it was a super fun day probably one of my best days ever (fishing and in general) I cant wait for the next time we get to go out on the water!!!!(oh yeah and not raising my rod as high has helped me boat a few more eyes over the last couple of days)

Nothing gets better than this type of video. Love seeing the younger generation getting in on the action. I have started taking my nephew out who is only 5 years old so the catch and release is a must teach. I have no problem leaving my rods at home and simply helping and teaching him about the ways. Keep up the great work Clayton. Great video.

There were a lot of amazing people on this day out there... So many boats with young kids as well as other adults who took out kids that were not theirs as well. 30 boats of youth plus 7 on the waiting list. It was pretty awesome to see!!

Haha. No.... I said “not that I don’t trust you”. I just wanted the kids to spend as much time in the water as possible :). Made the most sense for me to net the fish because I would also be dealing the the fish.

Fishing is always fun it’s just slightly disheartening when your goal for a day is to put that kid on some fish and it doesn’t really happen. I definitely learned a few things about trying to teach someone.. such as ask what line they have on the rod they brought from home, 80lb braid for walleye is not a good start

What’s up with all you big youtube fishermen pinching tails all the time? 🙄
Rule for the tournament was all fish were to be measured with the fishes tail the width of that exact board I was using:) so it was the same for everyone.
So, if you are just fishing by yourself and catch something worth measuring, do you pinch the tail?
