Ikr to me the relationship of shirou and kotomine was always more natural than the one between kirei and kiritsugu (they felt more like natural enemies...while the relationship between shirou and kotomine was that but because they were so similiar yet opposites at the same time it always felt more natural) that and Imo shirou fighting kotomine was always more iconic even thought the kiritsugu-kotomine fight was awesome
I agree. You play Fate and hate Kirei, you play UBW and say he got what he deserved. And then you play Heaven's Feel, and you realize that both of those were true, but he was still the perfect counterpart to Shirou, and it was such an awesome feeling when the amped-up version of Church on the Hill played and you realized he wasn't dead.
The Illusion placement is really good especially considering how Shirou remembers Sakura during the climax of their battle and starts punching Kirei in order to live.

The fight where the original version of this plays is still one of the most metal fucking things I have ever seen in my life, and I'm hype as hell for it to get animated.
...holy shit, I just realized, this remix is basically following the arc of the fight. Angry metal at first, and then the piano notes from This Illusion kick in for Shirou remembering Sakura and remembering why he's fighting, and then it goes up an octave and mixes in the This Illusion melody as a shred solo for Shirou's burst of heroic resolve. God, Crow's Claw are geniuses.

I still prefer the original (well, the Realta version). I'm not a fan of how this version strips out the electronic elements. It's the same problem I have with a lot of Emiya remixes.

It could happen as Muramasa is simply treating the summoning from the Alien God as a regular contract. He doesn't really care to align with it the the apostles seem to be disposable when they've finished their roles
man, if they used Light and Darkness for this fight i would have been so happy. i also would have been happy if they gave the fight the time and effort it deserved instead of Saber vs Rider getting all the movies budget
Imagine FGO introduce us a Lostbelt 7.5 where Kirei is the final boss (like limbo) and we just summon Saber Muramasa and let the two having a fist fight while this music is on.
Unfortunately the game already has an OST remake of Light and Darkness, and it manages to be worse than the original. Unless they decide to make another version, since the game has several versions of some OSTs

It does have a DW feel to it. It's funny because Nasu came up with the idea of Fate stay night after being inspired by a work that featured a fictional battle royale between historical japanese figures which is very similar to the concept of Dynasty warriors.

I personally think the fight was great, but it could have been more gritty and less cinematic/over the top. Spring Song was otherwise near perfect.
