I just watched chuang 2020 again but still don't know how xueyao got F in the theme song evaluation in chuang 2024,which I find quite surprising regarding her skill.She got A in chuang 2020 beating the judge Nene who got C in that same competition,I think the main reason is that she has stopped being a trainee for like 2-3 years i guess and shifted her focus to a more chinese style historical dance or the vocal aspect.Even though this year theme song and vocal was much easier than the first season,I hope she can prove herself once again.Hope you guys root for her because I think this is really her last chance to debut along with Rei
Nene was in class A and she decided to take 3 days to practice the theme song which meant she had to move to lower grade class. She passed successfully and some trainees said that if the lyrics weren’t in Chinese (which she had to remember every single word to sing even though she didn’t know Chinese at all back then), she could have easily taken 1 day to practice and be in class A as well. I was surprised to see Xueyao in class F too but then I watched her focus cam and I noticed that she seemed to forget some lyrics which are in English and that’s probably the reason why. Her dance was perfect though.

The year 2020 is a Chinese song. It is normal for Nene to get a C. Nene is a Thai person of Chinese descent. But she had never studied Chinese before. Thai-Chinese people born in Thailand often cannot speak Chinese. Including myself who can't speak Chinese, try making the year 2024 in Thai. A lot of foreigners will be in class F because they have to focus on Thai language.
Have you not watched other Chuang shows they always have a few traditional type stages in the first evaluation round. And song choice, group formation and theme is not entirely up to them, it comes from Production Team. Previous season contestants already said it. At least they're singing and dancing (the bare minimum requirement for a girl group) and not just standing still while singing🤗
Maybe you don't understand. For foreign trainees, this is not necessary, but for Chinese trainees, knowing how to sing and dance traditional songs is a huge advantage compared to others. At the same time, in the following rounds there will also be at least one traditional Chinese stage, which foreign trainees will be very hard to complete well. Therefore, when they have the opportunity, they will not hesitate to show off this skill immediately to affirm their position and win the hearts of more Chinese fans.
