Pestily made great video about recoil, shows how broken recoil skills are and with few attachments that reduce recoil you can literally say good bye to recoil.
Never really felt like cheesing the game by power leveling that skill. Guess I just prefer playing legit and not taking the same lame shortcut some others do.
Recoil seems to be the better option for me. Id rather be able to hit my shots when i need to then being able to scope in quicker and miss all my shots.
Does weight affect anything other than stamina loss while ADS-ing or does it have other benefits you otherwise associate with ergo? I generally focus on low weight and recoil because ADS stamina drain is one of the more noticeable things given my play style. It's also cheap and similar to what I'd want in a firearm in reality (carrying around a 4kg Galil AR during conscription... changed me).
Did some testing with ADARs, had one that weighed 4.536kg loaded and another that weighed 2.774kg loaded, but both had 60 ergo. I think the lighter one did, in fact, ADS a little faster. I couldn't determine a difference in the sway nor ADS sound (presumably because that only changes in third person) but this does suggest that low weight has the same or similar effects as high ergo.
Honestly I go full ergo just because the recoil perk is oply broken right now, get that to max and none of you guns have any recoil anymore, basically it turns every gun into a .22 lol. If you don't have that perk maxed then I suggest the classic full recoil with a laser and just hipefire at head level, unless it's a bolt action, then always ergo.

I just bought a ton of cheap ammo and just sprayed the wall until it was max lol. They need to change it though, a lot of the perks are either useless or brokenly op.
One more thing: You can always get better at controlling recoil, you can't get better at how fast you aim and weapon sway. The more time you put in and the better you get, the better ergonomics becomes. So basically a player that is good at controlling recoil and has high ergo will outclass a player that has to compensate for his inability to control recoil with weapon mods. Basically, get good :D
How can you use that trijicon optic? I mean IRL they are great but in Torkov they are the clunkiest scope in the game. At least in my opinion. I go for valaday 1/6x with canted pk06 if I insist on using a scope otherwise I'm just using canted pk06 on my M4 all day on labs. I have really grown to love the canted with this wipe not just bc of the ads speed glitch but bc of how smooth it is.
The tan ACOG is the cheapest 4x in the game if you use the flea market so I use it a lot to get range without spending too much. Plus the RMR is my favourite reflex so I like that you can use it up top. Plus, TBH I like the ACOG reticle more than the Valday. I don't like the thin black line, and I like the ranging lines on the ACOG a lot. My 6x choice is the VUDU w / deltapoint in top but even then I only use it on sniper setups. I use a ton of optics setups though just to change looks etc. You'll always see different setups on my stream / vids.

I totally agree with you on this one. Undoubtedly low recoil guns are easy to use, but it's also important to keep in mind that we appreciate Tarkov for its realism. Turning a high powered round into a 6mm airsoft BB breaks the immersion quite a bit.
You are actually not fully correct on this. Weight of the weapons affects how much stamina it drains (so MP7 and RPK with same ergo, drain stamina differently). Ergonomics affects how significant the weight is. Going above 100 ergo drains almost no stamina, while going near 0 drains your stamina pool almost instantly. Try modding two m4s, both with 64 ergo but different weight (it’s possible). And you will see the difference.

run scav runs on interchange an farm stuff there is the easiest way to get money
If you loose everything, Prapor will send you an AKS74U with some AP rounds. Also, scav raids are profitable and demand nothing
