- This is the last day of a seven day discourse on Virataparvam by Garikapati Narasimharao garu at Undrajavaram. Mahabharatam pravachanam by eminent speakers is planned for 66 days from Feb 29th to June 23rd (2012) at Undrajavaram. Here is the link to the audio files on Virataparvam.

విరాటపర్వం విన్నా, చదివినా, చూచిన పాడిపంటలు బాగా పండుతాయని లోక ప్రశస్తి. నరసింగరావు ద్వారా ఆచరిస్తే పాడిపంటలు పండుతాయని తెలుసుకొన్నాము. 7 రోజుల ప్రసంగం 15 రోజులపాటు రోజు రాత్రి నా సమయానుకూలంగా విన్నాను. కరవు సంవత్సరములో కూడా వర్షాలు పడి విరాటపర్వం తన సత్తా చాటుకుంది. మహాభారతం అనుశాసనపర్వం విని తరువాత ఆది పర్వము నుండి శాంతి పర్వం వరకు విని మరళ వర్షము కొరకు విరాటపర్వం విన్నాను. భారతీయ సాంప్రదాయాలకు, మన గ్రంధాల గొప్పతనము నకు శతకోటి వందనాలు.
సర్, మీకు గురువుగారి కి కృతజ్ఞతలు ,ఈ ఏడు రోజుల ప్రవచనం లో చాలా విషయాలు తెలుసుకున్నాము, ఆచరించడానికి చాలా ఎక్కువ, కష్టంగా ఉన్నప్పటికీ కొన్ని రోజుల కృషితో ఓపికతో ధర్మంగా ఉంటే సాదించేందుకు అవకాశం తప్పకుండా ఉంటుంది అనే విషయాన్ని గురువుగారి ద్వారా విన్నందుకు చాలా ఆనందంగా ఉంది, నిజ జీవితంలో జరిగిన సన్నివేశాలు సమయానుకూలంగా చెప్పటం లో గురువు గారి సమయస్ఫూర్తికి నేను చాలా ఆనందపడ్డాను, మీకు గురువుగారికి మీ నుండి పొందినదానికి ఋణపడి ఉంటాము👏👏👏

this is second time .we watched and followed seven episodes of virataparvam sometime in summer and ,believe it, it rained on the lastday( no indication earlier). now , the second time also, rain has blessed us with the last episode.in fact, it has been raining in our nizamabad since morning,friday, 12 th december 2014.

What you are doing is more than a RAJASUYAM or an ASWAMETHAM. In our Punya Bhoomi, we have heard about incarnation of great people who could enlighten fellow men and direct them to the right direction such as Sri Aadhi Sankaracharya, Sri Ramanujacharya, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Sri Madhva & etc. Though directly you are not doing any preaching, you are bringing so many wonderful preachers on to one platform and making available their preachings through you tube to the entire world. So many thousands of views of your videos indicate that a great necessity of our epics in our daily life during this modern day life of speed, haste and individualism. Today simply because we got swept by the consumerism, dictated by the undue importance of money, drowned by the nuclear family concept, we see so many chaotic things happening in our society, which is otherwise still respected by the entire world for our "spirit of family life". The greatest & idealistic family life existed on planet earth superiorly only in Indian sub continent. This was mainly because of our great Epics & Puranas. Today as we forgot our base & roots on which our lives are based we are witnessing so many chaotic things such as divorces, suicides, assassinations and etc. The only way to get out of these is that just to focus on our value base and our family roots. The better way of doing it is listening to our epics time & again so that they get imbibed in our DNA in a refreshing way. YOU ARE EXACTLY DOING THAT. Hitting the nail on its head. పూజ్య గురుదేవులు గరికపాటివారు మంచి సంఘ సంస్కర్త. మూఢ నమ్మకాలు ప్రజలను అజ్ఞానం వైపు నడిపిస్తాయనీ, కనుక ప్రజలను తన ప్రవచనాలతో చైతన్యపరుస్తూ సత్యం వైపు జ్ఞానం వైపు నడిపించాలనే ఆకాంక్ష కలిగిన గొప్ప సంఘ సంస్కర్త. ఈ సందర్భంగా వారికి నాహృదయపూర్వక ప్రణామాలు.
ఎంతటి మహానుభావులైనా, ఎంతటి జ్ఞాన సంపన్నులైన కొన్ని విషయాలలో అపోహలు ఉండిఉండవచ్చు. 'తెల్లవారుఘామున కన్న కళలు నిజంఅవుతాయి' ఇది ప్రజలలో అనాదిగా ఉన్న నానుడి. ఈ నానుడి విషయంలో పూజ్య గురుదేవులు కొంత అపోహ కలిగివున్నట్లు అనిపిస్తున్నది. అయితే ప్రజలలో వున్న ఈ నానుడి అక్షర సత్యము. అవును! 'తెల్లవారుఘామున కన్న కళలు తప్పక నిజంఅవుతాయి'. ఎప్పుడూ? ఎప్పుడయ్యా అంటే పై వాక్యం యెక్క అర్థము మరియు పరమార్థం తెలిసినప్పుడు.
పైన తెలిపిన నానుడి యొక్క పరమార్థం విషయంలో గురుదేవులవారికే కాదు అనేకమందికి అపోహవుంది. ఇది మన జ్ఞాపకశక్తికి సంబందించిన విషయం. ఈ విషయం పై చర్చించాలంటే మనకు మూడు విషయాలు తెలియాల్సి వుంది. అవి 1. Knowledge (జ్ఞానము) 2. Attitute (కాంక్ష లేదా బలమైన కోరిక) 3. Practice (ఆచరణ). మనం ఏ విషయాన్నైనా ఆచరించాలంటే (Practice) ఆవిషయంపై పరిజ్ఞానం (Knowledge) మరియు కాంక్ష (Attitude) ఉండాలి. దీన్నే KAP (Knowledge, Attitude, Practice) అంటారు.
ఉదాహరణకు మనకు ప్రతీ రోజూ రాత్రి టూత్ బ్రష్ చేసుకునే అలవాటు లేదనుకుందామ్. మనం రాత్రి పడుకునేముందు బ్రష్ చేసుకుంటే మంచిదని మనకు తెలుసు. అదే బ్రష్ చేసుకోవడం పై మనకున్న విషయ పరిజ్ఞానం (KNLWLEDGE). మరి చాలామంది ఎందుకు చేయటం లేదు? ఎందుకు ఆచరించటం (PRACTICE) లేదు? ఎందుకంటే వారికి దానిపై బలమైన కాంక్ష (ATTITUDE) లేదు కాబట్టి. మరి దీన్ని ఆచరించాలంటే అలవాటుగా మార్చాలంటే మనకు దానిపై విషయపరిజ్ఞానం వుండి బలమైన కాంక్ష ఉండాలి. బలమైన కాంక్ష మనకు పెరగాలంటే మన జ్ఞాపకపు పొరల్లో నుండి పదేపదే గుర్తుకు వస్తూ ఉండాలి. మరి సాధారణ చేతన స్థితిలో (conscious state) ఇది సాధ్యం కాదు. ఆచరించాలని వున్నా మార్చుకోవాలని వున్నాఆచరించలేము, మార్చుకోలేము. ఈ మార్పు అంతఃచేతన స్థితిలో (subconsious state) మాత్రమే సాద్యం అవుతుంది. Meditation (ధ్యానం) అనే ప్రక్రియ ద్వారా మాత్రమే ఈ అంతఃచేతన స్థితి (subconsious state) సాధ్యపడుతుంది.
మరింతగా అర్థం చేసుకోవాలంటే Meditation ( ధ్యానం) ఎందుకు ఉపయోగ పడుతుంది అని అర్థం చేసుకోవాల్సి వుంది. మనం అనంతమైన సమాచారాన్ని మన మెదడు లో (ముఖ్యంగా చిరకాలం) దాచుకుని మన అవసరార్థం వినియోగిచుకోవాలంటే అందుకు ఏకైక మార్గం ధ్యానం. ధ్యాన సాధనకు ముందుగా ఏకాగ్రత అవసరం. ఏకాగ్రత అంటే అనవసరపు ఆలోచనల స్థాయిని మరియు సంఖ్యను తగ్గించడం. ఈ ఇది ఒక పట్టాన సాధ్యం అయ్యేది కాదు. ఇందుకు కొంత సాధన అవసరం. ఈ సాధన 'మనసుకు పని పెడితే అనవసరపు ఆలోచనలురావు' అనే సూత్రంపై పని చేస్తుంది. మనసు కోతి లాంటిది. మౌనంగా కూర్చుంటే అనవసరపు ఆలోచనలు దాడి చేస్త్తాయి. అలాకాకుండా మనసుకు పని కల్పిస్తే అంటే శ్వాస మీద ద్యాస ఉంచడం కానీ, 1,2, లను ఒక బోర్డు పై రాస్తున్నట్టు ఊహించడం కానీ చేయాలి. సాధన వల్ల కొంత కాలానికి మీ ఆలోచనల స్థాయి తగ్గి మీరు ధ్యానం చేయటానికి అనుకూల మార్గం ఏర్పడుతుంది. అప్పుడు మీరు ధ్యాన స్థితి సాధన లో భాగంగా మీ శరీరం తేలికగా అయిపోయి గాలిలో తేలిపోతున్నట్లుగా ఊహించడం ద్వారా మనకు కావలసిన అంతఃచేతన స్థితి (subconsious state) చేరుకోవచ్చు
