Bit too feminine if I had to con it and I would have probably killed Abby if she killed a member of my family but I didn't want her to die because she had her reasons for what she did and she also had to look after that kid
They should've let the player choose to spare or kill. I hate that they killed an important character, and gave it an ending that was such bullshit. I'm sorry to say, but if someone killed my father, I don't care how many people I have to kill, I'm going to avenge him. I simply don't give a shit as to what your sob story was, and why you had to kill my father. I totally get they needed a driving plot, but why not kill Tommy? Why did it need to be one of the most important characters to the game? Naughty Dog already had a shit reputation before this games release, but this was a nail in the coffin them. I know myself, and a few thousand other people won't be purchasing anything they make again.

The fact that she let Ellie live after the fight is a sign of change, she got reminded my Lev what she was doing was wrong (Killing for revenge) and let her go. What i think people got upset for is because of her killing Joel way too early in the game leaving them really upset and starts to "bully" her muscular appearance. I want to see more of Abby since she has no where to go anymore.

@@ibrahimkharal8535 The techniques to build the themes were decent (parallelism between Ellie and Abby, some of the symbolism, etc) but the general story itself and the themes present have been done far before, and many times. There is absolutely nothing deep whatsoever about the story in the slightest.
Ibrahim Kharal the problem with the ending is that we are supposed to, somehow, believe that Ellie wouldn’t really want to get the revenge. We killed hundreds of people, and even dogs... and then in some cutscenes we are supposed to believe that the lives of those responsible for her misery have a bigger weight than the hundreds that we have killed so far? Not to mention that death and murder are a mundane occurrences in the series. It’s bizarre how out of touch those guys were from their own story and world building.
Yeah, but some of us still waits this to be delivered because the Game release was now when here (Scandinavia) is midsummer holiday moment and delivery stuff is not moving to anywhere few days, until but tomorrow again. 🤔 I hope i get that box by then 😃

The ending is perfect. Ellie keeps looking for Abby also if spared her twice, because she can't accept that she hadn't forgiven Joel before he died, but in the end Ellie lets Abby go, meaning that she's able to go on. Still both Abby and Ellie lose everything they cared about just to complete their revenge, but in the end they finally do the right thing

You could say of course, they were so blinded by their revenge they did everything they could to hurt each other, but in the end not off the other? Avatar the Last Airbender had a plot, that involved revenge, it handled it very well. Katara didn't forgive the man who murdered her mother, but still spared his life. That shows growth. Ellie, kills alot of people to get to abby, but when the chips are down, she couldn't do it? Why didn't she just stop at the first person? Why did it take a massacre for her to realize that? That doesn't show growth, shows how stupid they wrote her. The first game was a tragic story, but it ended in a hopeful way. How does part 2 end? With them all regretting the things they did, for the name of revenge, and everyone loses. Typically when doing an apocalypse story, you wanna show hope. Hope for humanity. Ellie killing alot of people for the sake of revenge, and not even giving us the satisfaction of seeing abby dead, or something. You wanna know how they could've handled the Joel situation? By not killing him right away. Beat him to a bloody pulp, but have ellie and their crew bring Joel back, Joel is on life support, but he won't last long. So Joel says his final goodbyes, Ellie says the things she wants to say, and it gives hope that abby isn't as terrible of a person as we would originally think. Since she wod give mercy to Joel, by letting him say his final goodbyes. She did what she wanted, but showed mercy, Ellie got to say what she wanted to say to him. And we would've had more Joel, and impactful, and emotional end for him. That, is how you write off a character who has been established.
I absolutely loved the last of us part II I beat it last night so much emotion.....I wish I got the ellie edition of the game but this would of been a great edition as well if I was early enough to buy it
I was quite honestly impressed at the level of detail on the statuette. Ellie’s jeans have a pattered texture you can feel. (Yes, I got the collector’s edition.) The bracelet s soft like a nice leather, but the whole thing is plastic. It was a little disappointing.
this is the first collector's edition I've ever purchased - solely cos I loved this game so much and I was thinking of adding something tangible on to my shelf.

Joel already made Abby feel that pain and that’s why she spent so long trying get revenge.
The ending is perfect. Ellie keeps looking for Abby also if spared her twice, because she can't accept that she hadn't forgiven Joel before he died, but in the end Ellie lets Abby go, meaning that she's able to go on. Still both Abby and Ellie lose everything they cared about just to complete their revenge, but in the end they finally do the right thing
Gianmarco Proia The end is such bullshit. They make hours of content which people get through because they think they’re going to be able to kill Abby and then that bullshit happens. The concept of revenge bad and forgiveness good is just stupid as well.
Imagine Ellie offing both Abby and Lev for revenge.... Now that would be traumatizing way for ending " they cycle of revenge" just saying.

You could say of course, they were so blinded by their revenge they did everything they could to hurt each other, but in the end not off the other? Avatar the Last Airbender had a plot, that involved revenge, it handled it very well. Katara didn't forgive the man who murdered her mother, but still spared his life. That shows growth. Ellie, kills alot of people to get to abby, but when the chips are down, she couldn't do it? Why didn't she just stop at the first person? Why did it take a massacre for her to realize that? That doesn't show growth, shows how stupid they wrote her. The first game was a tragic story, but it ended in a hopeful way. How does part 2 end? With them all regretting the things they did, for the name of revenge, and everyone loses. Typically when doing an apocalypse story, you wanna show hope. Hope for humanity. Ellie killing alot of people for the sake of revenge, and not even giving us the satisfaction of seeing abby dead, or something.
You wanna know how they could've handled the Joel situation? By not killing him right away. Beat him to a bloody pulp, but have ellie and their crew bring Joel back, Joel is on life support, but he won't last long. So Joel says his final goodbyes, Ellie says the things she wants to say, and it gives hope that abby isn't as terrible of a person as we would originally think. Since she wod give mercy to Joel, by letting him say his final goodbyes. She did what she wanted, but showed mercy, Ellie got to say what she wanted to say to him. And we would've had more Joel, and impactful, and emotional end for him. That, is how you write off a character who has been established.
I absolutely loved the last of us part II I beat it last night so much emotion.....I wish I got the ellie edition of the game but this would of been a great edition as well if I was early enough to buy it

I was quite honestly impressed at the level of detail on the statuette. Ellie’s jeans have a pattered texture you can feel. (Yes, I got the collector’s edition.)
The bracelet s soft like a nice leather, but the whole thing is plastic. It was a little disappointing.
