We were so wasteful!!! I couldn’t believe it. Our forward line were poor. We missed Jota so much.😎
Lets get real about being real. This front 3 are not clinical enough and nunez and diaz are not bobby and mane are they. I said at the start of season a lack of goals overall will cost us, PLEASE lads prove me wrong! The margins to win this league are tracing paper thin. You cannot keep gifting goals nearly every game or keep going 1 nil down early its just not right. I think we will just fall short, but obviously i will support them to the end and hope we can pull it off.
Diaz has been helping us a lot recently, it’s Nunez and Salah who are so inconsistent. One day they will score and perform another day they will drop a stinker.
Mane wasted so many chances too it’s all of them
Utd fan here. I think all things considered, Diaz and Darwin are about as good of a replacement of mane/firmino as one could ask for.
I think Diaz is brilliant (albeit not reached Mane incredibly high levels yet), but you have to consider how young Darwin still is. I think in a few years time and if he calms down abit and matures then he will be in the top bracket of CF’s in the world.
Mo is a strange one though. Would be worth considering taking the money if Saudi offer something stupid for him. It’s not just the cash but the wages!

Klopp’s comments after game have proved that he doesn’t have a ruthless winning mentality which is why we have won only 1 league title under him. How can he say people will say it’s 2 points dropped but for him it’s 1 point gained???? Is he purposely trying to wind us up?
And don’t give me that oh he is protecting the players nonsense. You can be brutally honest without calling out individuals. Go and watch VVD’s interview after the game and compare it to the nonsense Klopp was saying.
Klopp wasn’t exactly at fault for today’s result but for him to let these players get away with the same peformance 3 times in a row against this United team is absolutely criminal. He has to take responsibility just for that
Is he supposed to spank them? What would not “letting them get away with it” look like, given he was clearly livid and shouting at them from the side of the pitch? Taking today: Nunez played like a donkey, should he call him out by name rather than saying the team were very wasteful with their chances? Klopp gave him enough opportunity, but his other option is Gakpo, and look what he’s offering for 90% of the time.
Klopp’s comments were ridiculous because the fans know it’s a huge blow, but realistically it’s all he can say after it’s done, without saying we fucked it, it’s a terrible result, and it looks pretty hopeless now? VVD can be remorseful in the post match and bemoan the draw being a loss, but unless he’s rallying the players on the pitch, it doesn’t really matter.
I always get the feeling he’s not harsh enough with the players. There’s no ruthlessness, which breeds carelessness

@@96s40He’s supposed to not do the same thing for a third time if it didn’t work the first 2 times you’ve tried it. Why are you playing Konate against a dead Sheffield game instead of saving him for the biggest game of the season.
We have the highest xG in the league so creating chances isn't an issue. But we are one of the only teams that underperform xG so our finishing is very bad. So our problems stem from the fact our forwards don't put away chances.
Klopp is being let down by our forwards. Look at Nunez. He hasn't scored against a top 7 team and his last top 10 goal came in November.
For all Salah's issues, he's still always the most consistent so i don't get all this criticism he (and Jota) are the only ones who don't underperform xG
Agree Drifty, Salah's comeback has definitely affected not only Nunez , but us as a team. We were actually fucking good when Salah was injured. We are just taking time to get used to playing with him again.
When Salah was injured we had Jota, and if im correct we had only one game in the pl without both, so based on one game performance you are staying that we were better without him.
I know he has been shit but that is not the reason why the rest of the forwards also been shit.

Why is it about Salah coming back? Jota got injured around the same time. Why isn't it that? Or the fact Nunez can't score against any decent team? He hasn't scored against a top 10 team since September. Or what about the fact Diaz doesn't create chances for other players? Has Diaz made a single chance for Nunez this season?
We had an xG of nearly 4 against United. You can't blame one player destabilizing our attack when we clearly create loads and don't score.

Nunez is the biggest problem with this squad. He is a dud and must be sold. I predicted that his wastefulness would cost Klopp and LFC in the long run. Now that goals from Salah have dried up, his misses have even more significance!

Every time I watch Liverpool play we never control the game, our passing is rubbish, we cross, we take unnecessary shots, we lose the ball in stupid positions. Every time we get the ball, it’s like we just want to attack straight away and get a goal quick.
It comes from Klopp and coaches, never have we actually see us control a game or see us do a nice bit of build up play, unless it’s Sheffield or something.
Arsenal and Man City take care of the ball, the ball is stuck to their feet like a magnet.
What do we do? We press like headless chickens, get the ball back and lose it straight away. (Whole loop)

Keep saying this. Most of these players are not reliable bc their technical quality is so low and the system can only hide the deficiencies for so long. We are desperately missing D Jota, In the last few games we have played look at the chances we have created to the chances converted. Diaz, Nunez and Salah are so wasteful. The only reason Arsenal have an 8 goal difference in the league is because we are not clinical enough. If our attackers were more clinical during the most vital part of the season wed be so far ahead in the league by now. It is so so so frustrating. We need Jota back in squad and team as soon as possible, one thing with Jota we all know is he dont play games in front of goal.

There is something about failure in the Big Big games under Klopp. We have won trophies and Klopp is and will remain one of best managers in our history but our record in big MUST WIN games is pretty poor, just saying!
If we let this title get away it will be another one that was there for the taking and we couldn't or didn't handle the clutch moments.

Drifty prediction was right! Our midfielders are over hyped and overrated! They looks great against lower sides and weaker team but when we play in important games like this we can see how Endo, Macca, Sobbo are far beyond our old midfielders like Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, James Milner. Even our injuries prone players like Thiago, Naby Keita, Ox, Shakiri, Adam Lallana, Gini Wijnaldum we always beat MU and created more chances for Mane, Firmino and Salah, Origi. And even without our top players we still can beat Barcelona with them. This new midfielders won wins us any top fight games maybe we need more times because we are still in rebuild process this season. So what I'm expecting the early season was right we just play for the top four. We don't have enough depth in squad to go for the league title and winning European championship!!

Salah on the right is stale for me. Every other team has been used to him for years. Why not stick him up front like we did with Mané? Our attack looked refreshed and unpredictable when he was out, with Díaz right and Núñez left, imo.

Imagine these players playing in a better coached controlled way. looking forward to change this way of playing is too chaotic and makes below average sides have confidence and look better that they are . Apart from alisson, Trent, Virgil, Matip, Thiago, Elliott, and Mac Allister the rest of the team’s footballing brain is lacking massively.

Goal. The goal difference should be higher and we should have a least 10 more points if we buried our chances against arsenal and city at home, Brighton away, Luton away and United today. Why can’t we finish teams off?
Hard disagee on this being the most painful "title loss".
The lads this season shouldn't have really been anywhere near winning a title yet. After the shitshow that was last season, managing to get to the point where we are now after only 1 summer window is nuts. The road to the point we've reached now should have been longer by rights, and what makes it more mad is the fact that without the refs being shite and being riddled with injuries we'd have been in a much better position.
If we don't win it now then I'll be disappointed but I'm not gonna be destroyed, City are City, Arsenal are further along in their development than this liverpool iteration.
Hopefully they'll slip up somewhere, hopefully we'll win the Europa besides.

Arsenal don't have harder games though. 3 away games in a row including the derby and Vila away. 4 of the 7 games left are away from home and 1 of them isn't till the final day when it might not matter.

Arsenal have a tough run. If they win all their renaming games, then they deserve the title. We only have ourselves to blame. Saying that, I do not think it's over yet. Klopp was poor. Bradley should have stayed on. Dawin stayed on. Add the goals to the team when you have 70% possession not take away goals. Gakpo and Elliott/Jones should have been the first subs...earlier. i was hoping for that change on 50/55th minute.
Klopp lost his head and his decisions reflected it. Shape was horrible at the end too.

Alexis was excellent again, and Elliott was very good; even Quansah I struggle to blame because he was very good for 95% whilst our forwards shit the bed and 2/3 midfielders weren’t up to standard. Robertson’s crossing and corners were very poor too I thought, if it weren’t for that huge error to go 1-1, Robertson had a worse game than Quansah.
I absolutely believe Klopp believed we would get Bellingham. It should have been Bellingham + 4 others, but he was told it’s either / or. The game was crying out for someone to bury his chances.

Who even needs best in class players when we have Endo, Gravenberch, etc. That’s the main difference between winning and losing in the end- the better the players, the better the odds, especially when the manager has shown himself so able to exceed expectations/ outperform both at LFC and Dortmund.

The chances missed by our front three are basic bread and butter chances, that even when you start playing for fun with your mates in the park is what you are presented with and even if you are half decent at playing football you put away, but for these players who walk around claiming to be "elite level pro footballers" to miss such chances with this amount of regularity at this level is mindbogglingly poor, and on top the decision making is also shockingly amateur level, when it becomes so regular then the Manager and his coaching staff have to be questioned because clearly they are not able to address the issues, and that is their primary role and responsibilities, address the flaws in the players and the flaws in every player we have remains under this manager and his coaching staff.
