  • After watching The Chosen season 4 Episode 1-6, I believe the most important moment in The Chosen has just happened. This video breaks down there Jesus is emotionally in this season, and why Gaius is the key to this important moment.

@@yippeeepson A few chariot wheels are the kind of feeble evidence that makes the grilled cheese sandwich with Mother Mary's face worth 40,000 dollars. No Christian archeologist has found the slightest evidence of Moses or the Exodus, but Ron Wyatt the pseudo-archeologist has found everything. You will find him awesome. You feel? You know? Facts help. When people go before a judge and say I thought, or I felt, the judge raises the eyebrow and looks at the person and thinks that this person didn't know. They had a hunch, an idea, a feeling, an idea about something, but the person didn't actually know for sure. Knowing is superior to a feeling or - thinking you know something. Once you master history you can win arguments. If you don't know, then it is hard to win. Any idea who the Exodus pharoah was? No one else does, so if you find it then please let us know. That scene with Gaius coming to Jesus exactly when he did, and embracing him, then putting his hand on Jesus’ head, was so powerful and beautiful! Gaius was ministering to Jesus and loving Him with a full and grateful heart for who He is and what He means to Gaius! It just moved me to say to the Lord, ‘I hope you feel loved back, thanked, and cherished by me Lord!’ It was anointed and perfect! ❤️

I think the most important scene was the moment when Little James asks Jesus why he has not healed him even when he sees that he's a disciple and has been faithful to him all along. The scenario moved and moved me to tears. Up till this moment jt still resonates in my mind. Very very powerful scene. Go watch it again it is the most important moment.

i loved this and watched many times also...yet the series continues to pull this out- we all think we're better to know God and we are- yet the point is to love Him even if He doesn't physically heal. Not the point and they all wanted that- we all want that perfect life- we deserve it - right? 'unless a man hates his mother, father, family, even self- cannot be My disciple. Love God first! we are always sidelined and distracted. ok i got that- move on to next task- NO- take God first in all tasks! Not the 'natural' way but the purposed- narrow- i will follow Jesus- i won't turn back! He came to save from sin- not from Rome! we shall overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony!

I'm glad gaius got to do that in the series. Imagine how happy and excited Jesus must have been at the time to see a gentile such as him to come to him with such faith. This demonstrates to everyone regardless of what you've done in your life Jesus still loves you and wants you in his kingdom. Repentance isn't difficult if you just ask God for help.

The ending scene of episode 4 where Jesus seems to be praying and dreading the suffering to come, while watching the crushing of olives in the press, reminded me of Is 63:2-6. The wine press I have trodden alone, and of my people there was no one with me...."(St Joseph Edition, New American Bible, 1970).

The centurion also said "I TOO am a man under authority" but the show did not convey this from scripture. The centurion is under an authority just as Jesus is. And Jesus confirms that in John 14 when he says he did not come under his own authority. Jesus is not the highest authority. God is. Jesus is the name above all names, king of kings and Lord of lords but God, who is our father, is even greater. But the show and many others seems to not understand this.

It was sad but when my tears started was when I saw how pained Jesus was that his followers just weren't getting it. This scene was so powerful and one of my favorites. I think your interpretation is spot on. Just yesterday a writer pointed out in a book I
was reading that what motivated Jesus to go through with being tortured and murdered was joy. Hebrews 12:12 "Because of the joy set before Him, He endured the cross." This scene could illustrate that Jesus saw this joy set before him in Giaus.

Gaius conversion was very special, since he was a very strong friend of Mathew and a Roman centurion at the same time. He deals with his friend leaving everything including him, for Jesus. Then he begins his own journey to conversion…when he says the words “ Lord, I am not worthy of your coming into my home, but say the words and my servant will be healed “, he is enlightened literally in the show. I don’t know if they put special effects, but it’s impossible for any acting to portray the light and love that were present in him in that moment! Beautiful ♥️🙏♥️

I think it’s interesting that Gaius changes his dress during his conversion. He normally has his “scarf” tight and snug up to his chin as though he is closed to all but Rome. During these scenes his scarf is down around his shoulders, leaving his neck open and vulnerable. He has opened himself to hear and understand new ideas and making his conversion imminent. Well done!

That scene with Guias and them hugging knowing that Jesus is Lord was phenomenal. I also loved it when Jesus called Mathew to follow him. Mathew didn’t have one doubt in his mind about following him. He never looked back. Also when Mathew went to his Mother and Father to apologize to them for his selfishness in Season 3. That took so much strength with all 3 of them. It is so beautiful when people really listen to Jesus and how they get a soft Heart from Gods words. I also loved the part when Jesus is at Simon and Edens House before Jesus heals Edens Mother and Jesus talks to Eden and tells her that Eden saw in Simon what Jesus sees in Simon and how hard it is on her for her Husband to be away for so long. Then Jesus gives the Beautiful Gift of healing Edens Mother.😢 I absolutely love every single episode of The Chosen. That is why I have watched every episode 8 times or more of every Season. Great Job Dallas! Thank You so much.❤

Jesus "came to save His people from their sins" where His people is Israel. These healings are tender moments but really just evidentiary events for His authentication, not Jesus' primary purpose.
      SOME DETAILS.
      1) Since Israel accepted his miracles and feedings but Jewish leaders rejected him as Messiah and crucified Him, He, after rising from the dead and making sure His resurrection was well-witnessed, >2)
      2) ascended to Heaven from which He called Saul (Acts 9, +) into service to the Father who "wants all men to be saved." By Acts 8, the Jerusalem church had failed (financially, socially and theologically) in its effort to "bring in the kingdom" thru repentance and baptism. Then begins (Chapter 11) the church that we know today, the "body of Christ" (St. Paul's description), that advances most significantly the spiritual (vs physical) healing and salvation needed to enter into eternity with Jesus. (We could hope from psychological healing for many around us and perhaps for us too. )>3)
      3) Very hard to show this with physical images, yet the majority of those enjoying the presence of God will be not those contacting Jesus' person on earth but those cleansed by and filled with the Holy Spirit while Jesus remains in heaven (Titus 3:5-6 and many other passages). >4)
      4) Jesus IS the God of creation and current savior of all who believe in Him, so we need to urge people to take him at his word that he alone is eternal savior of all who do so. Read St. Paul and other letters he wrote based on Jesus' superseding message/mission to tell all to "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved (from sin penalty eternally)" and receive the actual presence of God within, encouraging, rebuking and guiding until we are called up to home. So much better to surrender to Him now in order to escape have Jesus as judge after parting this life. Do it today, please.

Just found your channel ... I'm learning that we many times grow as christians by the experiences and thoughts of other Christians.
God is so magnificent that it is impossible for one person to experience all that He is and has for us.
I hadn't thought before about how much Jesus appreciated and needed, yes needed, to see that His life was doing what His Father intended.
Jesus was and is sensitive and compassionate towards what we feel, think and face.
That was the purpose in God coming to us in the form of a man, so that we can see he understands and sees us.
    I appreciate this video 🌷

My first time watching this channel. Enjoyed your comments. Haven't seen any of season 4, but will when it comes out. The scripture that comes to mind regarding Jesus being encouraged by Gius is, "Who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2 From what you're saying, this episode gives us a glimpse of the joy Jesus has when anyone acts in faith, for isn't it also written that you can't please ?God without faith? Blessings.

When I saw it today I remember a Bible story from when I was little. Paul I believe was in prison for being a believer and he and the others with him were singing. The wind blew the door open and they didn’t leave and the guard was amazed. So he asked then to share about their faith and freed them and invited them over so not only he could be saved but his entire household. When I saw Guais putting out the candles and introducing the Shalom shalom to his sons and even his wife repeating it. Tells me that not only was Guais saved but his sons and wife. Makes me wonder if Atticus and the guard that is Guais' right hand man is next.

Gaius (the Centurion from Luke 7:6-7) says to Jesus, “Lord I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the word and my servant shall be healed” That line, with a small adjustment, eventually made its way into the Catholic liturgy of the Eucharist. This bit of The Chosen ties it up very neatly.
