  • In this video I make a steel rose out of 18ga sheet metal using a small metal shear and a torch! No forge needed! This was a fun little project and I cant wait to do more blacksmithing style builds in the future!

    That's a great tip on heating up the stem to let it oxidize and blend in the welded thorns. This looks awesome!

    The rose came out great!! Also, as it turns out, Beverly Shear is my favorite old timey exotic dancer. She had a cupping tool as well if memory serves.

    Your videos are great!! Can you please start telling us how long the work takes in total for each? With the time laps and cuts it’s hard to say. Helps when planning what projects to try. Thanks!

    You always impress with your skills in a multitude of areas. I'm surprised you didn't come across any swedge blocks in your bidding ventures. Any tips on the best auction sites to look at in the south? I'm in New Orleans.
    P.S. as I type this you use a swedge block, lol!

    Maybe you should make your own, designed by you travel cart for these gas bottles? It would be a nice project.

    Hey buddy , I’m working on making my own menorah 🕎 and would like to make it as the Bible says with Almond blossoms for candle holders. Exodus 25:31-40.
    Do you have any suggestion on what to use to make a metal almond blossom ?
    I would like to weld a menorah out of steel so the metal will have thick enough to weld

    Don't you need 5 petals ?

  • @techronmattic5876
    @techronmattic5876 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    nice job, but you make the petals as many other youtubers and you end up with a flower that looks good but is not a close representation of a rose, if you straighten out a single petal from a rose you will see it is in fact not round but wedge shaped, I take a quick look at forging a rose in a recent video, it's a much simpler technique that was shown to me by a friend, take a look if you want to see what in my opinion is a more correct and simple way
    love the channel hope you take this not as a criticism more just a different option
