Two-Digit Floors! | BRAND NEW 2019 Schindler 5500's @ Priestgate Library, Mitsubishiville CBD

This library opened about one month after Waitohi/Johnsonville Library did, and I was actually able to attend the opening day (16 January 2020), but I wasn't able to film any of the elevators because I didn't have my camera on me. I have since come back one month later to do all of them! And this library is rather interesting - all the floors have 2 digits! So GF instead of just G, and MZ instead of just M. I think the extra letters are a bit unnecessary, as even the average Joe should know that M stands for Mezzanine! Nevertheless, these are some really nice elevators with the UK voice (again, with such a complicated floor numbering system, why?) and typical Linea 300 fixtures. The UK voice actually has voice announcements for the A floors (sadly I didn't manage to catch them on camera), but (as expected) no announcements for the bottom 5 floors (B2-MZ). These announcements are borrowed from the new Asian voice. These elevators are actually very narrow but very long, with a front door and a rear door (the F floors & GF use the front door, but the A floors, LG, MZ, B1 & B2 use the rear door). The layout of the entire library is basically similar to Waitohi, except twice as big and the back bit is pretty much nearly a mirror image of the front. All of the elevators here were installed ~August/September 2019 as you sometimes need a few months of testing to make sure that the elevators actually work. They were initially planning on installing OTIS ReGen's here, but eventually switched to Schindler 5500's at the last minute for a reason I do not yet know (probably reliability issues with the ReGen's). Likely not. I haven’t got all my videos out yet though, as my home WiFi isn’t really fast enough (I do my uploads @ school). However I have enough in my backlog to last me until mid-May (I’ll most likely be back at school by then). If there are any gaps in my upload schedule, I can just fill them in with animated elevators as they take little time to make and are really fast to upload because of the low storage taken up by them. But hopefully I can get all my videos out quickly! *:)*
