The daddys money comments are always my favorite ones lol! Some folks don't realize that you don't have to do the 9-5 thing to be "successful" in life:) Keep doing you and cya out there sometime!
always so fun haha but agreed! doesnt mean you cant be 'successful' and doesnt mean you dont work more than a 9-5 😆 and likewise, hope to see ya out here one day!
Rarely does the 9-5 lead to a successful life or a fulfilling one for that matter. I commend all the nomads out there exploring what life has to offer. Some day I will have my time being on the move
that paddle commute to the cafe was really fun to see. it does seem like self-discipline and being able to keep the balance between fun/work, structure/spontaneity is important for creator nomads.
I love that you showed all this! I make TH-cam videos in a similar spirit as you about living and traveling full time on the road with my two cats and I really appreciate how you represented working full time while also doing what we do! I think a lot of people don't realise how much of it really is a full time job and that, while we may be able to be anywhere, that doesn't mean we can just do what we want, when we want - that theres so much hard work and routine that goes into making this work. Sending love to Mexico from my little corner in the mountains!
Casey LaDelle in Bend Oregon in case you need a tow in the Bend area. He has a website and towes for free if he can record and use it on his website. Just an FYI because I heard you saying you were camping in the Bend area and would be there in the winter months.
I just discovered your channel, and I wanna say I am so impressed with your videography! You are really a step ahead of most other van lifers for sure and even better than most of the other channels I've seen. I'm looking forward to exploring more of your channel and watching more of your adventures.
I do too!! And to compare leaving your dog at home when you're at work is like comparing apples to oranges!! Because I'm sure a lot of people would take their animals with them to work if they are allowed - but it's just not happening 😕 well not true some lucky folks can and do!! But when you're out in a car/camper/van - you are already outside, right - you're your own boss, you make the rules!?!? And can-do things that involve them a whole lot more!! Also, in a Home/House, they do have a lot more room to roam around as opposed to sitting in a dark car/camper/van. OOh no excuse me they do leave a small window open for them. 🙄
Your camper is impressive! We are in the middle of a remodel of ours and the painting alone was so tedious. What is that fold out table you use outdoors? It looks nice. Cheers
You are so real, so genuine, so endearing. I have really enjoyed your videos, as well as your appearance in Maddy's video (which is where I first saw you). You are truly one of the most likable persons I have ever encountered on YT. And you are so pretty! Thank you for all that you do for us, and for all that you share with us. Keep being wonderful you! ❤
I don’t have any assumptions. I really like your channel. I have learned a lot as I get closer to a full time nomad. Your carpentry skills are awesome as well as your fearlessness.
Not happy to have left her but it was too far and not a dog friendly cafe, per say, so she stayed behind after a long morning outside :) but yes, I have felt very safe here and have not had a single issue!
Well done! You got a good routine flowing. You sure know how to narrate have a good eye for calligraphy photography with lovely relaxing music bring your own personal story nicely together a true art form!
Happy to see you on Bahia Concepcion. Nomadico is one of my favorite little restaurants there. Wondering which beach you’re camped on? We spend the winter camped on our favorite beach there in our truck camper. Retired, so I do get to choose how I spend my day 😊. It is so beautiful here and the people are muy bueno! Enjoy Baja!
It was so fun there! And I was near, but not on Santispac :) I'm sure if you are there winter-round, that you were nearby, what a small world :) I hoep that you have a lovely winter down here as well!
I love following your journey in BC, and I particularly liked the way you led us though your day with work and breaks. It truly is a beautiful place to spend the Winter and I look forward to your next installment. Be safe and enjoy.
Most content creators are constantly in work mode and have terrible work-life balance. I sleep two feet from my With those who live in a rig, it's even harder because living on the road takes way more mental bandwidth, as there are so many things you have to think about that those who live in a building/ house don't have to.... they hear you say you lost heart in your vehicle in freezing temps. They only see that as an inconvenience since they don't put vehicle and home together... they just think of how their 20-minute commute to work would be annoying without heat... not a big deal though. I live full-time in a semi, and most think i sit in a chair all day spaced out listening to music... that would make me end up in prison or dead..getting to travel the country... even if i did have the time to stop, there won't be truck parking close enough to these beautiful areas... plus, i only drive at night, I love living on the road, but it's not an easy life. It has to be a way of life for you. Recently found your channel and love your content, thanks for putting in all the hard work it takes to share it with us!
You've got building skills so why not throw together 2 step covers with gray outdoor carpet for baby dogs ease of getting in and out of trailer without of risk of ripping off a nail and you not having to pick her up. 2 pieces with eyelets installed and simple litt bungee cords will be an easy do for you. God Bless you 2 and keep you safe
she is actually afraid of stairs/steps that she can see through in general, and even when I have put something down, she jumps over the entire set haha I dont mind picking her up, and preventing her from jumping down out of the truck or camper and hurting her lil bones over time :)
That's understandable...most dogs hate those types of steps or grate bridges. Maybe a set of retractable ones are in the future if the budget allows. I remember on one video you were worried about going thru a washout and ripping your current ones off.
They look strong but if they hamper your 4 wheel abilities....that's a damper. I'm doing a cargo trailer conversion and gonna put air ride independent suspension under it to try to achieve some good offroad capabilities with the additional height. I like your set up but the camper just isn't enuff room for me and I had to have my 3ft by 3ft shower.
Love your content! How do you like your Yota? I was wondering if you had any suggestions/search engines you’d recommend for finding a 1st gen Tundra with the 4 WD and double cab. We’re having a heck of a time finding one out here on the west coast at all.
Alexandria, question, is it an issue having permanent internet access while on the road, I am planing to live full time on the road for a few months, but I want to make sure I ll be able to have internet access if it were possible all the time, even in real remote areas, because I ll be working on line at least 4-6 hours per day while on the road. I am not a computer wizard, but I can certainly manage technology pretty well, so it doesnt bother me to start using new technolgy should need be, all the tips you can give to me on this regard will be very welcome dear, rgs
I know I'm late to this party - but what is that device you brought with your laptop. Assuming it's some kind of hot spot but can you share more? I'm looking for ways to help boost my connectivity on the road since I'll be uploading/working as I travel [with my doggo so can't just tuck into libraries :)] Thank you for sharing!
Oh the beautiful mountains are just breathtaking. I miss my day's traveling. Tara and you look like your on an awesome adventure. Just inquiring. Is it safe these days traveling alone in New Mexico right now?????. ❤❤❤
Remote working is still work. However, it does have its benefits, like going to Mexico with your office. It sure beats a 9-5 office desk or physical labor to me.
Being a full time creature would be kinda boring cause I don't have a lot of patience but I have to cause I just set in my recliner all the time cause I can't walk very well I love watching your TH-cam videos and even though I'm a lot older than you I'd be happy with someone as beautiful as you are
When you say the video is due at 4:30 am, is that a self imposed deadline or one set by someone else? What would happen if you didn't get it up by then?
Set by a partner that I am working with for any given video during a week :) If I weren't to get them a video on time, the release date would either be dropped or delayed, severely impacting and limiting my income and the desire for partners to work with me again in the future
Haha perhaps! I won’t claim to know their situations, but I don’t know that large creators have the ability to bring in far greater incomes than I can :)
Gee Dear I can see how hard your working, but look on the bright side, your not pouring concrete or working some job that leaves you longing for food and bed, or at some desk with people that you don't really like, and yeah I know that maybe the grass isn't greener on the other side of the hill, I wonder if the water is bluer where you are. I'm sure you don't mean to sound like your slaving away at making a video that supports your travels and leisure time, or the views and location but it kinda feels like that. Or you could talk about the conditions of the road, the weather, places you might have stopped that your felt safe in or at, and maybe how you found your parking place and what the natives are like, you could maybe even show a few shots of you playing on the beach that aren't so far away that it looks like a random adventurer that happened to be passing by. I realize it doesn't take seven days working every waking hour to produce a video and I plan to start doing it myself one day, but until then, remember your not flipping burgers working for some asshole manager who could care less how you feel about whatever.
Drop your assumptions about being a full-time 'creator' here👇🏼
About how I figured, I don't know how you guys do it.
Lots of work, but SO worth it if you love it like I do :)
You're glorified vagabonds and you look better then you smell.

Enjoy the sound of rain on the roof.
I hate when Nomads have dogs and leave them shut up in a truck/camper/van. They’d like to get out too.
She wasn’t allowed at the cafe, just like most dogs stay home when their people go to work :) she is with me and outside 99.9% of the time
As a nomad I hate how people leave their dogs at home all day to go to work. My pooch has never been happier
