mil, in a pinch it still works, thx for the vid.
Thanks!
Great video Sir! I will be sharing on my channel.
Thanks!

I have them both and the P51 is much better...

Awesome.
Good review Matt, Have a Great Weekend!
Thanks! 👍
I didn't realize I had a knockoff fred and it bent so I didn't replace it. The fred has a spoon. The P51 is smaller. Good review.
Thanks!

1100wing What??

I am gonna have to experiment with that...

Great video brother with those things size does matter for gripping lol I'm glad the new job is working out for you!
Yes it does. Thanks!
I have and use a P51 but I like the F.R.E.D. more, More leverage = fewer strokes to open a can. Plus a tiny spoon for eating caviar... LOL
It is pretty much of a toss up for me, but both beat a P38 hands down
FRED you don't have a bottle opener on the P-38 & P-51 for your Beer .
I also carry a p-38 on my key chain(40 years) it is a bit small but works well.
It will work in a pinch. Hell of a lot better than nothing

It is really the best one to have

I have heard that those work pretty well, I may have to try it

I am definitely can opener challenged lol
I use the spoon thingy to get the lid open so I dont cut my self
I am kind of can opener challenged so I need all the help I can get lol
Omg I still love spaghetti Os and meat balls. I add a hot dog and shredded mozzarella
They are still good lol
I have never even thought about getting one, maybe I would get the p-51 , but I always have my Swiss champ and it’s a jack of all trades, good review though
Just don't get a P38 lol
On the FRED can you squeeze the hinge with pliers so it is not so floppy?
You could probably do that but it is not really needed
How many of us are gonna grab a can of Spaghetti-o’s and see how quickly we can open a can? 1. Me.
I'm gonna have to grab one to see if they are still as good as I remember as a kid, been a long time since I've had them.
Lol...who else but me would have timed that. Yep, they are still pretty darn good even as an adult lol
Mmm Campbell’s meatballs the meat we like to eat... or so the advert went 😃
Not really meat...lol
You could have done this on canteen cup Tuesday
Yep, sadly I am working on Tuesdays now...
FloridaBoy Survival gotta make that money
Franco American made spaghetti Os when I was a kid
I remember that
I hate the P-38 it's hard to use and it hurts my fingers i use the P-51 .
After using the P51 i will never go back to the P38. In fact i cant even find my P38 lol
Where can I get those?
Try Wal Mart
Tastes like hearburn
Lol kind of
Beefaroni is superior, sir
Yes, yes it is lol
I'll pass on this guy.
Cmon, they are great lol
Uh Oh Spaghettio
I love those lol
