This is a case optimising 6mins of useful info.Thanks.There certainly is confusion out tgere and whats worse is half the installers should not be installing.
Hi Alan, Are you still planning on making a video on the benefits and details of using the ET112 on the Grid AC input? I would really love to see more information on this. Thanks again
You mention using either an Energy Meter or CT clamp. What is the difference between these 2? I favour a CT clamp as it doesn't involve interfering with the grid connection. Plus, my connection point is over 30m away so a CT clamp is easier to wire to the MP with a twisted pair of wires. Thanks
The ET112 is rated as being more accurate than a CT clamp and I can run the RS 485 over long distances. I don't have any real preference. I know Victron do a 20m cable option and the price is similar to the ET112. FYI I haven't found much info on the Victron CT clamp option and hope to evealuare one soon.
I like this, can you make a video explaining it for AC coupling? I want to buy victron Quattro 48V and use it to charge my batteries when i have excess solar because I don’t want to feed it to the grid. Then later use that power from the battery to power the house equipments etc. It would be nice to get a step by step install process in English as the ones i see are in Spanish. I cant use mppt for my setup as the house has a leased solar on the roof, so i can only use the produced solar.
@@alanfalck1184 thats awesome, if your able to make a step by step version of how to setup the ESS to self-consumption mode when there is excess solar so I don’t feed it to the grid, what parts you need, etc, i was going to maybe switch to electric combi boiler, but the are all over 19kw and I don’t want to buy 2x 15kva Quattro just to run it lol.

I’ve done a video on how the et112 is used.
@@eliotmansfield thanks. 👍🏻

Hi, that's exactly what my system does (self-consumption mode they call it). I'll be making more videos on this setup soon.
