  • Thank you so so much for watching. I hope you found this a little helpful - I'm by no means an expert when it comes to mental health, but I really believe the more we speak about it the easier it will become to manage!

"what am I capable of today" - this is something I say to myself too. Even if it's just having a shower, if that's all I can do that day, that's all I can do, and that's okay. I usually have a to-do list as long as my arm, so it can feel awful when my to-do list literally consists of getting out of bed, but some days that's all I can do.
Also, I love my own company too. When I'm down, I need to be alone and in my comfort zone - I think it's best to be somewhere quiet, by yourself, and allow yourself to think through how you're feeling.
Amazing video Megs and thank you so much for the mention! xxx

Oh lady thank you so much for commenting and for making your video in the first place! You're such a babe and so brave. It's almost impossible sometimes not to beat yourself up about only achieving small things some days, but actually it's amazing. Sending you all the love xx

As someone already said, you are unbelievably therapeutic to watch and today was a very bad day for me, as gross as it sounds, i haven't showered and have been laid in bed all day, but after watching your video, I got up, re arranged my room at 9 o'clock at night, had a shower and I feel like a human again! Thank you so much your advice and I am looking forward to your next video like this 💕

Thank you for this video Megs. I'm such in a dark place right now, and knowing that you've been experiencing something similar, as so many people as well, helps in a way. I have so much hope that we'll all be beating this condition, and find peace and hapiness again. I send a lot of courage to all my darkness comrades tonight, we can do it guys, we deserve it ! 💪🏻

You are so therapeutic to watch and listen to, this really helped me, I am seeing a counsellor at the start of next month and have a lot of anxiety about it but I know that long term it will be a brilliant process for me, thanks again for this, girl, you're amazing 💛

Oh lady I'm so glad that you found it helpful :) Well done on being so brave and seeking out counselling, I hope that it goes okay. I think one thing to remember, and what I've been told a lot is that if the first person you speak with isn't a good fit, it doesn't mean that you should stop - sometimes it takes a while to find the best person to work with :) I'll be keeping everything crossed for you. Sending loads of love xxx

The waiting lists for NHS therapists are horrendous. Unfortunately, doctors and nurses are not allowed to suggest a private care provider. It is written into the professional code of conduct to avoid conflict of interest. (Many years ago private companies would pay for GPs to go on expensive holidays to get preferential treatment.) Your GP practice should have explained that rather than saying "try google" and treating you like a dimwit. I left mental health nursing. So underfunded and understaffed that I could not give the quality of care that I wanted. I burnt out and suffered anxiety myself. Sad to leave a job I loved but you need to look after yourself. Thank you for making this video and raising awareness. x

I am an older adult" I can say i've had a lot of experience in this area, with involvement and self
knowlege. I can honestly say things should get better in this area of health' i am personally positive and hope to be a support for others as well as i can.I know it isn't as bad as it seems.I myself am positive with my connections.

"Try Google"- ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I hate you went through that, the system really is so flawed. We need more options and easier ways to find help, that hurts my heart so much. Thanks for your videos, I feel like mental health needs to be genuinely talked about, not just as a trend, and you deliver that so well. xx

Yeah I was beyond livid! We're so incredibly lucky to have the NHS, but when it comes to mental health so much more education is needed for •everyone• involved! Thank you so much for being so kind Hannah, it really means a lot xx

I had a similar experience when I was getting help. It took me a lot to get myself to get help and when I went to my doctor they didn't provide resources for me to get proper help. I had to look for a place to get counseling through google. It is sad to see this happening in healthcare today.

mental health is only important when money is to be made. had similar experience with a gp. all they want to do is offer drugs. it can put ppl off from sharing. its hard enuff to realise and saying it out loud is very difficult bcos its upsetting to admit. depression makes you feel like a failure already without not having support 😥

I think medication can be a really helpful tool, but you're right there are so many other options to explore too. xx

wonderful_u everyone is different but i think counselling shld be offered as much as drugs. in conjunction with counselling it can help identify whats causing the issues, then it can help u 2 notice your triggers or signs of a low mood? ❤
