Any suggestions on what to do if you've successfully gone through all of the steps up to the point of opening a second terminal to test sudo authentication with the key, but in the test terminal window when you use sudo, it prompts for a password but the key never flashes... and wont take the sudo password. I can't get past this point for some reason. Issuing sudo never actually calls the Yubikey. I've verified a dozen times that the sudo file at /etc/pam.d has the proper syntax for this.
What distro are you using?
@@sysadmin102 I’ve tried it on both vanilla Debian and on Kali with the same results. I feel like it’s some change made within the newest Debian release… this process worked for me a couple of years ago on Debian 11 without problem.
Hello, good video, I want to ask you, the key has to have a pin to install it and if I use it in Kali, can I continue using it in other accounts
The PIN just so not everyone can access the key without the PIN. The PIN stored on Yubikey, not on your computer
Thanks for your answer, but I can still continue using it in email or Windows, etc.
@@PepperGamesCo I don’t understand your question. The key is just a second form of authentication. You can use it with whatever system or program supports it.
